  11.
  12. [Opening: Orchestra of sighs]
  13. [Synopsis: Sayo is in the library concerned about something. And right next to her is Aya who is also at her wits end.....? ]
  14.
  15. [Hanasakigawa girls school: Library]
  16.
  17. Sayo: .......This is a real pickle
  18. Sayo: ...... I don't have a clue where to start or even who to ask. I might need to recruit someone else to help, but still......
  19. Aya: Uwu~ I don't have a clue what any of this means~
  20. Aya: Imperfective, continuative, predicative, attributive, perfective and imperative classical form of i-adjective are conjugated like "Ku,Ku,Shi,Ki,Kere" and......Uwu......The more I stare at it the more it's starting to look like a spell to summon Satan himself......
  21. Aya/Sayo: *Sigh*......What am I gonna do~ *Sigh*.......What should I do
  22. Sayo: ............Huh?
  23. Aya: Ah, Sayo-chan!
  24. Sayo: Maruyama-san. It's rare for you to be in the library after school isn' it
  25. Aya: I thought I better do a bit of studying so I came here to borrow some study materials
  26. Aya: What about you? You look like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders
  27. Sayo: Yeah, actually---
  28.
  29. [1 hour ago]
  30.
  31. [Hanasakigawa girls school: Student council room]
  32.
  33. Rinko: A 100 famous poems...... Tournament?
  34. Japanese language teacher: Yeah. Maybe we could hold one as part of our classical literature classes?
  35. Japanese language teacher: To tell the truth, everyone's classical literature grades are god awful. But just telling them to get better grades would be like talking to a brick wall wouldn't it?
  36. Sayo: So you're starting out by trying to get them familiar with classical literature?
  37. Rinko: If so you'll need...... A student who is already...... Proficient in classical literature to spearhead it......
  38. Rinko: Alright then. The student council will......Host a 100 famous poems......Tournament......!
  39. Japanese language teacher: Really? Thanks! Well then, I'll leave all the hard work up to you
  40. Rinko: Sure......!
  41. Sayo: ......You sure about this? You caved in faster than a cheap umbrella
  42. Rinko: I'm sure. And I'm sure all the other student council members......Will be in favour of it
  43. Sayo: What I'm worried about is you yourself
  44. Sayo: Roselia will be practising more in preparation for the "FUTURE WORLD FES" And you've gone and added more work on top of your usual student council presidency work
  45. Sayo: So won't you be running yourself ragged by adding a new project to your workload?
  46. Rinko: I'll just...... Tough it out.....!
  47. Sayo: That amount of "toughing it out" is what I'm worried about.......*Sigh*. What Am I gonna do with you--
  48.
  49. [Hanasakigawa girls school: Library]
  50.
  51. Aya: ---And that's how you assumed the responsibility of planning the tournament
  52. Sayo: Yeah. But...... I don't know anything about the 100 famous poems let alone holding an event, so I'm not sure how I should go about this
  53. Sayo: Well, I guess I might be able to coast my way through it since it's just a part of classwork
  54. Sayo: As soon as I know the date and location the tournament is being held I can just wait until all of this blows over......
  55. Aya: So a tournament......Sayo-chan! That's freaking amazing!
  56. Aya: I never knew that you, the student council and the teachers cared about us students that much!
  57. Sayo: Us.....?
  58. Aya: Like right now I was just killing myself studying for the next classical literature test
  59. Aya: It's suppose to be Japanese but it's like a whole other language, I didn't have a clue what any of it meant! I was toughing it out and getting nowhere
  60. Aya: But I'd be able to enjoy studying it with a 100 famous poems tournament!
  61. Sayo: That's what the teacher said their goal was
  62. Sayo: It's just that, there are lots of students who are in the same boat as you so I'm not sure how I should make the tournament more exciting.....
  63. Aya: I know! Hey Sayo-chan, could you let me help prepare the tournament?
  64. Sayo: I don't mind but.....Why are you even mentioning it?
  65. Aya: I don't just want to participate in it. I think I'll become more familiar and be able to have fun understanding classical literature by helping you prepare for it!
  66. Aya: Ah, and of course I'm not just doing this for my own sake!
  67. Aya: As a bonus I'll be able learn a thing or two from helping you out! And I think that's amazing!
  68. Aya: So like, you know! Pretty please!
  69. Sayo: ...... Ahh, Alright then
  70. Sayo: I should be the one asking for your help. It would be a pleasure working with you, Maruyama-san
  71. Aya: Yeah! Alright then, let's hurry up and have a game! The teacher said they'd lend us a deck if we asked them......!
