- > What is Masked Quest?
- > Masked Quest is an absolutely awful romhack for Majora's Mask that remixes a number of the games dungeons and other locations. It also attempts to patch out many glitches, skips, and sequence breaks commonly used in speedruns, such as:
- - ISG, by removing crouch stabs entirely
- - Indexwarp, by removing hidden owl
- - Longjumps, by making all bombs knock you over
- - Climbing on the walls in Deku Palace, by putting fences on the walls
- - Most methods of Lullaby Skip, but he missed one :)
- - Early Great Bay, with a big fence
- - Early Ikana, by removing the hookshottable trees
- Additionally, these glitches aren't removed, but are made more difficult to perform due to dry rolls being removed:
- - Weirdshots (also harder because you don't have a shield for most of the run)
- - HESS
- - Megaflips
- Not only this, but in some areas where glitches that would allow it to be completed extremely quickly weren't patched, the game just disables your c-button items so you can't use bombs or something. Despite all this, the speedrun for this hack is actually still really unique, as the limitations in place mean a lot of lesser used techniques make up the route.

- > What version are you playing on?
- > I am playing the most recently publicly released version of Masked Quest, 4.3.
- > What is your goal for this category?
- > I definitely am not looking for the level of optimization I typically look for in my speedruns, as this is going to be a shorter project for me. I know for sure that a time around 2:30 should be possible, so something around there would be a good start.
