Hi,

James from IMP here with some truly inspiring electronic music from Hawthorne, CA musical mastermind moduS ponY whose new record Dandelion Isle will change how you look at the genre. Matt Ackerman, the man behind the project, is a talented multi-instrumentalist who, with this EP further builds on a legacy of mind expanding music. Far more eclectic than many of his peers Ackerman finds an almost overwhelming breadth of emotion in his tightly produced sounds.

Although he has yet to receive major accolades it seems to me at least that Ackerman is speaking to a more profound reality with powerful tracks that communicate deeply poignant messages. Sure, everything is instrumental, but it's hard not to get lost in his vivid soundscapes and beautifully constructed aural paradises. Electronic music that will even appeal to those who don't normally like electronic music, modus PonY accomplishes great things with Dandelion Isle.