  72. Sayo: Right here? You can't really mess around in the library and besides we don't have enough people. The very least you need is 3 people
  73. Aya: Alright then, we gotta go find someone else to play with! Just wait a second while I tidy up my study materials......!
  74. Sayo: Ah, Maruyama-san! ......I wonder if this is a good idea......?
  75.
  76. [Chapter 1: Putting 100 famous poems into practice]
  77. [Synopsis: Aya is helping Sayo out with her 100 famous poems tournament. But first she wants to experience the 100 famous poems card game for herself....]
  78.
  79. [Hanasakigawa girls school: Hallway]
  80.
  81. Sayo: But do you think we'll be able to find someone to join us that easily?
  82. Aya: It'll be fine! I'm sure it'll all work out somehow or another! Hmm, who looks like they're begging to be invited......
  83. Aya: Ah! Perfect timing! O-i, Chisato-chan!
  84. Chisato: Oh my, Aya-chan. And Sayo-chan. What's the matter?
  85. Aya: Hey, Chisato-chan, Want to play 100 famous poems with us right now!?
  86. Chisato: Another abrupt invitation. Sorry but I'm heading off to work
  87. Aya: Ah, oh yeah. You did say photo shoot scheduled for today didn't you! That's a shame
  88. Chisato: Sorry about that. I would have loved to participate if I had the time, but you know
  89. Chisato: .....More importantly Aya-chan. Have you gotten your nose stuck in something weird again?
  90. Aya: Eek, Well......Ah, ahaha......But it's not something weird this time!
  91. Sayo: Excuse me, I was the one who her roped her into this
  92. Sayo: The student council are spearheading a 100 famous poems tournament soon and I asked her to lend me a hand
  93. Chisato: Aah, Come to think of it, I do recall the classical literature teacher mentioning something about wanting to do that
  94. Chisato: Well if that's the reason then there's no use arguing about it. And I'll bet Aya-chan pounced on you like a tiger when she heard about it?
  95. Aya: Uwu, how did you know~!?
  96. Sayo: No, l did the pouncing......!
  97. Chisato: Fufu, I'm just messing with you. Don't worry about it Sayo-chan
  98. Chisato: However, Aya-chan. If you're going to do this you'll have no excuse for not getting better grades in classical literature. Will you?
  99. Aya: Yeah! I'll get top marks! .......Probably
  100. Chisato: I'm sure you will. Well then, good luck with all that
  101. Aya: Yeah! See ya later~!
  102.
  103. [15 minutes later]
  104.
  105. Aya: We planned on asking around but......We can barely even find enough people to ask
  106. Sayo: It was bound to happen. The only reason most of the people are still here is because they have club to attend to
  107. Aya: Awww, this is a pickle
  108. Hagumi: What's a pickle?
  109. Aya: WAAA!? Hagumi-chan......And Kanon-chan!
  110. Kanon: We heard all about it when we ran into Chisato-chan. She said "She wants us to hang out with Aya-chan if we have some free time"
  111. Hagumi: And we came to ask you about it!
  112. Aya: Thanks a bunch girls! And I'll have to thank Chisato-chan later!
  113. Sayo: The hallway isn't the right place for this so we'll explain everything over at the student council room
  114. Aya: Yeah, Let's! Alrighty then, "let's go-!" to the student council room!
  115. Hagumi: GO!
  116.
  117. [Hanasakigawa girls school: Student council room]
  118.
