  1. Streaming:
  2.
  3. This is the biggest one for me this year. In late July, while I was away at ESA 2017, I got accepted as a Twitch partner. I was playing Smash with others at the time and I literally had to stop playing because I was shaking from how happy I was with the news. Since then I've gained about 1500 followers, sitting currently at 6509 as of writing this, and I've unlocked 16 emote slots for those that are subbed to me, sitting at 336 sub points right now! The growth of my channel since partner has been pretty dang crazy, but I want to shoot for more. Right now I'm basically streaming full time, since I'm not having to pay any living costs (thankfully) any more at home, so I'm going to do my best to grow my channel as much as I can going into 2018. Tentative goals are 10,000+ followers and just unlocking as many emote slots as I possibly can!

  5. Also on the topic of streaming, I've been having a lot more fun with casual games on stream than speedrunning lately. For the longest time I kept my channel speedrun-centric, but branching out now to more casual stuff too has been a blast, especially with the Humongous Entertainment games I've been playing lately! I have a huge casual games list written down on a google doc that I want to get through, ranging from a wide variety of games, so watch out for that! I'll release this list publicly once I get it ready to be public as well, but I'm not there yet. First thing I'm going to casual on stream when I come back from AGDQ is Undertale, and it will be blind! I'll announce when I'm doing this on Twitter and in my Discord. But going back to speedrunning...

  7. Speedrunning:
  8.
  9. I honestly really just want to run Super Mario 64 DS for a while. 80 Star is a lot of fun to grind and I started on learning 150 Star last night too! I'm excited for when I finally get to do runs of that category, not to mention the races that I've joined with the rest of the SM64DS community have been a lot of fun! I'd seriously recommend trying out this game as a speedrun if you're on the fence. Wii U VC is accessible and 80 Star is pretty straightforward to learn :>
  10.
  11. As for non-SM64DS plans, some time in 2018, I want to both stream Paper Mario 64 casually again, probably for the last time, and then learn Paper Mario All Cards. I've always loved the crap out of this run, and I've been watching runs of this game for about 4 years now thanks to Iateyourpie and others. I would really like to sink my teeth into this game and get a feel for it as a speedrun. Aside from that I want to route and run Spider Man Shattered Dimensions DS because HOLY FUCKING SHIT LOOK AT HOW COOL THIS TAS IS WHY ARE THERE ZERO RUNS OF THIS GAME??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwExBFYX_94&t=. I still have yet to even play the game, but just try and tell me a Metroidvania game with Spiderman web slinging mechanics doesn't sound awesome! If it controls just like this TAS, then that's going to be such an awesome run! Idk when I'll look into this game, but I plan to in 2018 some time.
  12.
  13. Beyond those games, I want to revisit a few games I haven't played in a bit. Like I still need to get at least sub 3:40 in Superstar Saga Glitchless (I've been on pace for 3:35 a few times but I keep getting hecked by Cackletta...). I only stopped because that game hurts my hands with the amount of mashing required in it :( I also want to relearn Kirby Super Star Ultra at some point and run that for the first time in 2 years, considering it's my 2nd favorite Kirby game now behind Planet Robobot and it's SUCH a fun run! Between all of this and the casual games I want to get through on stream, let's just say I don't have any shortage of content on my stream for a long time! Just hope to have people there to watch and appreciate what I'm doing :>

  15. Life:
  16.
  17. I've had a lot of ups and downs this year. I got out of my first relationship ever in mid-June for starters. I learned a lot about myself and in general from this experience and I'm honestly very happy I went through it in the first place. My goal for this next year is to move out of this house and get into a relationship with someone IRL instead of long distance. LDR just isn't for me it turns out, but hey now I know this and I'll avoid that in the future! Hopefully I won't be single for that much longer, but hey I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
  18.
  19. I was also threatened to be kicked out of my house by my parents back in late June. They gave me and my brother a contract which basically said "If you don't live your lives a certain way, then you're getting kicked out of the house. Also you're paying high amounts of rent now and it will only increase every month GOOD LUCK! I think this was mostly a ploy to get my brother's life back on track, which worked in the end. He yelled at Dota 2 all day and did nothing to get work or out of the house for well over a year. But hey it worked since now he has a job and is living with our grandpa, and our relationship has been the healthiest it's been... well ever! He also picked up speedrunning recently and runs a lot of PC games, mostly Enter The Gungeon right now at twitch.tv/teddyras check him out. Also I'm not paying rent at the moment, which I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO thankful for you have no idea.
  20.
  21. But yeah 2 main goals for 2018 are to move out of this house and also lose a bit more weight. I've been overweight since 3rd grade, so it would be cool to try and get... less overweight, if not completely there. All it takes is discipline and motivation, so hopefully I can do just that come 2018, but only time will tell.
  22.
  23. Smash 4:
  24.
  25. I'm still not the greatest player in the world, but I want to do my best to change that and get a lot better. It's hard to work around playing this competitively, full time streaming, and working other things into my routine like working out ideally, but I will do my dang best! If I can focus on eliminating my weaknesses and also just play more often in general in 2018, hopefully at some point I can make PR in SoCal, or whatever area I'm living in then. If not, that's alright too. I'm very grateful for everyone I've met and talked to through playing this game and I'm so glad I stuck to it for so long after going 0-2 at the old 2GG venue in Gardena with my Toon Link and Corrin for months hahaha. If I can work it into my schedule more, I want to try and attend more than one weekly per week as well. At the moment I take a day off from streaming every Monday for Mega Smash Mondays, unless I can't make it that day for whatever reason, but I'll see what I can do to make that work in 2018 I guess
  26.
  27. Conclusion:
  28.
  29. 2017 had a lot of ups and downs for me, but I'm very happy about everything I've experienced and been through this year at least! I've gotten a lot of my stuff back on track, but I could be a lot better. In general more recently I've developed a more healthy mindset and I've been happier and overall very thankful for the stream growth I've gotten recently. My current circumstances could be better, and I need to take better care of myself, but I'll do my best to correct both of those in 2018!
  30.
  31. Also while I'm here and since this pastebin is really long already, I won't be streaming today or tomorrow since I'll be in San Diego with friends for New Years! Every stream when I come back until I leave for AGDQ on the 6th will be 007 Agent Under Fire derust for my run of that game in AGDQ, except for the 5th, which will be the SM64DS weekly race at 12pm PST, which I'll then follow up with more 007 runs, and that will be my last stream before AGDQ!
  32.
  33. For now I'm going to go drive more than an hour to San Diego and have fun with friends. Be safe this New Years and have a good one everyone! <3 <3 <3
