  21. -------
  22. >Charlie sighs while at her desk doing paperwork
  23. >She looks up from her work and at the spartan office
  24. >The only decorations being pictures of the friends that followed her on her path
  25. >There's an extra picture frame on her desk, face down
  26. >She hesitantly picks it up
  27. >It's a picture of her, her parents and...
  28. >Anon.
  29. >It's been years since she saw him
  30. >He left before... The incident.
  31. >He went to purgatory to see what was wrong with it and to try and fix it
  32. >Communication and travel was cut off from the in-between og Heaven and Hell after her rise to power
  33. >She had ordered Octavia to open a portal to Purgatory in order to retrieve her brother
  34. >It was a massive failure.
  35. >The portal opened, flickered and the imploded
  36. >The resulting implosion scarred Octavia and burnt off many of her feathers
  37. >No other attempts were made
  38. >She sighs in frustration and sets the picture frame back down
  39. >Anon would have a way to make her feel better if he was here
  40. >Hell, she would even take his stupid puns at this point
  41. >She hopes he's not...dead.
  42. >She hates to admit it but she's secretly glad he isn't here, that way he can't see what she's done.
  43. >She finishes her daily bureaucratic duty and goes to bed where vaggie is already sleeping
  44. >She carefully climbs into bed after changing into nightwear
  45. >She drifts off into a dreamless sleep once again
  46.
  47. >Meanwhile in the ruins of Despair
  48. >The quiet ruins are disturbed as a dull grey portal violently springs to life and spits a figure out of it before collapsing just as violently
  49. "Fuuuck that shit burns!"
  50. >Anon stands up and looks at himself
  51. >He's covered in soot
  52. "Aw what the fuck is this shit?"
  53. -
  54. >Anon makes his way out of Despair, wiping soot off his face as he goes along
  55. >Sinners and demons alike that were investigating started backing up from Anon
  56. >Anon notices the look of fear on their faces
  57. "What? Never seen a prince before?"
  58. >The small crowd runs off and Anon groans
  59. "Fucking fags."
  60. >Anon does some stretching before doing something he finds unpleasant
  61. >He lets his wings out
  62. >The sounds of bones cracking and skin tearing is heard as the wings sprout from his back
  63. >Anon shudders after they're done forming
  64. "Okay, huuuagh... Three, two, one. Takeoff!"
  65. >Anon flies into the air and to Pandemonium
  66. >Not even five minutes into his journey he's shot down by anti-Exterminator weapons and bagged
  67. >The nearly unconscious Anon looks at his surroundings as he's dragged off
  68. >He sees all of the Charlie propoganda
  69. >And all of the signs basically saying Obey Or Perish
  70. >Anon looks at the demon dragging him along
  71. >"Angel filth."
  72. "But I'm no-"
  73. >Anon is cut off from his sentence and his consciousness
  74. >The demon feels satisfied, he just punched out an angel(ignorant fool)
  75. >The queen will surely reward him for this
  76. >Hell
  77. >He's going to drop him at her feet
  78. -
  79. And the related post
  80. >after the takeover, Charlie more or less cleaned up the old guard
  81. >it was the Mother of All Purges, the sort that made Stalin's look like a nursery school teacher send the naughty kids to the time-out corner
  82. >with her dad dead, the rest of the Seven Princes followed, starting with Mammon and Moloch
  83. >soon enough, she had all of Hell's finances and arms industry under her thumb
  84. >Belphergor was quickly dealt with - suffocated in his sleep - and his overgrown zone in Pentagram was napalmed to a desert
  85. >leaving no hideouts for the rest, other than the Wastes
  86. >...but she put paid to them, too - with all of Hell's armies at her command, she eradicated the Warlords of the Wasteland
  87. >it really was tantamount to genocide - "Leave non standing." was the order
  88. >Beelzebub followed, alongside Azazel, just for good measure, lest they'd accuse her of nepotism
  89. >with food production under her control, she effectively seized full control over Hell, and with Asmodeus' death, she stood practically unopposed - especially after she had hunted down Leviathan
  90. >the concrete housing estates of Envy were deemed the most efficient when it comes to the usage of space - thus, all cities were demolished, and rebuilt based on one plan, wit the Wastes around them turned into proxy zones, separating each by walls
  91. >leaving no place to hide
  92. >"Useful" overlords, like Vox, and his thralls (Katie and Tom), Michael and Ezekiel, and even Sir Pentious, were left alive (if under unending scrutiny), while "useless" ones (such as Valentino, Velvet, and, eventually, the rebelling Cherri Bomb), were executed - permanently
  93. >with her order solidified, and Hell made devoid of all pleasures, Charlie - now Queen Charlotte, or, the "Scarlet Queen" - began dealing with the overpopulation problem
  94. >even after cramming everyone in concrete shoeboxes, there was still simply not enough room for all the sinners
  95. >so, she set about "correcting" that
  96.