  119. Sayo: Alright then, please try to remember the place of each corresponding card
  120. Hagumi: Got it!
  121. Sayo: You have 15 minutes. Starting from, now!
  122. Sayo: ......Sorry about this Matsubara-san, it looks like you got dragged along with Kitazawa-san
  123. Kanon: Nah it's fine. I'm having a blast
  124. Kanon: And by helping you out you meant play the 100 famous poems card game didn't you
  125. Sayo: Yeah, I had to hold a tournament as part of student council but I didn't have a clue where to start
  126. Sayo: And then Maruyama-san said we should first experience a game for ourselves
  127. Kanon: I see, that's so like Aya-chan isn't it
  128. Sayo: Yeah, Well then.......It looks like time is almost up. Shall we begin
  129. Aya: Yeah!
  130. Sayo: "It's a summer night yet the sun is already dawning"
  131. Aya: Summer night , summer night.....
  132. Hagumi: Huh? There's isn't a card like that?
  133. Sayo: ......Are you two girls perhaps looking for the card with what I just read out written on it?
  134. Kanon: Ahaha...... You see, the 100 famous poems cards have the second half of the poem written on it. You need to pick up the card that has the rest of the poem she just read on it
  135. Aya: Eeh!? How the heck am I suppose to know which card has the rest of the poem on~?
  136. Kanon: Calm down. She'll read the rest of the poem in a second
  137. Aya: Really!? Sweet
  138. Sayo: "Behind which cloud is the moon sleeping?"
  139. Hagumi: Got it!
  140. Aya: Huh!?
  141. Kanon: Hagumi-chan just took that didn't she? I didn't even see her hand reach for the card.....!
  142. Hagumi: Ehehe! I don't have a clue about the 100 famous poems but I've been playing karuta since I was a little so I'm a pro!
  143. Sayo: So that just means you have quick reflexes doesn't it. I get the feeling you're playing 100 famous poems the wrong way
  144. Kanon: Ahaha...... But it's not like she's cheating or anything, so maybe we shouldn't sweat the small stuff?
  145. Aya: Yeah! Let's keep doing what we're doing!
  146. Aya: Just you wait, I'll definitely get the next one!
  147.
  148. [Chapter 2: I want everyone to have fun]
  149. [Synopsis: Aya and the girls are experiencing a game of 100 famous poems, they then start thinking about the specifics of the tournament]
  150.
  151. [Hanasakigawa girls school: Student council room]
  152.
  153. Hagumi: Wait, it's that time already? I gotta go home and tend the shop!
  154. Hagumi: Aya-senpai, you better invite me next time you play! Well then, bye-bye!
  155. Aya: Yeah! See you later Hagumi-chan!
  156. Aya: ......Haa. I'm glad she enjoyed herself and all but she wiped the floor with me~
  157. Kanon: Hagumi-chan's reflexes where amazing where they. When I was playing she snatched the cards right out from under my nose
  158. Aya: Yeah, but don't give up! We'll have to whip her butt her next time!
  159. Kanon: Fufu, yeah. let's whip her butt
  160. Sayo: Alright, so it looks like we've fulfilled our goal by confirming how enjoyable the game actually is
  161. Sayo: So let's pack up the games for now. Now we'll have to decide on the specifics of the tournament
  162. Aya: The specifics. I guess....... The first thing we have to decide upon is when we're holding it isn't it?
  163. Kanon: Yeah. and we'll need to decide on the venue beforehand
  164. Sayo: You're right about that. I think we'll first need a have a detailed plan of the "When" "Where" and "What should we do"
  165. Sayo: The main goal is of it is familiarise everyone with classical literature so we'll have to follow the class's curriculum. Therefore I think we should have everything ready by no later than the end of this month
  166. Sayo: As for the location...... This is a spur of the moment thing so we shouldn't need a huge venue. Borrowing a classroom somewhere should be more than enough shouldn't it
  167. Sayo: Next would be putting up posters around the school and soliciting participants.....
  168. Aya/Kanon: ......
  169. Sayo: What's the matter with you two?
  170. Kanon: No, it's nothing! I just don't usually have conversation where everything is so focused like that, it was a shock
  171. Aya: Same here! We were just thinking how amazing you are!
  172. Aya: Even if you don't plan on it conversations end up getting derailed don't they
  173. Kanon: I know right. Cause Hello happy's ones start out and end up as two completely different conversations
  174. Aya: I totally get it! Like even at our last Pasupare meeting......
  175. Sayo: I see, So this is what you mean by derailment
  176. Sayo: I get where you're coming from but we don't have much time left. Let's have a nice long chit chat later
  177. Aya: Ah! Yeah! You're right!
  178. Aya: Huh? But, you've already wrapped everything up with what you said
  179. Sayo: I still have something I want to ask you two before we're fully finished. I want to hear your opinions from the perspective of a participating student
  180. Aya: Hnn......What would be interesting......From the perspective as a participant.....
  181. Aya: .....I guess "Interest in participating"
  182. Sayo: And by that you mean?
  183. Aya: Cause this tournament was originally set up because of the teacher's desire to get people to fall in love with classical literature wasn't it?
  184. Aya: In other words, I think I would want people to participate because they're bad at classical literature like myself......
