LIKES :

- Strawberry ice-cream; it's rumoured that he has tubs of it hidden in the fridge, but no-one's ever been able to find it.
- Winter in Seoul; he likes the chill of the weather, and he finds snow still really enamoring, due to growing up in an area where snow wasn't common.
- Spicy food; he could probably down a bottle of Tabasco sauce without blinking and then reach for the chili flakes immediately after. It's something that horrifies everyone that eats with him.
- His favourite colour is a soft green - he doesn't wear it that often though.
- Drawing and painting; his mother's job/hobby as a classical painter led him to be able to appreciate art in all of its forms. While it just so happened that the art form he adopted was music, he still loves to sketch, and he has a few tattered sketchbooks under his bed in the dorms.
- While he's not listed as a vocalist, his main musical endeavor is singing, and while he enjoys rapping, he prefers vocals. You'll often catch him humming or quietly singing to himself in the dorms or backstage as a way to keep himself focused on the task at hand.
- Summer rain, when you can spin around and dance outside without fear of catching a cold; when the skies are golden and cloudy and the streets of Giverny are empty.
- Police and detective drama's/tv shows - the more dramatic the better, as he's not exactly squeamish. On the topic of that, while he doesn't like them, he shows no reaction to horror or jump scares, whether from a film or his members.
- Milk tea; it's a bit of a comfort drink for him, as an older hyung trainee used to buy it for him from the vending machine when he was practicing late in the studios as a trainee, and it helps him to calm down and get a grip on everything as he relates it to the encouragement and calming words of the other trainee.
- He's super weak for little kids and cute fanboys, especially at fan meets and signings - his heart WILL self-combust if faced with either of these things and it's become a fandom joke that he gets super flustered and even shyer than usual.
- Seventeen stan - he would probably give up his organs for Dino and The8.
- He's a feverish reader; while he doesn't quite look the part, he's highly intelligent and has a bunch of facts stacked away, due to his father's role as a school teacher. His favourite book is 'Le Petit Prince'. Along with this, he’s also a writer, and while he doesn’t show anyone, he has a notebook in his bag stuffed full of lyrics and poetry in both French and Korean.

DISLIKES :

- When he's lost somewhere he doesn't know with anybody that he knows - this is partly related to some time he got separated from his father in Paris one time as a 7-year-old and freaked out.
- Hospitals - he's doesn't like the smell of antiseptic, and he relates them to his mother's accident. They just scare him and he doesn't like going anywhere near them.
- When people don't close the door properly and leave it open even a little bit.
- Contacts. He used to wear glasses (and he still does when there are no events) but ever since debut he's been forced to wear contacts instead. Little sacrifices, you know?
- Dogs. He doesn't have that much against them, but they're quite loud and jumpy, and they can freak him out a little bit.
- Robin is afraid of heights, and he hates being up really high.
- Hates math. He absolutely /despises/ it, and it doesn't help that he had a school teacher for a father; always trying to help him, despite the fact that Robin would rather do literally anything else.
- Pineapple on pizza. That should stay in the trash where it belongs.
- When his members purposely try to rile him up and annoy him. He doesn't hate it, it's just irritating, even if he does love them all a lot.
- Being shoved into the spotlight if he doesn't want to - while his confidence has grown over the years, he's still quite shy and can be a little out of his depth when he's the center of attention.
- Being underestimated; he's worked so hard for what he's achieved, and he doesn't like that being overlooked.
- Getting injured or sick; he hates to have to stay still and be out of commission, and he feels gross when he's sick.

