- Bet on Cobalt
- Welcome to "Bet on Cobalt" agent!
- You start with 1000 volts. You can use these volts to place bets, fund the special, purchase flair in the shop, vote on the next map, name bots in-game or have bots talk in-game.
- There are 4 phases in "Bet on Cobalt"
- 1.Betting
- The betting phase lasts for 45 seconds during which the bots purchase their character classes and the players make their bets. There are 2 kinds of bets to make:
- Team-bets
- red/blue/green/purple
- When the round is over, the last surviving bot from a team will cause that team to win. If the round timer runs out, the color of timer will determine the winner. If the timer is white, the round is a draw which means that no team wins.
- Achievement-bets
- multi/ace/whole/combo
- During the rounds, bots can earn round achievements. 'Combo' means that a bot kills two opposing bots or more in quick succession. 'Whole' means a team won the round with all members surviving. 'Ace' means that one bot killed the entire opposing team. 'Multi' means that a bot killed more than one opposing bot at the same time, usually through a well placed grenade. More than one of these events can occur during the same round.
- Odds are calculated by the Cobalt-Automated-Bookie-System, or CABS. CABS takes many things into consideration, such as current bets placed and stats from previous round outcomes.
- Example syntax:
- !bet red 10
- !bet combo all
- !bet blue 50%
- !bet multi half
- The system also understand reverse order, example syntax:
- !bet 50 blue
- !bet all red
- The system understands partial commands as long as there is no ambiguity, example syntax:
- !b r 10
- !b m half
- In addition to using a number to specify the amount of volts to bet, you can use percentages, example syntax:
- !bet red 10%
- !bet blue 95%
- And these keywords:
- all, half, second, third, quarter, forth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth.
- During the betting phase, players can also chose to fund the special. If the special is funded it will deploy during the round. There is no guarantee that the special will have any effect and there are no refunds! You can never spend more than what the special costs on the special even if you specify to spend all your volts. Example syntax:
- !fund 125
- !fund all
- 2.Round
- During the round, the top volts placed for each bet are shown around the edges of the screen.
- At this point, no bets can be made, and the fate of the round is now in the hands of the Cobalt-AI.
- If you want, you can spend volts to name a bot or make it talk. The cost of these actions is a base value + a multiplier for each letter. Talking last a couple of seconds, while the name will remain until the end of the match. Example Syntax:
- !talk Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge!
- -Max 255 letters long. (Volts: 50 + 1/letter)
- !name CoolAgent77
- -Max 32 letters long. (Volts: 500 + 10/letter)
- 3.Payouts
- After the round, the winning bets receive payouts. The top round payouts and the top tound losses are shown. This phase will also list any random participation bonuses that were payed out during the round, they range from 10 to 1000 volts.
- 4.Pause
- After a match is over, there is a 60 second pause during which the top lists are shown:
- *Richest players (Players with most current volts)
- *Highest Flair Value (Players with highest total value of all purchased flair combined)
- During the pause the shop generates 7 flair offers with limited stock. There are 5 kinds of flair that you can purchase with your volts, and you can only have 1 of each kind. The kinds are:
- *prefix -adds a prefix to your name
- *suffix -adds a suffix to your name
- *tint -changes the color of your name
- *smiley -adds a smiley after your name
- *jingle -is played when your bet is the top payout of a round
- Purchase a shop flair offer by specifying the offer id, example syntax:
- !shop 1
- !shop 6
- If you can afford the item, and you don't already have the exact same item, it will be added to your flair inventory.
- During the pause, map voting is open. The map vote has 4 randomized maps to chose from and if no votes are placed the map choice will be randomized. Vote with your volts for a map by specifying the map name. Example syntax:
- !map rain
- !map forts
- You can spend more than one volt to put more votes on a map by specifying the amount of volts after. Example syntax:
- !map rain 10
- !map sand 2%
- After the timer rounds out, a map is chosen and a new match is started.
- Running out of volts.
- If you run out of volts there are 3 main ways to get back in the game.
- * At the end of every match, all viewers will receive 100 volts.
- * At the end of every round, a randomized participation bonus is sometimes given to all viewers that range from 10 to 1000 volts.
- * At the end of every round you will receive 1 volt as long as long as you have less than 10 volts.
- A note about twitch:
- There are limits to how many messages the bot can whisper to players which means that if there are many viewers, commands like !volts might take a long time before a response can sent. This is also the reason why most confirmations of successful actions are shown in the stream directly instead of as a response in the chat.
- DISCLAIMER
- We take no responsibility for lost volts or unfair bets or broken systems or actual or perceived damages! This is all for fun, and for free. There is no volt refund policy and we do not guarantee that the betting system will remain stable at any point in time. Please enjoy your stay!