  185. Kanon: Ah......Oh yeah. Because people who don't like classical literature won't have any desire to participate will they?
  186. Aya: Yeah, I think if I saw a poster for it I'd just take one look and think "hell no" because I'm not good at it
  187. Sayo: Well then, how about we make it mandatory that the participants have failing grades in classical literature?
  188. Aya: I'd throw the poster right into the trash if you did that~!
  189. Sayo: You may be right about that but besides, there's no point in holding this tournament if nobody enters so what's the worst that could happen?
  190. Aya: That's exactly why I think we should hold a tournament that even people who suck at classical literature will find "fun"!
  191. Sayo: .......! You're right.......About that.....
  192. Aya: I was thinking about this while I was playing. Even if you don't know what the 100 famous poems mean you can still make it a game where you take the cards by memorising the poems
  193. Aya: There's probably loads of people like myself who are bad at classical literature aren't there?
  194. Aya: So, I think the most important thing we should do is make them enjoy the content and meaning of the poems!
  195. Sayo: ......You have a point there. But if we do that then won't you have to study all the poems beforehand?
  196. Aya: I know right~. It's pretty tough isn't it~
  197. Sayo: You need the knowledge to fully enjoy it but in order to gain that knowledge you first need to find it enjoyable. that's quite the contradiction isn't it
  198. Aya: But, I'm sure there is a way to casually get people interested in the content......!
  199. Aya/Sayo: Hnnn
  200. Kanon: Hmm......How about guidebook?
  201. Sayo: Guidebook?
  202. Aya: Ah......!
  203. Aya: Yeah, a guidebook! Why didn't I think of that!
  204. Aya: I'm sure that'll work! Let's make one! A "100 famous poems guidebook"!!!
  205. Sayo: (A guidebook......? What purpose if any would they serve?)
  206.
  207.
  208. [Chapter 3: Making another ・ guidebook]
  209. [Synopsis: Aya and the girls decide to make a "100 famous poems guidebook". What kind of ideas will everyone contribute?]
  210.
  211. [Hanasakigawa girls school: Student council room]
  212.
  213. Sayo: "Cherry blossom viewing guidebook"?
  214. Aya: Yeah! We made one a while ago when we organised a flower viewing party!
  215. Kanon: We had like an introduction of poems about cherry blossoms and their composers and we filled the rest with all of the other things we researched
  216. Kanon: The girls who came with us were Maya-chan, Lisa-chan and Ran-chan and even Ran-chan loved the guidebook
  217. Aya: Yeah yeah! So I think something like that guidebook will work this time as well to casually get people interested in the 100 famous poems!
  218. Sayo: And this time you'll be using the guidebook to introduce people to poetry
  219. Sayo: You can casually introduce them to the content and on top of that it will function as a notification for the event, I think it's a wonderful idea
  220. Kanon: Really? That's a relief
  221. Aya: Alight, let's hurry up and get planning on making those guidebooks! So we can make an even more powered up version of the flower viewing guidebook!
  222. Kanon: Yeah! Let's do our best!
  223.
  224. [30 Minutes later]
  225.
  226. Aya: Hnn. Do you think this is enough content for the guidebook?
  227. Sayo: A summery of the poems, a simple profile of the composers and an introduction to manga and movies featuring the 100 famous poems......
  228. Kanon: I want to add what Aya-chan brought up "Modern translations of classic poems"
  229. Sayo: Modern translations? Are the explanations different from the actual poem?
  230. Aya: I'd love it if the poems were simplified and easier to understand. The explanations are full of difficult words so it just makes my head spin even more
  231. Sayo: Does it now?
  232. Kanon: Hnn......Take this modern translation of a poem, for example, hmm......
  233. Kanon: "The hut overlooking the autumn rice fields thatching is so crude my sleeves are getting soaked"
  234. Sayo: " The roof to the hut besides the autumn rice fields has been roughly thatched together and is full of gaps. Because of those gaps the condensation from the nightly fog is starting to drip through and my sleeves are getting wet"
  235. Sayo: I think that would be the gist of it
  236. Aya: Yeah exactly! It's even written like that in the book I read!
  237. Aya: But isn't that kinda hard to understand? Why can't you simply put, There's a draft in here, I'm freezing my butt off~.....?
