     REMI DEROJA IS the human embodiment of a cat. The majority of the time he just wants to sleep and be left the fuck alone. He’s all for cuddling and affection the rest of the time. He’s always stating his opinion whether people want to hear it or not and always has something to say. He has a sharp tongue and is far too straightforward for his own good. He’s not the tallest person you’ll meet but he sure as hell acts like it. He can intimidate anyone with one look, his dark eyes and natural resting bitch face proving to be terrifying to most people. More often than not, he’s in a grouchy mood and is constantly sassing anyone within a hundred mile radius of him. It’s rare you’ll meet someone with the balls to tell him off. When he is told off, he immediately throws a comeback at the person but he will become extremely flustered.
     DESPITE HOW MANY times Remi has denied it, he is very much like a nagging mother. Having grown up in a predominately female household, he picked up on a lot of their habits and mannerisms. His sharp tongue  truthfully does little to hide his big heart though people tend to avoid mentioning that so that they don’t fall victim to la chancla. He cares a lot for the people he’s close to or around often enough to know. His way of showing this care though comes in the form of tough love, all harsh words and punches to the arm and elbows to the torso and shoes to the...everywhere. While he’s, for the most part, feared (mostly out of respect), he’ll always be the first to come to the aid of those he’s close to. He’s always quick to give advice to his teammates and make sure they get home at a decent hour as well as eat, going so far as to buy them meals and even drive them home to ensure they follow his “orders”.

trivial info -
     - Remi was born and raised in Hawaii with his mother’s side of the family. Despite having not been raised in the Philippines or a Hispanic-centric country, his parents held true to their roots and raised their kids in the ways they were raised and made sure their culture was apart of their everyday lives.
     - His mother is Hispanic-Hawaiian and his father is Filipino-Hispanic. The couple met when his father, Ernesto, came to Hawaii during college for one of those international courses.
     - Remi first got into playing hockey when he went to Canada during high school for a student exchange program. His temporary classmates coerced him into trying it out and he found that he absolutely loved it. After that, he convinced his parents to let him go back to Canada for good to continue playing and training in hockey.
     - Before Remi started playing hockey, surfing was his number one sport. He was practically raised in the water, as are most native Hawaiians.
     - He has eight younger siblings, six sisters and two brothers. It’s safe to say his house was never quiet as he grew up.
     - He found learning to ice skate fairly easy considering he was used to balancing his weight on a surfboard. This made his hockey experience a lot simpler.
     - He has two Norwegian forest cats named Riot and Nova. He also has an Alaskan malamute named Rocky and a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy named Karma.
     - Remi is a certified stationary addict and often buys new pens, stickers, notebooks, etc.
     - Despite the rough first impression he gives off, he is actually extremely intelligent and graduated college with an astrophysics major and a business minor.
     - He picked up on a lot of mannerisms from his predominantly female family.
     - Don’t let him fool you, he’s a huge nerd and not just when it comes to being smart. He knows something about everything, his knowledge most profound in movies and video games.
     - Remi hates his actual name and would probably murder someone if they dared to call him by it. He always introduces himself as “Remi” not “Arremi”. It sounds almost exactly like the word “army” and he dislikes it with a passion.
     - His favorite food is cupcakes (red velvet cupcakes to be exact) and he’d eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if he could.
     - Remi despises rock and metal music with every fiber of his being and refuses to let his teammates play it over the speakers during practice. He’s fine with EDM and trap and any other music but he refuses to listen to rock and metal music.
     - Remi is fluent in English and Spanish. He understands but speaks very little Filipino/Tagalog and Hawaiian. Having moved to Canada, he was required to take French courses in high school and is now semi-fluent in the language since he continued learning it.
     - He absolutely fucking loves thigh-high socks and it’s not uncommon that his teammates catch him with a pair on at his apartment. He’s shameless and doesn’t bother hiding them when he answers the door. He’s also worn crop tops but doesn’t really do so often since it’s usually freezing in Canada despite his well-working heater. You could say that his love for these things is thanks to his sisters and their incessant need to practice/style their make-up, hair, clothes, etc. He wasn’t very tall nor bulky as a teenager so it made it so much easier to be the model *cough* target *cough* of their clothes and all that stuff.

     - Maybe his coach/manager, etc. try to get him to diet and go so far as to hide his cupcakes. He ends up finding them and hides away eating the entire case while everyone is searching for him. He’s found stuffing his face with his favorite red velvet goodness.
