[03:32] <flibbyjibbits> everyone is screaming and running, jim's commanding officer is too drunk to comprehend whats going on, the Illusionist tries to toss up a fake image of the king still alive to calm people down but its a bit too late for that since theres gnomebits in the food and tapestries
  13. [03:33] <flibbyjibbits> A couple of the royal attendents pick up the kings body and hurry it out of the room, other guards rush to try to close the doors
  14. [03:34] <Moonside> I'm a little traumatized since everything happened so quickly and the little gnome exploded in my facec.
  15. [03:36] <CommodoreJim> I swear under my breath for not acting fast enough as my gaze instinctively turns to the people the gnome came in with.
  16. [03:36] <Skeleton> (He's looking this way... I hope I look like less of a giant tool but the gnome blood isn't helping)
  17. [03:37] <CommodoreJim> Also, will Eltro have slept through this entire thing
  18. [03:37] <Skeleton> The skeleton dentist had to put him under.
  19. [03:37] <Skeleton> Root canal.
  20. [03:38] <flibbyjibbits> The illusionist fires off a couple of mass slumber spells on the other tables and starts stepping over sleeping bodies towards the group
  21. [03:38] <Moonside> I'm sitting in fetal position wherever I was hiding, probably under the table, imaging what will happen to me now. Jail? Death sentence? What will Elly think once she hears of this?
  22. [03:38] <Skeleton> (Man... what's gonna happen now... I hope the axe guy is on our side... He cannot lose! Look at his muscles!)
  23. [03:38] <Deathfish64> I'm still mumbling "I helped..."
  24. [03:38] <Deathfish64> (Do I get experience for that sweet assist?)
  25. [03:39] <flibbyjibbits> [I deal experiance on an encounter basis so in this case the stirct participation isnt important]

  27. [03:39] <CommodoreJim> I bark at the group. "Do you know -anything- about this!?"
  28. [03:40] <Skeleton> "Eh? Uh!?"
  29. [03:40] <Skeleton> "I didn't even know that man's name"
  30. [03:40] <Moonside> "I-I-I-I don't know anything please don't kill me!"
  31. [03:40] <Deathfish64> "I never met the guy before this morning! Also I totally helped kill him tell me you saw that!"
  32. [03:41] <Skeleton> "He recruited us for this game. We're all strangers to each other."
  33. [03:41] <Skeleton> "And I was going to help but I was too slow"
  34. [03:41] <Skeleton> I sink into my shoulders
  35. [03:41] <CommodoreJim> I relax my posture slightly, but I still don't shoulder my axe. "Is that so...?"
  36. [03:42] <flibbyjibbits> "All of you, come with me now." The mage says. "You too, guard."
  37. [03:42] <Skeleton> (That axe is so huge)
  38. [03:42] <Skeleton> (How does his arm not get tired)
  39. [03:42] <CommodoreJim> "Yessir." I respond quickly, standing at attention and shouldering my axe. "Right away sir."
  40. [03:43] <Skeleton> (I get winded carrying firewood two logs at a time. With telekinesis)
  41. [03:43] <Moonside> "..." I get up slowly, because I'm still a little shaken, and follow the illusionist.
  42. [03:43] <Deathfish64> I get up and go
  43. [03:43] <Skeleton> (Good thing none of US had weapons on us)
  44. [03:43] <Moonside> Ahem.
  45. [03:44] <Skeleton> (I'm sure glad none of us snuck weapons in...)
  46. [03:44] <flibbyjibbits> He taps the court priest on the head, and waves a door open, "Cast a truthtelling circle in this side room, please." The priest does so, "All of you, into the circle."
  47. [03:45] <Moonside> I suddenly remember that I still have my knife on me.
  48. [03:45] <flibbyjibbits> you can try to make a will save against this if you want
  49. [03:45] <Moonside> Uh, sure.
  50. [03:45] <Deathfish64> Pikkupstix has nothing to hide
  51. [03:45] <Skeleton> I submit
  52. [03:46] <flibbyjibbits> are you sure you want to resist the truthtelling? The pathfinder version has a visual effect above those effected by it so they might notice if you're resisting
  53. [03:46] <CommodoreJim> I step into the circle, still eying everyone suspiciously. Especially the quiet, shifty-looking girl.
  54. [03:46] <Moonside> Oh, that might not be such a good idea, then.
  55. [03:46] <Deathfish64> I read that as shitty-looking
  56. [03:46] <Moonside> Alright, I'll submit too.
  57. [03:46] <Skeleton> (The axe guy... is he falling in love with the book girl?)
  58. [03:47] <Skeleton> (Maybe then he'll join us for adventures)
  59. [03:47] <flibbyjibbits> "When did you meet him?" The Illusionist asks. The priest brings in the most intact peices of gil, with his equipment
  60. [03:47] <Moonside> I'm feeling a little better now, but still a little aprehensive.
  61. [03:48] <Deathfish64> "Just this morning."
  62. [03:48] <Moonside> "Y-yesterday... he came into the capital library, which I work at, and... asked me to be part of his team for today's reenactment."
  63. [03:48] <Moonside> Wait, do I still have the letter he dropped then?
  64. [03:48] <Deathfish64> You gave it back to him I think
  65. [03:48] <flibbyjibbits> you gave it back to him, so its on the body
  66. [03:48] <CommodoreJim> ..."body"
  67. [03:48] <Moonside> Hmm.
  68. [03:49] <Moonside> Yeah, it might as well be ashes now.
  69. [03:49] <CommodoreJim> It's...quite likely illegible now.