  238. Sayo: That's a very loose interpretation
  239. Kanon: Not just modern interpretations, We might be able to make it even easier to understand If we give examples based on our own experiences
  240. Aya: Yeah! That!
  241. Aya: For example if it was rewritten today, hmm......
  242. Aya: Something like......"The prefab hut I was waiting in the other day while I was on standby to be photographed had gaps between the door and window frame, the wind was whistling right on in, I was freezing my butt off~!?
  243. Kanon: Fufu, I can picture you shivering your butt off
  244. Sayo: That's a relatable and easy to imagine example isn't it. But I feel like the content...... Is a bit off the mark though
  245. Aya: Eh!? You think?
  246. Sayo: Ah, no. It's not wrong enough to worry about
  247. Sayo: Poems have a lot of interpretations so I don't think the interpretation you just gave is in the slightest bit wrong
  248. Aya: I see, that's a relief~!
  249. Kanon: But adding examples like that to the other 100 famous poems sounds pretty tough doesn't it
  250. Aya: Then how about we, hnn..... Pick out a few poems to give examples to like the one I just did and for the rest we'll write a short sentence with our impressions on it?
  251. Kanon: Sounds great! And I think that if we add a simple illustration to the ones with just our thoughts on they won't seem so empty
  252. Kanon: What do you think of......Something like this?
  253. Sayo: Is that a picture of a hypothermic.......Jellyfish?
  254. Aya: Amazing! So adorable!
  255. Sayo: Adding an illustration makes the world of difference doesn't it
  256. Kanon: Ehehe. Do you think?
  257. Aya: Our own "100 famous poems guidebook" with modern interpretations, our own personal examples and thoughts. with the added bonus of Kanon-chan's adorable illustrations!
  258. Aya: This will totally work! ......Well, that's what I think anyway. But what about you Sayo-chan?
  259. Sayo: Let me think.....
  260. Sayo: (The thing I'm worried about is how much "Time" we have and whether or not we'll be able finish this amount of work before the tournament)
  261. Sayo: (I have to coordinate the event so I can't help them out for very long. What should I do to make up for that.......)
  262. Kanon: Hmm, are you alright there, Sayo-chan?
  263. Sayo: ......Yeah, Of course I am. Can I leave the guidebook making up to you?
  264. Aya: Yeah!
  265. Kanon: Thanks, Sayo-chan
  266. Sayo: Not at all, I should be thanking you. Thank you very much
  267. Aya: Ehehe. Alright then, let's work out butts off!
  268.
  269. [Chapter 4: What I have to do]
  270. [Synopsis: Aya and the girls get started on creating their guidebook. To compensate for the amount of work needed Sayo takes a certain action]
  271.
  272. [Hanasakigawa girls school: Library]
  273.
  274. Sayo: This, and this. And I'll need all of those ones. And are there any other useful books and resources I need......
  275. Rinko: Good work.......Hikawa-san. Are you looking for......References on......The 100 famous poems?
  276. Sayo: Yeah. I was looking for the easiest to understand references I could find but there's a lot more than I expected so it's taking a while
  277. Rinko: There's quite a lot of book collections regarding the...... 100 famous poems so.....Hmm, is......There anything I can do to help......?
  278. Sayo: I'm alright. I can handle this on my own......
  279. Sayo: (That's right. I could ask for Shirokane-san's help with that......as well while I'm here.....)
  280. Sayo: .....No.....I mean. I do have something you can help me with--
  281.
  282. [30 Minutes later]
  283. [Hanasakigawa girls school: Student council room]
  284.
  285. Aya: What does daybreak even mean? Hmm, I think the modern translations should be over here.....
  286. Kanon: Is it this book? Here you go
  287. Aya: Thanks! Sorry about this, I was the one who said we should add our own poems as examples but this is taking forever
  288. Aya: Just understanding the meaning of the poems is a pain in the butt, I'm not making as much progress as I hoped
  289. Kanon: Nah, it's totally fine. but I am a bit worried about how much time we have left
  290. Aya: Don't worry about a thing! We'll somehow or another make it on time!
  291. Aya: I'm sure whoever sees these guidebook will then enjoy the 100 famous poems tournament! So I absolutely want to hand them out!