  97. >only her old friends were shown "true" mercy
  98. --
  99. This quarantine fucked my motivation
  100. >Charlie is at her desk once again
  101. >Signing forms and looking at petitions
  102. >Michael and Ezekiel want to increase food production by five percent
  103. "No."
  104. >Vox wants to air something that isn't propoganda
  105. "No."
  106. >Sir Pentious wants to build anything other than enforcers
  107. "No."
  108. >There's rapid knocking on her door
  109. "I'm busy. Please come back later."
  110. >"Charlie! Charlie you need to see this!"
  111. "Vaggie? What's wrong? Do we have another rebellion?"
  112. >"No! Just come out and see this!"
  113. >Vaggies tone makes it clear that she won't let up until Charlie complies
  114. >Charlie sighs and gets up from her desk
  115. >She follows an anxious Vaggie to the entrance of Pandemonium
  116. >She sees a overjoyed looking demon and a beaten and battered...
  117. >Anon.
  118. -
  119. >to describe Charlie's regime as "draconian" or "hair-splittingly micromanaging" would've been understatements
  120. >her precision and work ethic was such that it would've made even the most stereotypical German cower in awe and fear, would've made a Stakhanovite blush and a Swiss watchmaker cream his pants
  121. >under her reign, Hell truly became fitting of the "Hellish" adjective, albeit with a 20th century spin on it
  122. >while she didn't bother to monitor every apartment, Big Brother-style, no conspirator would escape her wrath - so, the people, even the newcomers, eventually gave up
  123. >newbies landing in Hell would immediately be escorted to the "Population Registry Offfice", where they were given an ID (tattooed onto their forearms, or shoulders, along with a sign that identified their sin), were given their clothes and one replacement, and, tellingly, an "End Date" to their residence
  124. >the level of regimentation was inhumane: people living in odd and even numbered flats could leave their apartments at different parts of the day, any fights or even arguments resulted in the immediate termination of both parties
  125. >most menial jobs were done by robots, leaving people with little to do than wait in their homes for their fate - those driven insane were simply exterminated early on
  126. >the remaining overlords formed an "inner party" of sorts, all with their own, dedicated tasks, with a practically free hand given as to whom they could hire - provided they do it without fuss
  127. >news were dry, repetitive and miscellaneous, delivered by an expressionless Tom Trench and practically "sleep-reporting" Katie Killjoy: production results, the list of the executed that day (along with their sins), and a short recap of any minor accidents that happened
  128. >without independent companies, there were no adds - there were, however, "personalized programs": each sinner got to (had to, really) "review" their own sins
  129. >every single thing, from birth to death, that landed them in Hell
  130. -
  131. I imagine she has this incomprehensibly vast room full of filing cabinets filled with every single individual sinners life story in it
  132. >Magic files
  133. >The page you pull out is always the one you want
  134. >Cabinets do the same, the cabinet you open has the file you're looking for
  135. -----
  136. Okay so... Dictator charlie. How does she even stay in power? Ruling through fear just makes rebelling look like a better and better option. I know she has complete control over the media and communications(i think) but how does she keep the population from rebelling? What kind of propoganda does she have?
  137. -
  138. She basically defeated her father, and, in the process, confirmed that bot he, and now, her, were/are seraphim, the most powerful form of angels.
  139. And she just had his father's entire army, spy network and praetorian guard fall into her lap. Like all good dictatorships, she starts out slow and subtle, doing a mile a minute while Hell is still in shellshock over Lucifer's death.
  140. She takes care of anyone from her dad's close circle who could harm her... Then has anyone outside of that bent to her will via blackmail, kidnappings, torture, or just good ol' fashioned executions.
