the girl was born in incheon. when she was nearly one year old, they moved to kyoto, where her grandparents were. she was always quiet and polite to others. despite her quiet manner, the girl is quite good at debate and such, thus always winning the arguments she was dragged into. because of her argumentative behavior, yujin soon had a dream to become a lawyer. despite her ambitious dream, a few students teased her and made the girl self-conscious - making her getting panicked every time she was forced to speak when she was not agitated.
          the girl was soon moved back to korea when she was sixteen. despite not wanting to since she was nervous, she followed her family and was actually happy living there. that was when life became downhill. she was soon bullied for being a foreigner and became more and more sensitive. her anxiety attacks getting worse.

the girl is quiet and never really speaks out her mind, only when others questions her. despite her passive-like nature, she is very sensitive, whether it's psychically or emotionally. she can be a crybaby. she has this weird mentally if not wanting to speak. because of her weak stamina, whenever they do an activity of some sort, she would whine - claiming that she was exhausted.
    shockingly, when one of the members argued with her, she was a totally different person and was confident and bold whenever there was a hurtful statement given. she instantly gets defensive.

relationship timeline:

1, 2, 3 ; at first yujin was very secluded and didn't dare to even talk to him. jaehyun on the other hand was. he was intrigued by her behavior - remembering a quote of a book he read, ' a flower that was yet ready to bloom, waiting for it's sun to shine upon it and make it bloom beautifully.' to which he wanted to do so, he was determined to be friends with her.

DRIPPIN ; soon yujin did open up to him, occasionally sharing her opinions of the book he would lent her. sometimes they would even exchange books just to see if it perked their interest. the two became close friends and jaehyun often was clinging onto her and give affectionate hugs when the girl was feeling blue. they soon found out that they were in the same psychology class, which shook them but made them even more close.

WE GO UP ; yujin and jaehyun soon developed feelings for each other - both knowing what they were feeling from the books they have read in their spare time. both were debating on whether or not to confess, afraid for the awkward atmosphere that could be fallen upon them. in the end, the two didn't back down and had their own plans to confess. jaehyun wanted to try and write a book dedicated to the girl, including from the first time they met and his feelings for her all this time while yujin used all the pictures they took together and made a book of it. in the end, the two bookworms made book-related gifts and surprised each other with it. the confession was a success.

why are they on the road trip: he wanted to take pictures for his instagram and blog that he has been using for the past three years.

backstory:

   jaehyun was often seen making friends, always very bubbly despite his quiet nature. the boy grew up loving photography because of his grandfather, who would teach him how to take pictures since a very young age. his passion for photography grew and when he was in high school, psychology had also perked his interest. his parents were content that their only child was very active in school and was always in the top 10.
       when jaehyun soon moved out of his parents house to his own apartment, he learned to work even harder for his family. the boy soon met a few friends and became one of the popular boys for his friendly nature. when he started visiting the library near his campus, yujin had perked his interest.

she got it from getting bullied in the past. the girl, despite knowing how to win an argument and such, will feel nervous when she is suddenly getting dragged into it. a lot of time she does know how an argument will head into but if someone suddenly taunts her despite not doing anything - she will panic. another trigger is when she feels self-conscious. this is what mostly triggers her. the sudden stupid feeling inside her head, taunting her and triggering her nerve system. when she realizes all eyes are on her and she doesn't have anyone to give her mental support. she'll feel trapped and suffocated.
    to add up, there is an item she always avoid using. a pencil sharpener. the knife can be taken out (i've honestly had past experiences with these). a few classmates would use it to bully her, causing her to flinch everytime she sees a sharpener. just seeing it makes her nauseous.
