  1. Āıden Aberdene : Whatever it was they saw, the angelic being off in the distance had been the focus for that first evening. Spending the hours watching out the windows as if they'd be attacked or surprised by an unknown visitor. At one point they'd come to the conclusion that it was hours of driving and little sleep, and likely a bird of some sort that just looked like something else. Of course he'd made the joke once or twice it was possibly an alien come to abduct and study them. Fortunately he believed in that Aliens didn't exist since the Vampire theology revolved around being cursed by Cain's actions against able. But he dwelled not in the past, but in the present. Helping her unpack, and eventually moving his burrito'd seer from the couch to the bed they'd be sharing for the next few evenings, where he too would fall into a quiet slumber enjoying the quiet comfort of having a living body beside him. No not just that he was enjoying the fact that it was Margot, the fact that she had +

  3. Āıden Aberdene : somehow nestled into his arms, and fallen into a quiet, but not so peaceful slumber. It had been several weeks of time spent with one another, texting talking and facetiming. Spending hours lost in conversation, playing chess, or just listening to music and saying nothing. He'd watched her sleep several times, and had always chalked up the restlessness to her coming down from her former life as an liquor driven fem-not-so-fatalle. (But at times vomital) Of course he was blind to the truth, though there had been some signs and slip ups that if he'd been less focused upon his own emotions, he might have caught. Now, it was day two and with no visitation from alien beings, nor anal probing. Aiden woke up feeling refreshed and for once rather optimistic for the evening to come. While she slept, he quietly prepared an evening of what he felt to be soothing (and entirely NOT romantic) things for them to do. Chess board and pieces unpacked, dinner in the oven, a beautiful beef roast+

  5. Āıden Aberdene : with roasted veggies, The sounds of vaudeville era classics playing from his iphone. Like you would expect from someone centuries old, he was a perfectionist with everything he did. From the plates on the table. A spot set for him despite him not needing it. To the glass of and bottle of Fine sparkling grape juice to simulate a rose brut. Yeah, Aiden had gone all out, and still never questioned his own motives. As if he was ignorantly blind to the fact that Margot had worked her way into the beating of his undead heart. Now all that remained was to awaken sleeping beauty, and he hoped the fine scent of coffee wafting from the press would be enough to do so. If not, well he wasn't opposed to wakening sleeping beauty with a cold...bucket of water (Bukkit) -end-

  55. Margot : •••Her dreams through that night (day) were plagued with a series of strange, senseless imagery. Not only had she somehow managed to discard all of her clothing, save for a t-shirt and underwear, in her sleep-- she had also been drawn to the cool respite of Aiden’s supine body in her heated somnolent state. When the first sign of vespers overtook the daytime, she finally slept restfully. It wasn’t until the distinct scent of craft-roasted coffee piqued her senses that she groaned awake in the middle of the bed. A small, withy figure in the midst of over-sized down duvets, cashmere blankets, and flannel sheets writhed in protest. One thin hand reached out into the empty spaces beside her, pawing for Aiden-- who wasn’t there. Rising from the cloud-like pile of blankets, she rubbed her temple and sighed, “Fuck me…” came the sound of her groggy voice, hair a mess over her shoulders and forehead. The eternal migraine persisted yet another day. Shuddering from the sudden introduction -c
  56.
  57. Margot : of cold air, she pulled the blankets up around her shoulders and glanced around the room. She could hear the sound of Aiden’s favorite era, echoing from the kitchen and down the hall. Dragging the blanket along with her like a long, bushy tail, she didn’t bother to dress herself (because she still hadn’t realized she wasn’t wearing pants.) It was snowing outside the cabin, and the warm glow of the wood-stove beckoned with it’s own rustic, cedary scented promises. Peering around the corner as she came out of the hall, the seer spied Aiden cooking and singing along. Grinning as she watched, her cell phone slipped out from between the part in the blankets she held around herself, opening snapchat to apply a filter that occasionally popped rabbit’s ears and a high-pitched voice onto the screen, imposing them onto Aiden as she recorded blackmail for later use. It wasn’t until she realized that the signal out here was absolute shit that she understood there would be no sending of -c