  141. Before any significant resistance could be mounted, she had already retooled Hell's power apparatus to serve her, and her only, with everything being centralized around her.
  142. At this point, resistance is futile - but, just to make sure everyone gets the point across, she let's some rebels go down on a wild goose chase, before capturing them all and killing them.
  143. And after that, with their spirits broken, she can finalize her authority.
  144. -
  145. so how is she going to handle her (ignorant fairly innocent) brother who knows nothing of what she did returning?
  146. -
  147. Probably with a mixture of relief and the slow realization that she now has to explain that she killed their father.
  148. Considering this is the world were isekai (did I write that right) anon exists, but the other anons don't, there had to be something else to trigger Charlie's descend into tyranny - her mother could've died just the same, but for a different reason.
  149. But yeah, there would be much awkward, guilty, heavy silence as she mulls over how to break the news to anon.
  150. -
  151. considering how much shes changed i doubt she would tell him the truth and make up a cover story with sprinkles of truth in it
  152. >oh anon it was terrible
  153. >a rogue angel tried to start the apocalypse
  154. >mom and dad died stopping them and i took the throne to keep order
  155. i mean she would feel like shit for lying to her brother and keep telling herself that its for the best
  156. ------------
  157. So i was thinking about the cold war because college and how the US and the Union would have little proxy wars by backing certain governments and groups
  158. I think Heaven would do the same in the dictator charlie timeline
  159. They would supply "rogue" angels with weapons and soldiers who would then go on to attack Hell
  160. To give a feeling of how fucked these groups are here is a link
  161. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0xJD5o1TwY
  162. ----------------------------------
  163. >Anon discovers what his sister has done and flees
  164. >She personally chases after him
  165. >They end up running/flying into the wastes and get separated by a sand storm
  166. >Anon finds a cave and tales shelter within it
  167. >He ventures deep into the cave and finds four sealed vases
  168. >They all have labels etched into the pedestals
  169. >War
  170. >Famine
  171. >Pestilence
  172. >Death
  173. >Anon can hear the sealed away cataclysms whispering to him, encouraging him to use them
  174. >TDLR anon runs away, finds the four horsemen of the apocalypse kinda and pulls a prince of egypt
  175. -------
  176. So in the dictator charlie au sinners are executed at a certain date
  177. Did we every do anything for the natives, imps and such? Are they treated the same way or is imp city basically city 17? If it is then joining her regime would be a possible option for them
  178. -
  179. I think it will become city 17.
  180. ----------------------------------------

  182. >Dictator charlie
  183. >Anons face when he finds out the state of hell without charlies lies
  184. -
  185. I really want someone to pick up that idea and turn into a full on story.
  186.
  187. that pic and greentext just make me want more of it.
  188. -
  189. I may have missed it because I can't see straight at the moment, but who are the grunts, the peons of Dictator Charlie's version of Hell? Is she manufacturing her own version of the exterminators? Is she occasionally grafting damned souls into some kind of shell to turn them into automatons to just do what she says, Strogg-style?
  190. -
  191. maybe or the grunts are hell born demons that look (something) like pic related
  192. -
  193. Doesn't she use the imps and such like the combine use humans for civil protection and overwatch?
  194. -
  195. yes
  196. -
  197. Okay in order
  198. >Grunts are manufactured all purpose machines, called oppressors i think
  199. >The old overlords were either executed or forced to work for her, the overseers of Avarice produce most of Hells products, food and such
  200. >Sir Pentious is forced to build more oppressors
  201. >Katie and tom are still doing the news but they just list off sinners and their reasons for being in hell, shit sucks for them
  202. >No soul grafting or stroggifying
  203. >All sinners are given a date for execution
  204. ------
  205. As someone who detailed Charlie's rise to power, AAAAALL the way back when the whole Dictator idea was just a "bad end" timeline after "New Moon", and other anon-related shenanigans, here's my pitch on the idea:
  206.
