  3. Q1: How To Use My CODEX SaveGames After Using The Online.Fix ?
  4. A1(Thx To Trajche Manev):
  5. 1- Open the REVOLT.ini which is located in: "Dark Souls III \ Game"
  6. 2- In the section "Steam User ID", you will find a line like this:
  7. "# SteamUserID = 1638"
  8. Now delete the "#" so that the line is like: "SteamUserID = 1638"
  9. Exit the file and save the changes.
  10. 3- Open the game and choose "Continue".
  11. 4- When the game finishes loading and you can see your character, minimize the game "Alt + Enter"
  12. And then open REVOLT.INI again and type "#" back where it was deleted in step 2
  13. Then the line will look like this: "# SteamUserID = 1638" then save it again and quit.
  14. 5 - Go back to your game and open the options menu "Press ESC" and then exit to the main menu.
  15. 6- Now copy the save file from the CODEX save folder, for example:
  16. "C: \ Users \ belbo \ AppData \ Roaming \ DarkSoulsIII \ 0110000100000666"
  17. To save REVOLT folder:
  18. "C: \ Users \ belbo \ AppData \ Roaming \ DarkSoulsIII \ 01100001052af830"
  19. 7- You are ready to go online with your old CODEX save file

  56. Q6: Why am I getting "RVTFiX.nfo was either deleted or not put in directory. Application will terminate now."?
  57. A6: You have to extract all files from the steamworks fix.
  58. Yes, that even includes the .nfo file and the .url file!

  61. A7: Run The Game As Admin Or Try another compatibility mode, for example "Windows Vista".

  68. A9: Unfortunately the password system does not filter out people during invastions via Red Eye Orbs, thus it is almost impossible to invade people using

  72. A10: Yes, You Can See Them But Can't Play With Them, Why? Because You Aren't Really Logged To DarkSouls Server Like Them, You Are Logged To "Gocco of war demo" Server :)

  74. Q11: The game keeps randomly crashing for no reason.
  75. A11: Try turning your "Lighting" to Low.

  82. 1- Click on Steam and click on the "Settings" button. Click on the "In-Game Settings" tab.
  83. 2- Uncheck the box next to "Enable Steam Community In-Game" and click OK.

  98. Q15: For those getting the "Something failed" error. Turns out, most versions available of the RVTFix are still configured to launch with an older app_id
  99. A16:
  100. 1) Go to the game folder and open the "REVOLT" INI file with notepad. Under "[Steam]" edit the value for AppID to "427720". And Key to "lRFQqmnx2rGr5WARoeJh7w=="
  101. It should look something like this:

  104. # Application ID, must be set

  106. AppId = 427720
  107. Key = lRFQqmnx2rGr5WARoeJh7w==

  109. Save and close.
  110. 2) Create a new text file and name it "steam_appid". In there write only the number "427720" (Without the "", obviously). Save and close.
  111. 3) Copy the newly created steam_appid file to the game folder. And replace the existing one.
  112. That's it. Provided you've updated the game properly, you should be able to play it.

  114. Q16: Any Known Problems While using the latest version with RVTFix to play online ?
  115. A16: Yes, Here You Go:
  116. - Legit players will try to invade, but will fail and for a long period of time make it impossible to freely travel due to fog walls;
  117. - Legit players will try to invade, but will fail and for a long period of time make it impossible to use bonfires (travel between bonfires and Estus Flask refills won't be available);
  118. - Legit players will try to invade, but will be failing for a long period of time, which makes it impossible to go back to the main menu properly;
  119. - It is almost impossible to invade due to legit players interfering;
  120. - Most people do not use the latest version for online play unless there's no other choice.

  122. Q17: Is there any way to fix the "button sticking" bug that occurs randomly?
  123. A17: Defragmentation of game data should help with this problem and almost completely eliminate this bug. Also, it should make the game run smoother. It is recommended to use Wincontig(http://wincontig.mdtzone.it/en/) to do this, because with that program you'll be able to defrag separate folders, instead of the whole hard drive.

  125. Q18: Characters and monsters don't have any animations while I'm summoned or when someone invades, how can I fix this?
  126. A18: Try restarting the game. Hitting enemies sometimes fixes this problem as well.

  128. Q19: Is there anything I can do to deal with crashes?
  129. A19:Possible solutions:
  130. ◦Try playing as a Knight (yeah, I know it's sounds absurd, but it helps some people);
  131. ◦Try lowering Lightning and Shadow quality to minimum;
  132. ◦Make sure you have at least 3 Gb of Allocated Memory on your hard drive;
  133. ◦Apparently cloth physics and face animations near bonfires can cause crashes.

  135. Q20: What's the purpose of downloading "Gocco of War" demo?
  136. A20: It Not Downloading All You Have To Do Is To Start The Download For A Minute Then Stop It :D (AND YOU HAVE TO DO THIS ONLY ONCE)
  137. Why ?
  138. - Will The Online.Fixes tricks the (real game server on steam), tricks it to another game server (in this case it's GOW), But This Game Online Triggers A Check For The Game If It Really Exists On Steam(It Thinks it's GOW not DS3) So To Prevent the check from failing you just need to download the game for a minute(which allows the appminfist to download :D )

  153. This Is Because The Update Added Some DLC Files & The Crack "Unlocks" The DLC
  154. So When The Upcoming "Last" DLC Files Gets Downloaded. The DLC Will Just Work "With Out Further Modification On The Crack"