  292. Sayo: Good work girls. So how are you two progressing?
  293. Newspaper club members 1 & 2: Good work
  294. Aya: Sayo-chan. And are these, hmm......Are they student council members or something? Good work to you too!
  295. Kanon: Maybe they're having a meeting? Do you think we should leave the room?
  296. Sayo: No, they're from the newspaper club. They came to help you two make the guidebook
  297. Newspaper club member 1: We came to help with organising and printing the book and all the way up to the binding!
  298. Newspaper club member 2: Don't hesitate to ask us if there's anything you don't understand
  299. Sayo: I asked Shirokane-san to ask for the library committee members help with gathering up the relevant reference material
  300. Sayo: To make the guidebook making process easier the girls have gathered up all the simplest explanations and the most popular modern translations for us
  301. Kanon: Even the library committee? Amazing......!
  302. Sayo: .......I've been thinking about this from the start
  303. Sayo: Both of your ideas were wonderful. But it's clear that there isn't enough manpower for this amount of work
  304. Sayo: At the rate we were going your guidebook won't be finished in time. so I did everything I should be doing to prevent that from happening
  305. Aya: And then you looked for people to help us out?
  306. Sayo: Yeah, was I overstepping my bounds?
  307. Aya: No, not at all! You did us a huge favor!
  308. Aya: Thank you so much Sayo-chan! We'll have an absolutely positively great event if we all work together!
  309. Sayo: Yeah, there's no doubts about it
  310. Aya: Ehehe. Alright, let's work our butts off!!!
  311.
  312. [Night]
  313. [Aya's bedroom]
  314.
  315. Aya: I'll write my thoughts here and......Here I'll put what extra resources I'll ask the library committee to look for tomorrow
  316. Aya: And then......? Ah, a phone call from Chisato-chan
  317. Aya: Hello, Chisato-chan? What's the matter?
  318. Chisato: Good evening. Sorry for calling
  319. Chisato: I got given a questionnaire for the next variety show we're appearing on and a script for a commercial at the agency today. I picked up yours as well so I'll bring it to school tomorrow
  320. Aya: Really? Thanks!
  321. Chisato: You're welcome. By the way, how's it going? Making any progress with the guidebook?
  322. Aya: How do you know about that!? ......Oh yeah, you must've heard it from Kanon-chan
  323. Aya: It's all going great thanks to you. I now know what kind of thing I have to write to match the mood of the poem so I'm really enjoying it!
  324. Chisato: Oh my, you seem to be brimming with self confidence. Well then, how about you pick me out a perfect poem to fit the mood
  325. Aya: Eeh!? Hmm, hmm......Ah, how about this one
  326. Aya: "The autumn winds part the trailing clouds to let the splendour of the moonlight shine through"
  327. Chisato: So is it a poem about...... "The autumn wind cutting through the clouds to let the moonlight shine through the space that it created. And how beautifully clear and perfect the light is"?
  328. Chisato: ......But the moonlight is actually faint at the moment because it's a bit cloudy
  329. Aya: Yeah, but I still think it's really pretty
  330. Chisato: Yeah, sure is
  331. Chisato: Since we're both looking at the moon right now it's like we're having a moon viewing party isn't it
  332. Aya: Great idea, a moon viewing party! Maybe I should grab some dumplings and tea?
  333. Chisato: Save that for tomorrow. You're always going on about how you should be especially careful about midnight snacking, snacking between meals and skipping breakfast aren't you?
  334. Aya: I get it, It'll be fine
  335. Aya: ......But it is kinda wonderful isn't it
  336. Aya: We don't have tea or dumplings but, chatting with your friends when you're in different places, looking at the same moon
  337. Chisato: It feels a little strange but......This kind of moon viewing party is pretty good as well
  338. Aya: Yeah! Ehehe
  339. Aya: Ah, oh yeah. We have a day off next Sunday don't we Chisato-chan, let's do what we did at the last photo-shoot and.....
  340.
  341.

  344.
  345. [Hanasakigawa girls school: Student council room]
  346.
  347. Aya: Nice, and I'm finished with this page
  348. Aya: How about you Kanon-chan?
  349. Kanon: Yeah, going great. All that's left is to finish coloring this page in and......Finished!
  350. Aya: Woah, amazing! Yeah, your illustrations are so pretty!
  351. Kanon: Ehehe, Do you think?
  352. Aya: Let's keep up the pace and get the rest done! And the next poem up is-......
  353. Kanon: Huh? That was the last one
  354. Aya: So that means......
  355. Aya: Uwu, we made it in time.......!
  356. Kanon: That's a relief. It's all thanks to everyone's help isn't it
  357. Aya: Yeah! I'll have to thank them a bunch later
  358. Aya: Up next is printing and binding and then we're done. I wonder how everyone will like them? This is getting exciting♪
  359.
