- As you probably know, the Pokemon Speedruns marathon is happening this weekend (August 13-16). I won't be streaming this weekend, but you can find me over on http://www.twitch.tv/pokemonspeedrunstv because I'll be there watching every run I can. I'm also running two games during the marathon, Pokemon Blue NSC (August 15, 10:15pm EST) and Pokemon Yellow Glitchless (August 16, 6:35am EST).
- After the marathon, I'm going to try to hold myself to a stream schedule for the first time. Here's how the schedule will look:
- Monday-Thursday: 7-10pm EST
- Friday: 7-10pm EST, possibly longer if I'm not tired
- Saturday-Sunday: 5-10pm EST, possibly longer
- Note that changes to the schedule due to other plans will be announced on Twitter, hopefully at least a day in advance, but I can't really guarantee anything.
- This gets me a minimum of 25 hours per week, with 3 hours per night, which is enough time to finish a full run of Yellow Glitchless, and even possibly do a longer run like Battle Network. I'm also up for doing races any Monday-Thursday night since there's not a lot of time to do serious resets in Pokemon.
- Games I will be running starting next week:
- - Pokemon Yellow Any% Glitchless (1:56 or better)
- - Pokemon Blue NSC (yolo for WR maybe)
- - Pokemon FireRed Any% (once I learn it)
- - Animorphs (hopefully Keizaron teaches me)
- - Two more mystery speedgames that I need to learn first
- - Touhou practice and 1cc attempts (whichever game wins http://strawpoll.me/5195608 )
- - osu! Taiko (on nights I don't feel like speedrunning)
- There won't really be a schedule for which nights I stream which games, but my main focus will be Yellow while my execution is still at a high level. After I get 1:56 in Yellow I will probably move on to FireRed as my main Pokemon game until I feel comfortable with it. Touhou and Taiko streams will be scattered throughout the week, and I'll probably dedicate some time on the weekends to those games as well.