  59. Margot : blackmail snaps. Settling for the peace of withdrawal from the real world while she was detoxing, the clairvoyant accepted it with a petulant scoff. Eventually, she’d walk out from her hiding place (which he undoubtedly already knew) and over to the vampire chef where he stood at the stove. She hesitated for a moment, but then leaned forward, pressing the front of herself and the side of her cheek to his back. “Evening.” she murmured in a croaking voice, internally sighing as the cool temperature of his flesh passed through his clothing and soothed her aching head. •••

  85. Āıden Aberdene : The music had shifted era's to something a bit more modern, but nearly fitting in the situation. the crooning of the Unchained Melody sung by the righteous brothers wafted from the speakers of his phone, and the feel of warmth against his back had him relaxing, and inwardly releasing a tender sigh of contentedness from his lips. " Good Morning Sunshine. " After all, the warmth of a Mortals skin was as close to the sun as any vampire would ever get. However he was soon shifting, to face her, in one hand he held a cup of coffee freshly brewed from the press and gently placed into her hand. " I hope you slept well " He stated softly " Because I have a night full night of fun and excitement awaiting us. " He chuckled some and added absently. " And no I still don't plan on getting 'bitey' with you. " He recalled the joke she'd coined the night before. (Though seemed to instantly apologies for later) No doubt knowing Margot if she'd known that he'd been supplementing with blood +

  119. Āıden Aberdene : delivered in bags, and warmed through a pigs body. She might have willingly offered herself to him. But even now, with a mild hunger, the thought of biting her neck brought forth more than just a desire to feed. It was more intimate in it's want. As if the idea of pressing his lips to her flesh could cause him to crumble into the ash vampires were known to do upon their death. Or maybe it was knowing the moment he tasted her in that fashion. He'd never be able to remove himself from her. That every waking moment would be spent wanting to touch, and hold her. Wanting to be near her was hard enough to navigate. Or rather he made it harder then it was. Wanting to avoid attachment, and yet becoming entirely attached. It was maddening, She so often seemed so self assured in everything that they were doing. Never once faltering in her steps. and often unknowingly leading him further down the rabbits hole. " Dinner's almost ready " he said finally letting his hand fall from her own +

  121. Āıden Aberdene : " The internet's shit out here, so it looks like we won't be catching up on any of our shows tonight, But I still have some classics on my laptop. " He turned towards her with a smile " And of course, I did manage to download that french film you requested too " -end-

  163. Margot : •••Taking the cup between both hands gratefully, the withy seer lifted it to sip gingerly, grinning around the rim of the cup as she shrugged her shoulders under the blanket. “I slept.” she interjected passively. Humored by his comment, she tipped her head from side to side, seeming to tease at him with the fleeting swaths of flesh at her throat underneath panels of long, curly hair. “I know.” she added, turning to wander over to a the fire. She gazed out the window for a moment and watched the snow fall, drinking from the cup of coffee. When he mentioned dinner, she grimaced. Part of the deal was that she needed to eat regularly while here-- but left over nausea plagued her from the night’s dreams. “Don’t be offended if I don’t eat a lot…” she warned, turning to watch him over a shoulder. He would understand, she assumed, based on the fact that he seemed to know every last detail regarding her needs as she withdrew. On the note of the internet, she nodded. “I noticed.” -c

  167. Margot : she added, resolving to leave her phone plugged in for the rest of their trip. Wandering around the inside of the cabin with her coffee, still dragging the blanket with her, she inspected the decor, touching things every so often with curiosity. “Oh, good. I thought you meant we were going outside.” she breathed when he mentioned the movies he’d made sure to download. Shivering a bit inside the blanket, she mentally praised the gods of warmth and comfort that she wouldn’t be made to brave the snow while her head pounded. Her wavering path of inspection brought her to the table, which had been set with care and intention. Margot’s fingertips grazed the place settings with a humored glance up at him. “You don’t have to eat just to throw it back up again. We’re alone.” she teased. Her last word seemed to hang in the air for a moment, reminding them both that they were utterly isolated from the world outside of their cabin. Clearing her throat, she’d slip into a seat and set her -c