  207. >for Sinners, Hell is a soul-destroying phalaster, where they spend their lives in sensory deprivation, waiting until it is their time to be erased, while being forced to reflect upon their sins that brought them there
  208. >for most demons it's a life of puritan squalor, with training for war being the only excitement
  209. >others are grueling away in Hell's mines, or working on construction projects - everything is utilitarian and uncomfortable
  210. >after millennia of living life extravagantly due to human vices and inventions, for most, it is maddening
  211. >the nobility became reclusive, hiding away in their castles and palaces - some have even "hired" a large portion of the native demons as their "servants", in order to provide them with an environment safe from the Queen's rigor
  212. >chaotic beings don't function well under most basic forms of order, let alone totalitarianism
  213. >those working for the Queen herself wear little to no identifying marks, their uniforms conceals their faces, genders, alter their voices, and, in general, serve to completely dehumanize them, going as far as to break up their general visage from afar, making it difficult to recognize them as bipedal beings
  214. >there's not a lot of them, and most work as overseers for troops of Oppressor droids - Hellish inversions of the Exterminators of Heaven, though, the change is only surface level
  215. >functionally, they're almost the same
  216. >it all appears stagnant, but it is, in fact, in perfect equilibrium
  217. >Sinners are erased at the same pace as they arrive, and the economy is set up in a way that literally everyone is comfortably provided for
  218. >humanity's dream of a Utopia - set up to be as inhumane as possible
  219. -
  220. >Anon gets snatched up by oppressors when he returns from purgatory
  221. >They take him to Charlie after his genetic code was scanned
  222. >Now he lives with his sister again
  223. >In the remodeled Pandemonium palace alongside Vaggie and the rest of Charlies remaining friends
  224. >His golden cage
  225. -
  226. >Charlie acts differently when she's around her brother
  227. >Less grave, less frightening
  228. >Grim topics are off the table for the most part
  229. >Sometimes she'll even sing again, softly
  230.
  231. >She seems to be trying to act like the woman her brother used to know
  232. >Trying to get him to help her relive happier days, before things got to be...what they are now
  233.
  234. >The others eventually pick up on this
  235. >They realize that whenever Anon is around Charlie, things improve, going from '100% Pure Despair' to '99 & 44/100% Pure Despair'
  236. >On occasions when the gravity of the dire situation of the afterlife gets to be too much for them, they seek out Anon
  237. >They all but cling to him, knowing that his presence will temper Charlie's darker moods, using him as a shield against their queen's madness
  238. -
  239. >progress is slow, but still noticeable
  240. >she seems less tense, less on edge
  241. >while nowhere near cordial, she use the grim, cold tone she had become infamous for instead of her singing less and less
  242. >even offering small praises to those who impress her
  243.
  244. >she becomes noticeably more relaxed around her friends
  245. >even making polite conversation with some of them
  246. >Vaggie can even confirm that some of the love had returned to their relationship
  247. >Charlie had also confided her with some of her personal woes (which Vaggie wouldn't divulge in detail)
  248. >she had even laughed at one of Angel's tamer jokes
  249. >it seems like, slowly, but surely, she's thawing out - and it's not just delusional escapism
  250. >one day, she makes a few landmark decisions, granting some of the requests posed to her - Vox is allowed to add a new program (it's only a nature documentary series on Hellish wildlife), Sir Pent is allowed to design and build new transport vehicles for the regime, and so on...
  251. >of course, all activities are still strictly monitored for any sign of subversion or sabotage, and liquidations carry on as normal
  252.
  253. >but it's a start
  254. -
  255. I love this shit
  256. >Anon can't get any dates
  257. >Be it sinner or demon everyone doesn't want to fuck the queens brother
  258. >It doesn't help that Charlie is a complete mama bear with him in that regard
  259. >If she doesn't approve of someone courting Anon they "disappear"
  260. >Shit, even Angel is wary of flirting with him
  261. ---
  262. Here's a little flavor we could inflect the Dictator Charlie AU with.
  263.
  264. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVLrBJYGxk4
  265. -
  266. Waddya know, I got into that series on Friday, and now you post it here (as if you’d somehow read my mind).
  267. -
  268. Funny thing is that I found out about it as sort of a snowball effect from watching the Hazbin pilot. I always liked animation as much as the next guy, but I didn't see much of it outside the mainstream. Ever since I hit that thumbs up on Hazbin and Helluva I've gotten more and more independent animations showing up in my suggestions on YT, and every time I give one of them a thumbs up I get even more animation suggestions, and the "Model Citizen" and "Friendly Shadow" videos just showed up for me a day or two ago.
