  1. Multiverse Crisis MUSH - Application Form 4.0
  2. A. OOC INFORMATION
  3. 1a. Who are you?
  4.
  5. What is your name, or if you prefer, online alias? What is your age?
  6.
  7.
  8. 2a. Where did you come from?
  9.
  10. Where have you roleplayed before, and who did you play there? If you're new, how did you find out about us? If you play here, list all of your current characters. If you have played here before, but do not at present, list your prior characters here. If you are requesting a 7th or 8th alt slot with this application, say so here.
  11. An old, previously retired roleplayer who played on NWN servers and recently started up again with mushes. My previous characters and presently inactive is a Final Fantasy 10 Summoner from Final Kingdom and one abandoned ninja like pilot from a Gundam mush, neither have gotten much screen time.
  12. I heard about MCM through a friend of a friend of another friend.
  13.
  14.
  15. B. CHARACTER SUMMARY
  16.
  17. Your Profile/+Finger, +Advantages, and +Disadvantages are your face on the MUSH. They tell people who your character is, what they are capable of, and what their failings are. Please remove the examples/explanations below each of these sections. For example --> Name: Your character's name. 18 character limit, no special letters. <-- Should be trimmed down to --> Name: Link <--
  18.
  19.
  20. 1b. Profile
  21.
  22. Name: Noiela
  23.
  24. Faction: Union
  25.
  26. Function: Tactician
  27.
  28. Series: Fire Emblem: Awakening
  29.
  30. Rank: 6
  31.
  32. Quote: "We're not pawns of some scripted fate. I believe we're more. Much more...There's something between us all. Something that keeps us together...Like...invisible ties, connecting us."
  33.
  34. Profile: A mystery wrapped up in an enigma kept inside a conundrum clinches the rather taciturn strategist who has joined the Union, having discovered the multiverse and its rather diverse inhabitants entirely by accident, when fleeing from her homeland where she was revered as the human host for a dark dragon deity known as Grima. Thankfully few outside Plegia would know about this rather grim(a) destiny and she is not quick to mention it. Within the Union she has fast settled into a role of advisor.
  35. Despite being trained in both the use of tomes and bladed weaponry, it is outside direct combat where Noiela displays real acumen; she bears an unerring sense when it comes to appraising any conflict and what is the most effective course of action- all executed with minimal casualties.
  36.
  37. 2b. Character Type
  38.
  39. What kind of character are you applying for? Categories are FCs (Canon Characters), OFCs (AU takes on canon characters), and OCs (Original Characters).
  40.
  41. OFC
  42.
  43.
  44. 3b. Advantages
  45.
  46. This is a lengthy section divided into four categories: POWERS, SKILLS, ASSETS, and NPCs. If your character doesn't have an advantage in a specific category, just write down None or N/A. Some Advantages may fit multiple categories, in which case you may choose what category to put the advantage in. Wizards or other characters with many minor sub-powers aren't expected to list EVERY spell, but shouldn't have things like Wish, Teleportation, or Resurrection without listing them.
  47.
  48.
  49. 3b-1. Advantages: Powers
  50.
  51. Tactical Genius- Though not an actual power as commonly depicted, the ability Noiela holds to sense patterns in others footwork, their strengths and weaknesses plus a whole host of other little factors about her environment borders on a prescience one might expect a seer to wield. Although this so named power does not ensure victory, it essentially boils down to owning the manual on ones foes combined with an encyclopaedic knowledge of various strategic moves to create a solid fighting unit.
  52.
  53. Profane Blood- The corrupting influence of Grima exists within Noiela, dormant yet ready to make its appearance when called forth. Its presence minor, the heritage of the Fell dragon can be felt in a number of ways as it theoretically would grant the host the ability to utilise artifacts responsive to the darker powers. At present, it provides Noiela use of dark based magic. Provided a handy tome.
  54. 3b-2. Advantages: Skills
  55.
  56. List your character's SKILLS. Skills are exactly what they sound like. Things that your character has been taught to do, or which they learned to do themselves.
  57.
  58. The Art of Swordplay- Taught use of the most commonly coveted weapon of noble and wandering mercenary alike, Noiela is proficient enough to hold her own when crossing blades with the enemy. Her personal style tends towards a flowing, acrobatic flurry to leave her opponent breathless. If needed, permanently. Needless to say, she is not very talented when put up against real swordmasters, as her real strength lies in magic with melee a last resort.
  59.
  60. Wizardly Reading- Technically, hypothetically able to channel magic like any other mage in the wide reaching mishmash of universes, Noiela has been tutored in specifically to use tomes as her foci and can use them to cast a number of elementally based spells and little else. However, her ability to manipulate the higher powers that govern reality does mean she can pick up and use items such as scrolls, wands and other trinkets that require magical affinity.
  61.
  62. 3b-3. Advantages: Assets
  63.
  64. List your character's ASSETS. Assets can be their Batcave, Stark Enterprises, their Evil Empire, etc. This can sometimes overlap a bit with NPCs. You aren't expected to list minor assets like owning a home, but if your character's assets are a major part of their advantages, they should definitely be here.