  170.
  171. Āıden Aberdene : Within the comfort of that cabin, the sound of her words nearly echoed. Yes they were entirely and totally alone. He hadn't thought about that fact. That they'd be spending several evenings uninterrupted. His back turned to check the oven, and to hide the sudden look of terror upon his face. Internally he was doing his best to not find himself shaking with concern for his own actions. He'd come close to biting her many times, usually fate had a way of intervening. Such as Eva barging in on them, Sofia's phone calls, and other useful interruptions from those moments. But he'd fed, and had blood stashed away to ensure he wouldn't be tempted. A deep, unneeded breath, more to calm his nerves then to smell the scent of the roast as it wafted from the oven. A skillful gathering of the knife and a few slices of meat to be brought to a plate, roasted veggies and he was setting the table for her. " I forget that sometimes you know exactly what I am " he said honestly as he moved to +

  173. Āıden Aberdene : sit across from her, his hands coming to the table and together as he realized he'd gone from his usual charismatic self to a more reserved and likely awkward version of himself. " And don't worry, I know you eat like a bird " he said honestly " But that's fine, as long as you're putting something other then bagels and chips in your stomach. " He shifted his tone to a more mirthful one. " I mean, I want you healthy before I get bitey after all " he chuckled some leaning back into the chair and looking upward to the roof of the cabin. A long pause then a sigh and his focus shifted back to her as he spoke " you're looking better " he said finally " not that you didn't look good before! " he corrected" But I mean, you look healthier then you did " He brought his hand to the back of his neck " and the thought of building snowmen in the middle of the night has crossed my mind. But I figured we'd spend the evening indoors and let the bears and beavers do that for us. " he waved +

  185. Margot : •••Margot seemed unfazed by the weight of his sudden realization, as it was already something she’d fully considered and set about navigating. Every moment alone with him was somewhat of a risk, to the unknowing voyeur. For Margot, things were a bit different. The kind of trust that came naturally to her wasn’t without good reason. (Though some could argue with her on the definition of ‘reasonable’ in regards to spending any solitary time with a vampire. He set the plate and food before her, and her stomach growled with anticipation--earning a surprised animation from her. Maybe she was hungry, after all. She picked up her fork and pulled apart the meat with it gingerly, watching it fall apart without resistance. Glancing up at him as he sat across from her, her brows rose and she shrugged, legs folding up underneath the table onto the chair with her. A chilly breeze reminded her that she was not wearing pants. “You didn’t make it very difficult, uh…” cue: lack of pants -c
  186.
  187. Margot : realization-- she gestured to her own eyes with the fork to detract his attention as she navigated the blankets under the table with clumsy human finesse. “Have you registered yet?” she asked, tilting her head as she bit into a carrot from the end of her fork. Pale green eyes surveyed him with interest, tracing the outlines of his eyes as she considered their lucent glow on the night they’d first met. She ate as they talked, not bothering with proper table etiquette between chewing and speaking-- he’d seen her in worse states, and it further admitted her comfort around him. She smirked as he stumbled through the unintentionally back-handed compliment, nodding a little overly enthusiastically as he continued. “Oh, yeah?” she asked, tongue curling around the back of her teeth as she set her fork on the plate, smug expression ambient in the cozy cabin light. Her expressions challenged his words, egging on his discomfort as he managed to save the conversation. The time when she’d -c
  188.
  189. Margot : have the upper hand was dwindling, she knew. Best to enjoy it while she could. “I might not mind as much tomorrow night.” she replied, leaning back into the chair to signal how full she was. “Once I can shake this headache.” she admitted, sipping the sparkling grape juice with complacent resolution. It wasn’t wine, and it was a terrible pretender. Moving her plate out of the way, she leaned forward on the table, elbows propped to either side of her, hands folded around the bottom of her coffee cup-- which she preferred to the juice. “Listen. I know your secret. I guess it would be selfish not to share mine.” she interjected abruptly, forcing it out of herself so that there was no going back. He’d latch onto the sentence, maybe having some kind of inkling that she wasn’t ‘normal’, and wouldn’t let go. She was forcing herself to tell him, no longer wanting it hanging over her head. Margot shifted in her seat so that her legs rested over the arm of her chair, bare from the knee -c

  191. Margot : down, thighs covered with the blanket she’d been trailing around. Despite her internal quandaries, she looked cool as a cucumber. •••
