  1. The darkness of the campsite was the most inviting thing Svee had seen in a long time. It wasn't HIS campsite, of course, it belonged to someone else. The tent looked very soft and fancy; like the tent of a commander of an army or a wealthy merchant. However no lights were coming from the tent and no fire was on, making Svee sure that the rightful owners of the tent were fast asleep. That's what he wanted.
  2.
  3. Sneaking towards the tent, Svee had to pat his stomach. He was hungry and cold; but soon he would have food and perhaps coin pilfered from this tent in the woods he had found. Approaching forward, Svee squatted besides the entrance to the tent flap. He looked around the surrounding area just to make sure he was alone out here, before then swooping into the tent. It's just then when a bright light hit him in the eyes, and he nearly gasped.
  4.
  5. The inside of the tent was not dark, like it had appeared. The inside was full of a warm, soft light. The Kobold's eyes nearly popped out of his head when he was the size of the inside of the tent; it was much bigger on the inside then the outside. It looked more like a cabin in here, with soft cloth partitions between a few 'rooms' of this tent. Then, he turned his head and realized he was being stared at.
  6.
  7. Standing right there in the middle of the tent was a man wearing a gray robe, an open book in his hand, and a very confused and surprised expression. The kobold's surprise kept him glued there for a few seconds, before he began to reach for his dagger.
  8.
  9. Suddenly, the man in the robe raised his hand to the kobold. "Kneel." He said, the word striking the kobold like a blast of wind, the kobold felt his joints creak and bend; and he was soon enough kneeling before this man, frozen. He felt a deep tremor of fear run through him; this was no ordinary man! A magical user of some kind; the kobold was terrified.
  10.
  11. Strutting over to the Kobold and closing the book, the man gave the kobold a toothy grin. Svee felt the power radiating from him; and it was not a positive energy he felt. He could not muster any motion beyond light shivering, though inside he was trying desperately to get up and run away. The man raised his hand and went to touch the kobold, but Svee finally managed to squeak out something.
  12.
  13. "Don't! Please don't hurt Svee!" He said, the few words even felt exhausting to him. The man paused, before smiling and then touching Svee on the forehead; Svee felt his body fall back into darkness, and he felt nothing but falling. He felt as if he was falling away from his body, unable to get back, just falling. Then, he felt himself stop, now laying on a stone floor. Before him was a labyrinth of stone tunnels, and always within the darkness was some shape moving, some growl always forcing Svee to run and scream in terror. The Kobold was only dimly aware of his real body being picked up and moved around, before being put into a cave and left to simmer in his nightmares...
  14.
  15. Svee finally awoke, feeling water splash on his face and body, feeling hard metal beneath him. Flailing to get up, he felt his arm impact hard against some metal, and as he shook his head, he realized he was in a small suspended cage. Before him was the Wizard, a bucket of water in his hands, just emptied all over the Kobold's poor, cold little body. The Wizard was grinning.
  16.
  17. Svee felt anger at first, both for being awoken like that, as well as his imprisonment. But his rage soon turned to fear, this human had arcane powers beyond his feeble understanding or control, he was totally at his mercy. The human snapped his fingers, and a nearby chair slid itself under his rear, and so he sat, smiling at the kobold across him.
  18.
  19. "Do you know who I am, whelp?" The Wizard asked, his voice seemingly commanding and powerful, even without whatever witchcraft he used to control the kobold. Svee shook his head, he had no idea.
  20.
  21. "I am Lord Erabamus. You are currently in the basement of my black palace." He said, a pointed grin spreading on his face. The kobold felt his heart skip a beat as he heard those words; he was not very familiar with the practices of humans or magic users; but EVERYONE knew about Lord Erabamus, and EVERYONE knew to stay the hell away from him and his black palace! The kobold felt his knees shake, his little fingers curling against the bars of his cage, unable to control his fear.
  22.
  23. "I- I'm sorry, I didn't k-know!" The kobold said with a stammer, trying to save his life. The Wizard gave the kobold a look of pity; a condescending look. Erabamus just stood up and stood before the cage.
  24.
  25. "You will open yourself to me." The Wizard said in that commanding voice again. Svee had no idea what that meant, but he felt his body start to weaken, slip, his eyes fluttered, unable to focus- Suddenly, he saw himself from outside his body, a ghostly form. He was having an out of body experience. But as he looked to the Wizard, he realized the Wizard could SEE him in that form. That terrified him; he tried to fight back but found no way to do so in this form. He just saw the Wizard's hand come out and reach for him, his power suddenly washing over him. A symbol appeared on his ghostly form; for some reason when the Kobold saw it, he knew that the symbol represented Erabamus, it was a symbol that represented that man in every way. As it was sunk into his form, Svee knew he had been branded. His soul came back to his body, and he slowly shivered as he felt his body wake back up; from head to toe he felt as though his foot had been asleep; but that feeling was in all of him.
  26.
  27. Grinning at Svee, the Wizard spoke again. His words struck Svee in the heart.
  28.
  29. "You're mine now."
  30.
  31. Svee whimpered pathetically as he felt his fate was sealed, unable to do anything, unable to fight back against this man. The man leaned forward to Svee's cage and gave Svee a curiously raised eyebrow.
  32.
  33. "Do you know what most Wizards like me do with the souls of our victims? Perhaps bind them into an object to be a servant forever, forever losing the feelings of love, peace, pain and pleasure? Maybe sell you off to a demon for power; and the demon will enjoy himself while torturing you endlessly? Or perhaps cut out the middle man and just make you suffer for my own amusement?"
  34.
  35. Svee's knees knocked together as he heard what the Wizard said, he gulped. He would have pissed himself, but his body couldn't muster it now.
  36.
  37. "...But I am unlike those. In fact, you will come to enjoy your sentence eventually." He said. Svee couldn't quite put together what he had said, he simply looked up as the Wizard stood up, and opened the kobold's cage.
  38.
  39. "I wouldn't try running off, this place is a maze. You'll be lost before you find even a single window." The man informed the Kobold. Svee was just too surprsied at being let out of the cage, but he stepped out. He looked down and saw his ragged clothes, and he felt uncomfortable in them here; this place was chipped out of marble and stone. The opulence only increased as the Wizard led Svee out of the dungeon, Svee noticeably shivering as he looked at the walls and tables within the dungeon; seeing the awful, ominous things of black steel that were thankfully not used on him. Svee followed Erabamus with his head down in respect and submission. The halls of the Wizard's palace were wide, long red and gold carpets lead down the floors. Many rooms and curious geometry filled the palace, and the whole thing felt cold and devoid of any life, besides the Wizard and the kobold. Soon the two reached a bathroom, the Wizard then instructing the Kobold as to what to do.
  40.
  41. "Go ahead, shed your clothes and bath. When you are done, I will have some new clothing set out for you." The Wizard instructed. Svee bowed his head and entered the bathroom. Soon enough, he had stripped off his clothes, just thankful the Wizard was not watching him. Entering the hot water of the bath relaxed the kobold's nerves a bit, the bathroom was very luxurious and he was almost thankful just to be allowed to use one! As he finished his bath, he looked towards where his clothes were laid; he saw a red and gold loincloth. His old clothes were gone now. He put them on a bit shamefully, and blushed at how far up it cut; it rode on his hips and rear end. Coming out of the bathroom with a blush, his chest and legs exposed and bare, the Wizard outside gave a nod of approval.
