- SGDQ this year was the best week(or in my case, best 2 days)of my life. The main reason was because I got a run in for the first time(finally). While it was a meme game and not any of my actual speedgames, that was still pretty neat. The second reason is I was a ton more social then I was last year. I met up with several people and took selfies with several other people. It's because of that social interaction that I felt a lot more involved. The social interaction thing might not seem like a big deal, but I was shy as heck at SGDQ 2016 and I'm a shy person in general,so that social interaction boosted my confidence. The 3rd reason was the hype on the last day. This is to be expected with the runs on the last day of a GDQ,but the run that topped all of the runs on that last day was Orcastraw's run of Breath of the Wild. I didn't know what to expect at all since I had never seen a run of BotW prior to the run. The fling trick that was shown off was awesome and honestly way better than the movement tech I found in The Maitre D. The possibility of Orca dying in the big boss rush of 4 bosses and the last boss after that created one of the more tense moments in the whole marathon. Portal 2 being met in a such a short time with the big amount it had going for it($200,000)was incredible. I couldn't stay up for Earthbound, but I will get around to watching that run. Overall, the marathon had an amazing schedule and very good lineup. This experience at SGDQ reminded me why I love gaming.

- So now that SGDQ is over, what exactly will I be doing?
- I'll be picking up Fatal Frame 2 as my next survival horror speedrun. I started taking notes for the NG Easy/Normal category when I got home, and when I finish the notes I will try a run. I will learn Fatal Frame 4 as well with the NG+ Easy category, but that's on hold until I get my laptop back and reinstall things.
- I'll(attempt to)learn Breath of the Wild Any% and maybe the other categories. The run at SGDQ was so entertaining I knew I would enjoy doing it, regardless of difficulty with the endgame boss rush. The main deficit I face is not using Amiibo, but that shouldn't be too bad.
- Continue improving my current speedruns. Pearl Any% still needs some work because I want 2nd place and my last PB was only 25 seconds off Werster/Gymfreak's time. I want to complete my first runs in both Pearl Glitchless and Platinum Glitchless and get decent times in those runs. Outlast 100% sub 40 without loads(eventually).