  71. [03:49] <Skeleton> Did I have an invitation? and DID I meed him prior to this day or what
  72. [03:50] <flibbyjibbits> i'm assuming it was a vertical axesmash so at least part of the paper survive

  75. [03:50] <Skeleton> But the chop destroyed his chair too

  78. [03:50] <Skeleton> "He was all like 'yo dude you wanna pretend to kill a dragon' and I was all 'yeah I'm not busy'"

  80. [03:51] <Moonside> "U-uh... I remember that back at the library, he dropped a paper that had a symbol that looked like an L in it. I don't know exactly what it meant, but I think it might have been related to Farim..."
  81. [03:51] <Skeleton> "He told me his name"
  82. [03:51] <Skeleton> "But I forgot it..."
  83. [03:51] <Moonside> "Besides that, he never told me anything else about himself..."
  84. [03:52] <Moonside> "Ah, his name is Gil."
  85. [03:52] <Moonside> "At least... that's what he said."
  86. [03:53] <Deathfish64> Is Tombs in the room?
  87. [03:53] <Skeleton> "I just realized he probably thought I was the perfect chump to die in the reenactment >:U"
  88. [03:54] <flibbyjibbits> He is silent for a few moments, looking lost in thought. The truthtelling spell wears off, since the priest wasn't strong enough to maintain it for more than a few answers. "I'm going to have to keep you in the prison for tonight, I'll ask you some more questions in the morning."

  90. [03:54] <Skeleton> "Not you, sir. I meant Gil"
  91. [03:54] <CommodoreJim> "What! You can't do that! I'm a member of the guard!"
  92. [03:54] <flibbyjibbits> [Stopping both because this part would be better with eltro and also because its 3 in the morning]
  93. [03:54] <Skeleton> (I bet I look like a giant tool)
  94. [03:55] <CommodoreJim> Well, we got cool stuff done today
  95. [03:55] <Moonside> I'm scared of what might happen next.

  97. [03:55] <flibbyjibbits> "You are a member of the guard, but I am not taking chances with this. This is quite a grave matter, you're aware."
  98. [03:55] <Moonside> And yeah, it was awesome.

  100. [03:55] <Skeleton> (The axe guy has to go to jail with us? Oh my god)
  101. [03:55] <CommodoreJim> I grumble and hang my head. "Yes, /sir/."
  102. [03:55] <Deathfish64> Hope we can do it again soon
  103. [03:55] <Skeleton> (Maybe he will protect me from getting gang-shanked)
  104. [03:55] <flibbyjibbits> anyways i gotta head off to bed now

  132. [04:01] <Moonside> I could've stopped him after the first attack!

  138. [04:02] <Deathfish64> The eagle was one of the best things I had available to summon, but got it sucked on its rolls