  65.
  66. Coat of Many Pockets- Stitched and dyed in the style of Plegia, this hooded coat Noiela favours is amazingly, inexplicably capable of surviving gouts of flesh charring flame, bone crushing collisions and even heavy rain with minor damage. Also, it has a number of inner pockets, allowing the wearer to carry up several healing potions at once.
  67.
  68.
  69. 3b-4. Advantages: NPCs
  70.
  71. List your character's NPCs, along with a summary of what they can do and the Power Level you would like them to have. This is a bit more specialized, and is meant for characters with named subordinates from their own series, or characters like pokemon trainers.
  72.
  73.
  74. None
  75.
  76.
  77. 4b. Disadvantages
  78.
  79. Excepting that these are not divided into sub-categories, these are identical to Advantages and represent a character's failings and weaknesses. We would like to see a minimum of three solid Disadvantages, with at least one of them being a deficiency in your character's personality.
  80.
  81.
  82.
  83.
  84. No Person Left Behind- Symptomatic of heroes and obsessed over in the extreme by Noiela is her conviction that no one is to die under her command. She will eagerly run herself ragged thinking and re analysing the battlefield if there is the slightest chance she may spare a life. Such a desire can be desirable, but as it stands such a fixation may arguably be what bars her from true tactical glory. It might even cost her lives she held so precious.
  85.
  86. Dark Heritage- Given Noiela is the only suitable host for a giant, murderous dragon considered a deity, her position is perilous both within her own universe and outside; anyone willing to summon forth Grima itself likely knows beforehand that its awakening sentences the vessel to a living death. With such a fate hanging heavy on her shoulders, Noiela is a ticking time bomb.

  90.
  91.
  92.
  93.
  94. 5b. Themelisting
  95.
  96. If a +themelisting does not already exist for your character, you will have to write one yourself. This should be a concise description of the setting from which the character comes, and if it is a modified/non-canon theme it should usually explain how it diverges from the original.
  97.
  98.
  99. C. CHARACTER INFORMATION
  100. 1c. Personality
  101.
  102. Describe your character's personality, in 500 words or more. Give an overview of their motivations, hopes, fears, failings. Why are they in the faction they're in, and why would people enjoy RP with this character? Show that you understand how your character acts, and why. If you give us too little, you'll be asked for more. (Need help? Take a look at Nathan Hall's Personality Guide.)
  103.
  104.
  105.
  106.
  107. Reflective, eager to learn. Vociferous reader. Tactical mastermind. Many words have been used to describe Noiela, several of them unprintable in respectable newspapers. Her most defining and iconic depiction is that of the resolute general, marshalling her troops, master of all she surveys. Her motivations are relatively straightforward and differ little from the majority-she looks to protect the people she deems family; their companionship a surrogacy for her own lacking childhood and is particularly vicious when it comes to defending mother and child. Anyone daring to spoil harmony by sowing dissent is on her list; yet there lies a relative amount of tolerance. Noiela rarely seeks a fight unless there are few other viable options and definitely prefer to play peacemaker over warmonger.
  108.
  109.
  110.
  111.
  112. When it comes to dreams, they tie closely into the continued theme of family; what it means to have one. For her, to belong and earn new memories to replace a lost childhood is pivotal to understanding the ultimately very fallible person behind such estimable titles, talents and heritage. Thus, it is not surprising she gravities towards the Union, seeing them as far more in line with her moral view than ruthless Confederate or any other organisation. An easy exploit she knows and will attempt to disguise by presenting a stoic front, especially when it comes to those she holds close.
  113.
  114.
  115.
  116.
  117.
  118. Each battle is personal, an emotional and physical investment. Noiela lives to test herself ever further when it comes to strategy, leisure hours spent busily engaged in relevant books or penning in her interminable scrawl information that might be useful. Indeed, it can be easily argued the tactician never rests on her laurels nor takes off the mantle of overseer fully. In times of war she is prone to a humourless demeanour, though occasionally soldiers under her command may discern a subtle shift towards less than mature behaviour.
  119.
  120.
  121.
  122.
  123. Overall, she is one of Unions most active members who acts far older than her tender years, anxious to ensure no one under her jurisdiction is left empty handed when it comes to their own goals. Self neglect is routine, many nights Noiela will simply forego sleep in concerted effort to meet unrealistic standards. By achieving victory despite the odds, she subconsciously imagines her own destiny may possibly be averted.
  124.
  125. 2c. Background
  126.
  127. Give us a short and concise overview of your character's background. More thorough backgrounds are expected of non-canon takes on characters, high-powered original characters, and some other special cases. Otherwise, keep this shorter than your personality section. (Need help? Take a look at our sample applications at News Applications/Sample.)
  128.
  129.
  130.
  131.
  132.