  360. [1 hour later]
  361. [Hanasakigawa girls school: Hallway]
  362.
  363. Aya: We're holding a 100 famous poems tournament! You all gotta enter it!
  364. Kanon: We made guidebook to introduce you to the 100 famous poems. Please take one
  365. Rimi: 100 famous poems tournament...... So they're holding that event this year
  366. Saaya: I guess this is poster for it? It says they're mass recruiting participants
  367. Rimi: It does. But I probably don't know enough about the 100 famous poems to enter
  368. Arisa: Not many people do so they made a guidebook
  369. Kokoro: That's kinda interesting, I'm gonna go grab one!
  370. Kasumi: Me too, me too! Aya-senpai, can I please have a guidebook
  371. Aya: Sure! Here you go
  372. Kasumi: Thank you very much! Woah! All the pages are so colorful and adorable!
  373. Arisa: Are they, Lemme see? Ah, modern poem translations. And on top of that.....Ahaha. What the heck is up with that weird ass modern translation
  374. Hagumi: "Before I knew it the place where they sold bikinis has started selling moon viewing dumplings, Ah, it's already autumn~"
  375. Hagumi: Ahaha, I totally get it! Cause when I saw all the pumpkin croquettes all lined up earlier I thought "yeah, it's already autumn!"
  376. Saaya: Did Aya-senpai come up with that?
  377. Aya: Yeah I did! And I also asked Kanon-chan to draw that adorable illustration for me!
  378. Rimi: I love that illustration. It has a soft touch and hue. It's so cozy
  379. Arisa: You're right about that, It adds a nice charm to it. Classical literature can be a bit hard to wrap your head around but this one just pops right into your head or whatever
  380. Kokoro: I know right! It's kinda like a picture book and it's wonderful!
  381. Kanon: Really? That's a relief
  382. Aya: Looks like everyone is having a blast reading it
  383. Aya: I wonder if we conveyed how fun reading classical literature can be to the people who hate it as well?
  384. Kanon: I'm sure we did. "Our 100 famous poems guidebook" were a huge success weren't they!
  385. Aya: Yeah!
  386. Chisato: Oh my, well what do we have here. This is quite the crowd isn't it
  387. Aya: Chisato-chan!
  388. Chisato: You girls worked hard so that I had to come check out the results. Could I have one as well?
  389. Aya: Of course you can! Here you go!
  390. Chisato: Thank you
  391. Chisato: It's just as amazing as everyone said. The pictures and content are all easy to understand. Above all it's charming to look at
  392. Chisato: Aya-chan, Kanon-chan. You two did a really great job
  393. Aya: Eh, ehehe......Thanks Chisato-chan!
  394. Aya: But you know, you deserve some of the credit as well Chisato-chan. Cause you were the one who called Kanon-chan over!
  395. Aya: Thank you, Chisato-chan
  396. Chisato: Fufu, you're welcome
  397.
  398. [Ending: Commanders and dream chasers!]
  399. [Synopsis: The day before the 100 famous poems tournament. Aya and Sayo reflect back on the journey and share with each other what it meant to them]
  400.
  401. [Day before the 100 famous poems tournament]
  402. [Hanasakigawa girls school: Gym]
  403.
  404. Aya/Hagumi: It's time to duel!
  405. Chisato: Why am I reading the poems.......No, now's not the time to question that. Get ready girls. "Heavenly winds I beg of you, blow shut the passage amidst the clouds that link the heaven and earth"......
  406. Sayo: Shirasagi-san is getting eaten alive by those two girls momentum isn't she
  407. Sayo: And I told them today was just to confirm how everything would flow together on the actual day
  408. Kanon: Fufu, but they look like they're having a blast. Good luck girls~!
  409. Sayo: For Christ sake....... We're going to be here all day so please keep it to one game only
  410.
  411. [Way home]
  412.
