The problem with using different proper terms than official subs, is may lead to viewer confusion down the line.  This already happened with Wraith/Demon, for example.

I think the proper policy should be side with official subs for proper terms, even when they're possibly wrong, misspelled, etc - just like how we retain "Puella Magi" or use the tv series episode titles from official releases instead of our own.

Anyhow, part 1 notes - specific terms or phrases:
