Sayo: ...... I don't have a clue where to start or even who to ask. I might need to recruit someone else to help, but still......
Aya: Uwu~ I don't have a clue what any of this means~
Aya: Imperfective,continuative,predicative,attributive,perfective and imperative classical form of i-adjective are conjugated like "Ku,Ku,Shi,Ki,Kere" and......Uwu......The more I stare at it the more it's starting to look like a spell to summon Satan himself......

Aya: It's suppose to be Japanese but it's like a whole other language, I didn't have a clue what any of it meant! I was toughing it out and getting nowhere
Aya: But I'd be able to enjoy studying it with a 100 famous poems tournament!
Sayo: That's what the teacher said their goal was
Sayo: It's just that, there are lots of students who are in the same boat as you so I'm not sure how I should make the tournament more exciting.....
Aya: I know! Hey Sayo-chan, could you let me help prepare the tournament?
Sayo: I don't mind but.....Why are you even mentioning it?
Aya: I don't just want to participate in it. I think I'll become more familiar and be able to have fun understanding classical literature by helping you prepare for it!

[Synopsis: Aya is helping Sayo out with her 100 famous poems tournament. But first she wants to experience the 100 famous poems card game for herself....]

Sayo: But do you think we'll be able to find someone to join us that easily?
Aya: It'll be fine! I'm sure it'll all work out somehow or another! Hmm, who looks like they're begging to be invited......
Aya: Ah! Perfect timing! O-i, Chisato-chan!
Chisato: Oh my, Aya-chan. And Sayo-chan. What's the matter?
Aya: Hey, Chisato-chan, Want to play 100 famous poems with us right now!?
Chisato: Another abrupt invitation. Sorry but I'm heading off to work
Aya: Ah, oh yeah. You did say photo shoot scheduled for today didn't you! That's a shame
Chisato: Sorry about that. I would have loved to participate if I had the time, but you know
Chisato: .....More importantly Aya-chan. Have you gotten your nose stuck in something weird again?
Aya: Eek, Well......Ah, ahaha......But it's not something weird this time!
Sayo: Excuse me, I was the one who her roped her into this

Sayo: So that just means you have quick reflexes doesn't it. I get the feeling you're playing 100 famous poems the wrong way
Kanon: Ahaha...... But it's not like she's cheating or anything, so maybe we shouldn't sweat the small stuff?
Aya: Yeah! Let's keep doing what we're doing!

[Chapter 2: I want everyone to have fun]
[Synopsis: Aya and the girls are experiencing a game of 100 famous poems, they then start thinking about the specifics of the tournament]

[Hanasakigawa girls school: Student council room]

Hagumi: Wait, it's that time already? I gotta go home and tend the shop!
Hagumi: Aya-senpai, you better invite me next time you play! Well then, bye-bye!
Aya: Yeah! See you later Hagumi-chan!
Aya: ......Haa. I'm glad she enjoyed herself and all but she wiped the floor with me~
Kanon: Hagumi-chan's reflexes where amazing where they. When I was playing she snatched the cards right out from under my nose
Aya: Yeah, but don't give up! We'll have to whip her butt her next time!
Kanon: Fufu, yeah. let's whip her butt
Sayo: Alright, so it looks like we've fulfilled our goal by confirming how enjoyable the game actually is
Sayo: So let's pack up the games for now. Now we'll have to decide on the specifics of the tournament
Aya: The specifics. I guess....... The first thing we have to decide upon is when we're holding it isn't it?
Kanon: Yeah. and we'll need to decide on the venue beforehand
Sayo: You're right about that. I think we'll first need a have a detailed plan of the "When" "Where" and "What should we do"
Sayo: The main goal is of it is familiarise everyone with classical literature so we'll have to follow the class's curriculum. Therefore I think we should have everything ready by no later than the end of this month
Sayo: As for the location...... This is a spur of the moment thing so we shouldn't need a huge venue. Borrowing a classroom somewhere should be more than enough shouldn't it
Sayo: Next would be putting up posters around the school and soliciting participants.....
Aya/Kanon: ......
Sayo: What's the matter with you two?
Kanon: No, it's nothing! I just don't usually have conversation where everything is so focused like that, it was a shock
Aya: Same here! We were just thinking how amazing you are!
Aya: Even if you don't plan on it conversations end up getting derailed don't they

Aya: I totally get it! Like even at our last Pasupare meeting......

Sayo: I get where you're coming from but we don't have much time left. Let's have a nice long chit chat later

Aya: Huh? But, you've already wrapped everything up with what you said
Sayo: I still have something I want to ask you two before we're fully finished. I want to hear your opinions from the perspective of a participating student
Aya: Hnn......What would be interesting......From the perspective as a participant.....
Aya: .....I guess "Interest in participating"
Sayo: And by that you mean?
Aya: Cause this tournament was originally set up because of the teacher's desire to get people to fall in love with classical literature wasn't it?
Aya: In other words, I think I would want people to participate because they're bad at classical literature like myself......
Kanon: Ah......Oh yeah. Because people who don't like classical literature won't have any desire to participate will they?
Aya: Yeah, I think if I saw a poster for it I'd just take one look and think "hell no" because I'm not good at it
Sayo: Well then, how about we make it mandatory that the participants have failing grades in classical literature?
Aya: I'd throw the poster right into the trash if you did that~!
Sayo: You may be right about that but besides, there's no point in holding this tournament if nobody enters so what's the worst that could happen?
Aya: That's exactly why I think we should hold a tournament that even people who suck at classical literature will find "fun"!
Sayo: .......! You're right.......About that.....
Aya: I was thinking about this while I was playing. Even if you don't know what the 100 famous poems mean you can still make it a game where you take the cards by memorising the poems
Aya: There's probably loads of people like myself who are bad at classical literature aren't there?
Aya: So, I think the most important thing we should do is make them enjoy the content and meaning of the poems!
Sayo: ......You have a point there. But if we do that then won't you have to study all the poems beforehand?
Aya: I know right~. It's pretty tough isn't it~
Sayo: You need the knowledge to fully enjoy it but in order to gain that knowledge you first need to find it enjoyable. that's quite the contradiction isn't it
Aya: But, I'm sure there is a way to casually get people interested in the content......!

Kanon: Hmm......How about guidebook?
Sayo: Guidebook?
Aya: Ah......!
Aya: Yeah, a guidebook! Why didn't I think of that!
Aya: I'm sure that'll work! Let's make one! A "100 famous poems guidebook"!!!

[Chapter 3: Making another ・ guidebook]
[Synopsis: Aya and the girls decide to make a "100 famous poems guidebook". What kind of ideas will everyone contribute?]

[Hanasakigawa girls school: Student council room]

Sayo: "Cherry blossom viewing guidebook"?
Aya: Yeah! We made one a while ago when we organised a flower viewing party!
Kanon: We had like an introduction of poems about cherry blossoms and their composers and we filled the rest with all of the other things we researched
Kanon: The girls who came with us were Maya-chan, Lisa-chan and Ran-chan and even Ran-chan loved the guidebook
Aya: Yeah yeah! So I think something like that guidebook will work this time as well to casually get people interested in the 100 famous poems!
Sayo: And this time you'll be using the guidebook to introduce people to poetry
Sayo: You can casually introduce them to the content and on top of that it will function as a notification for the event, I think it's a wonderful idea
Kanon: Really? That's a relief
Aya: Alight, let's hurry up and get planning on making those guidebooks! So we can make an even more powered up version of the flower viewing guidebook!
Kanon: Yeah! Let's do our best!

Aya: Hnn. Do you think this is enough content for the guidebook?
Sayo: A summery of the poems, a simple profile of the composers and an introduction to manga and movies featuring the 100 famous poems......
Kanon: I want to add what Aya-chan brought up "Modern translations of classic poems"
Sayo: Modern translations? Are the explanations different from the actual poem?
Aya: I'd love it if the poems were simplified and easier to understand. The explanations are full of difficult words so it just makes my head spin even more
Sayo: Does it now?
Kanon: Hnn......Take this modern translation of a poem, for example, hmm......
Kanon: "The hut overlooking the autumn rice fields thatching is so crude my sleeves are getting soaked"
Sayo: " The roof to the hut besides the autumn rice fields has been roughly thatched together and is full of gaps. Because of those gaps the condensation from the nightly fog is starting to drip through and my sleeves are getting wet"
Sayo: I think that would be the gist of it
Aya: Yeah exactly! It's even written like that in the book I read!
Aya: But isn't that kinda hard to understand? Why can't you simply put, There's a draft in here, I'm freezing my butt off~.....?
Sayo: That's a very loose interpretation
Kanon: Not just modern interpretations, We might be able to make it even easier to understand If we give examples based on our own experiences
Aya: Yeah! That!
Aya: For example if it was rewritten today, hmm......
Aya: Something like......"The prefab hut I was waiting in the other day while I was on standby to be photographed had gaps between the door and window frame, the wind was whistling right on in, I was freezing my butt off~!?
Kanon: Fufu, I can picture you shivering your butt off
Sayo: That's a relatable and easy to imagine example isn't it. But I feel like the content...... Is a bit off the mark though
Aya: Eh!? You think?
Sayo: Ah, no. It's not wrong enough to worry about
Sayo: Poems have a lot of interpretations so I don't think the interpretation you just gave is in the slightest bit wrong
Aya: I see, that's a relief~!
Kanon: But adding examples like that to the other 100 famous poems sounds pretty tough doesn't it
Aya: Then how about we, hnn..... Pick out a few poems to give examples to like the one I just did and for the rest we'll write a short sentence with our impressions on it?
Kanon: Sounds great! And I think that if we add a simple illustration to the ones with just our thoughts on they won't seem so empty

[Synopsis: Aya and the girls get started on creating their guidebook. To compensate for the amount of work needed Sayo takes a certain action]

Sayo: This, and this. And I'll need all of those ones. And are there any other useful books and resources I need......
Rinko: Good work.......Hikawa-san. Are you looking for......References on......The 100 famous poems?
Sayo: Yeah. I was looking for the easiest to understand references I could find but there's a lot more than I expected so it's taking a while
Rinko: There's quite a lot of book collections regarding the...... 100 famous poems so.....Hmm, is......There anything I can do to help......?
Sayo: I'm alright. I can handle this on my own......
Sayo: (That's right. I could ask for Shirokane-san's help with that......as well while I'm here.....)

Aya: Just understanding the meaning of the poems is a pain in the butt, I'm not making as much progress as I hoped

Sayo: Both of your ideas were wonderful. But it's clear that there isn't enough manpower for this amount of work
Sayo: At the rate we were going your guidebook won't be finished in time. so I did everything I should be doing to prevent that from happening