  413. Hagumi: This sucks~! I totally thought I would win!
  414. Kanon: It was a close match wasn't it. I was only spectating but I was on edge of my seat the whole time
  415. Sayo: Yeah, they were both standing their ground, it was an amazing match
  416. Chisato: It felt like those two were about to rip each others throats out near the end didn't it
  417. Aya: But I only won the last match. Today was just practice so.......The real battle starts tomorrow!
  418. Hagumi: Cause I'm absolutely set to win tomorrow!
  419. Aya: Bring it on, I ain't gonna lose either!
  420. Hagumi: Sure! Well then my house is this way so!
  421. Kanon: Ah, wait up Hagumi-chan. I'm going to stop off at the store on the way home so shall we go together!
  422. Kanon: Well then, see you girls tomorrow
  423. Chisato: Yeah, see you tomorrow
  424. Hagumi: Bye-bye!
  425. Aya: Bye-bye! .......Phew. The day of the tournament is coming up tomorrow~. Kind of thrilling isn't it
  426. Sayo: Not the nervous kind of heart pounding about whether it'll all go smoothly?
  427. Chisato: A normal person would be anxious beforehand wouldn't they
  428. Aya: Of course I'm anxious as well! But everyone worked incredibly hard preparing for it so I'm sure it'll be a fun event!
  429. Sayo: That's quite a lot of confidence you have there......Maruyama-san is amazing isn't she
  430. Aya: Eeh!? I'm not amazing in the slightest!
  431. Aya: I can only think like that because of all the people that helped us...... When I think about that it just feels right to say it out loud.....!
  432. Sayo: That's why I think you're so amazing
  433. Sayo: All I was thought about when I took the job was that I hope the 100 famous poems tournament ends without a hitch
  434. Sayo: Although Maruyama-san was forcing most of the things she said the way she spoke and conducted herself sucked in everything around her and helped the tournament grow even larger.......
  435. Chisato: I know right. It's not just limited to this time, Aya-chan is always like this
  436. Sayo: In some respects she's flaky but she's the flake that stands up at the front pulling everyone along. supporting while encouraging all the people she gets involved......
  437. Sayo: Maruyama-san's charm and strength is that she's always thinking about doing everything with "everyone" isn't it
  438. Aya: You're one to talk!
  439. Aya: This time I was re-reminded how amazing you are Sayo-chan. Cause you were the one who taught me how unify all the people I got involved and lead them in the right direction
  440. Aya: You took the helm in making the tournament itself a reality....... Yeah! So if I'm amazing then you must be absolutely amazing
  441. Chisato: You're both buttering each other up. but yeah, I think it's just like you two said
  442. Chisato: Aya-chan always comes up with these fantasic ideas but there are loads of times where she leaves out the way to accomplish them. For better or worse, they're all pipe-dreams
  443. Chisato: And to turn that pipe-dream into reality you need someone who is realistic with both feet planted on the ground to coordinate and come up with a road map to the goal, don't you?
  444. Sayo: I don't have an outrageous presence like that.....
  445. Chisato: There's nothing wrong with it, just suck it up for now
  446. Sayo: Ahh......So that's the way the cookie crumbles?
  447. Sayo: But a "pipe-dream"? You're right, that might be the perfect analogy for Maruyama-san
  448. Sayo: So Maruyama-san, how's that "Dream notebook" You told me about coming along?
  449. Chisato: If I'm not mistaken Aya-chan's "Dream notebook" Is where she writes all of her dreams and goals she wants to fulfill isn't it?
  450. Aya: Yeah, I'm still doing that!
  451. Aya: I guess the content of it has gotten a bit...... Out of control? Thanks to that the path to turning them all into reality is starting to get even further away
  452. Sayo: But you're never going to give up are you
  453. Aya: Of course not! Cause someday I'll definitely show you that I've made every dream in my notebook come true!
  454. Sayo: (That's not lip service. Maruyama-san truly believes it. She will show me when both her "Dreams" and "Goals" come true)
  455. Sayo: (I've been going about everything the wrong way. That's why......I may still have a lot to learn from Maruyama-san)
  456. Sayo: That's a relief to hear, let's both do our best Maruyama-san
  457. Aya: Yeah!
  458. Chisato: Fufu......That's enough of all that. Dreams are important and all but first you have to focus on managing tomorrow's tournament. That's an important "Goal" isn't it?
  459. Sayo: You're right, like they say "a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step"
  460. Aya: Yeah! Alrighty then, let's work our butts off!
  461.
  462. [Day of the 100 famous poems tournament]
  463. [Hanasakigawa girls school: Gym]
  464.
  465. Broadcast committee member: Tournament committee chairman would you please announce the start of the event
  466. Kanon: Good luck Sayo-chan!
  467. Chisato: We'll be cheering you on from the sidelines
  468. Sayo: Sure. Everyone.....Thank you very much...... Well then
  469. Sayo: Let the 100 famous poems tournament begin!
  470. [END]
  471.
