History: Originally the fifth son of a long and prestigious line of Minnesota lumberjacks, Bruno came to Champaign as the jobs began drying up. The field was becoming even more industrialized, and fewer men were needed for the work. At first taking odd jobs at factories and the city park, he originally intended to pay his way to Chicago and find work there. However, his outgoing personality, rugged looks, and general pleasantness eventually got him a job at a children's camp on the outskirts of town. After a summer, however, that dried up.