  133. Aeons ago the race of dragons flourished, the most powerful of them the Earth and Divine. What civilisation existed during the aforementioned period is lost to memory; only the descendants of those who chose to assume human form and seal their power within dragonstones remain. The stories known to scholars simply mention a war between the Fell dragon and Divine that resulted in the creation of the Falchion-a divine sword capable of sealing away the corrupted soul of the last direct descendent of the Earth dragons. However, Grimas influence did not terminate with his death and upon his bones was built a cult empire to worship the so named true Divine dragon, protector of humankind. Amongst the first deluded followers rose those who had partaken of a blood bond with the beast and sought in secret to strengthen their bloodline and create a suitable host for his resurrection.
  134.
  135.
  136.
  137.
  138. The result was Validar, devoted utterly to his masters cause. A twisted sorcerer deeply involved in the dark arts, he soon realised a strong taint was not enough to provide a vessel. Dismayed, it was his tireless search that led him to discover Noielas mother, who possessed the Heart of Grima itself. From their union, two children were born. One discarded, the other embraced.
  139.
  140.
  141.
  142.
  143.
  144. It was a less than ideal childhood, blighted early on by a father that saw his offspring as little more than a shell Grima would occupy once the vessel had grown into its power and later when her mother defected to spare her daughter, a life endlessly threatened by possible discovery. Still, such privilege came with definite benefits for a mind insatiable for knowledge- Validar ensured Noielas magical aptitude was refined by tutelage into applicable skill, nor would the avatar for the Fell dragon be hampered when it came to directing others, a lesson her mother took upon herself to teach, providing the sole bright spot in an otherwise gloomy existence.
  145.
  146.
  147.
  148.
  149. So confident was Validar, he never suspected until afterwards they plotted to run and appeal for asylum. Had been for many months, the exact time spent hunting both to little avail. Even after her mothers death from an infected wound, did Noiela cease to run far as she could until she reached Ylisse. Instead, she discovered the Gate and after an impromptu crash course in politics culminating in a fight where her tactical training proved useful was granted a place within the Union with due recognition to her skill at directing others. She also provides training and general advice to any fresh faced recruit who requires the extra assistance when time permits it.

  158. 3c. Power Level
  159.
  160. Put your desired Power Level (see Power Levels) range here, and justify it to us.
  161.
  162.
  163.
  164. 28-30
  165.
  166.
  167.
  168. Since the character is relatively strong in terms of being able to bolster allies and impede enemies, the lower than 32 can be accounted for due to the fact the protagonist is starting out with basic equipment and knowledge-a bronze sword, thunder tome and basic healing potions.
  169.
  170.
  171. 4c. Sample Pose
  172.
  173. Include a sample pose here, if you like. This field is mandatory for Guests, optional for standing/returning players. If you include a sample pose, it should be at least 150 characters long, should include both action and dialogue, and should not focus on how strong your character is. Do a mini-scene with somebody if you want! Staff may occasionally request a sample pose during the revisions process (if there is one), so it never hurts to put one in anyway.
  174.
  175.
  176.
  177.
  178. The young man was sweating profusely, enough to lend a wet sheen to his cheeks and brow. He wore the standard regulation uniform, like its wearer also beginning to show signs of acute moisture as his guide led him down nondescript hallways until they reached the equally unremarkable training room. In fact, a critical eye might label it shabby. Either way, it was there he was deposited for pickup by a volunteer. One of the special operatives, beyond that little snippet he knew precious few facts.
  179.
  180. Several palm gouged minutes later, his ears caught the telltale creak of a door. Halting mid pace, he spun round to espy a rather short, hooded figure. Pale and thin, but appearances were deceiving. Moreso when she-for it transpired the contact was female, lowered her hood to grant him an upward flick of the mouth.
  181.
  182. "Hello, Master...was it Renyard?" Although she was by all accounts relatively typical insofar as the formula of two eyes, one nose and mouth went the golden flecked eyes and pallid mint coloured hair added a slight additional interest.
  183.
  184.
  185.
  186.
  187. "Excuse me...you are him? It would hardly be unprecedented, for the personnel to have sent the file of another. Inevitable in such a sprawling organisation." In her mellifluous tones, her accent spoke of puzzlement as characterised by the angled furrow of her brow. He promptly snapped to attention, stammer painfully intruding on a basic affirmative.
  188.
  189.
  190. "Y...Y...Yes." A hard gulp. "Yes ma'am...sir." Her mouth again curved, settling back into straight lines with her next action, clipboard at the ready and pen clicked.
  191.
  192. "At ease? Anyway, I'd like to assess you." Adding quietly, "Do not feel intimidated. This is more an informal run through, since much as the Union likes to emblazon us so named elites with medals to show our favoured status, you make up the bulk of the defenders. You and others like you-besides, have you ever tried to organise a bunch of people whose collective egos could rival a dragons? I warrant we even host a few of them in our ranks." A gloved hand motions towards the sparring circle and he notes with complete, sincere detachment the whitened scars lining her knuckles. "We will begin the first simulation."
  193.
  194.
  195.
  196.
  197. For Dontelle Renyard, the day has only just begun.
  198. 5c. Miscellaneous
  199.
  200. This is just a miscellaneous field. If you have any notes or special requests (potential defection notices, for example), this is the place to put them.