BACKGROUND : Si-woo/Robin was born in Paris to his two second-generation French Korean parents (meaning that they were fully Korean, but his grandparents had moved to France and his parents had grown up there). While they lived primarily in Paris for his mothers work in art galleries, he grew up close with both of his parents, due to their jobs allowing for a lot of flexibility (his father was an accountant at the time), and he never really wanted for anything, having a happy and balanced toddlerhood in Paris. He learnt French and Korean in tandem, his parents wanting him to have an understanding of his heritage and keep their families culture alive in him (along with the fact that his grandparents, while alive, refused to speak in anything but Korean). However, when he was 4 his mother was involved in a taxi crash on her way from a gallery showing, which resulted in the paralysation of everything from her waist down. While Robin doesn't have much of a recollection of the event, (he was 4, give him a bit of a break) he does remember the significant and constant visits to the city hospital while his mother recovered and his father grieved, and the memory of his father crying over his mother in her hospital bed, while he stood in the door next to a kindly nurse, as a child confused as to what was going on.
When his mother recovered enough in order to be released from the hospital, her and Robin’s father decided to move cities, as they’d both moved past the hype of the hustle and bustle of Paris, and both wanted to chase what they were passionate about, as well as provide a better environment for Robin growing up. So they packed up their Paris apartment and moved to Giverny when Robin was 5, and his father took up a job as a schoolteacher in the local school, while his mother dedicated more time to her own artistic endeavors. Robin thrived in the relaxed environment, picking up dance classes and joining the chapel choir when he was 8, and he made friends relatively easily. Average in school, he shone in the arts, such as music, literature and history, but he struggled with maths and the sciences, to no fault of his own. Hard working and close with his parents, he was the perfect child, up until age 15, when he discovered the kpop industry in full, along with its audition process. From living in France his entire life, he had no idea about Korean music, and he was used to watching Eurovision each year instead of the Lotte family concert on TV. But as he looked deeper and got more addicted, he realised that this was somewhere where he could let loose his own personal talents like singing and music and dance, and when he was 16, he begged and pleaded with his highly amused and also concerned parents to let him attend the closest audition in the US. Somehow, they gave him the chance to go and /somehow/ he passed the audition- something none of them were expecting. But an opportunity is an opportunity and he was raised not to let them slip through his fingers - he went. While his Korean was fluent and he understood most of the customs of the country, he’d never visited, and immediately he was a fish out of water. It was at this point he became much more withdrawn; as a trainee he was training long hours with no promise of any kind of debut anywhere, and while he had some good experiences, some bad, many were neutral. So many times he debated leaving the company and the trainee system.
However, after four years of being a trainee, he was offered the chance to debut on one main occasion - he would debut in a rapper position, contrary to the years of vocal classes that he’d taken, due to the makeup of the group, and the fact that while he was a good vocalist, he actually showed a lot of promise in his rapping styles, as due to his experience with speaking French, his vocal flow was brilliant, and he was also a talented writer, allowing for flexibility and creativity in his rapping process.
He said yes; anything in order to achieve his goal; and now he’s here.

PERSONALITY : Si-woo/Robin works very hard to achieve his goals and even volunteers to stay in the practice rooms longer than everyone else so that he can perfect the choreography; he's not only determined, but he's also very hard on himself, believing that he has to live up to every expectation placed upon him. He's a very calm and composed person, with a very realistic and down to earth set of views, and he's often the resident adviser, due to his thoughtful advice and supportive encouragement. As the peacekeeper in the group, he keeps everyone in check, and is the most likely to be the one to resolve the tension between the members, due to his assertive and calm nature. He's a quiet person at heart, and can be quite shy, as he's afraid of being ridiculed, but his confidence has grown over the years, and now he's a lot more comfortable around people - he's often the group's spokesperson when their leader isn't, both as the second eldest and also due to his composed and insightful disposition.
He's a very bright person, as he's often found in a corner of the backstage preparation area with a book in his hands, and he's very open-minded to everyone, regardless of age, gender or other identifiers. His mother taught him that much. He's assertive, and knows when to put his foot down, but still is very sensitive of others in doing so; he's not one to let people get away with things . He can get flustered quite easily, especially when people act flirty with him; while he tries to keep a calm demeanor, he gets visibly nervous and ruffled. He's very sweet; no so much as their leader and a few of the maknae line, but he's very thoughtful and caring of others and is pretty chill. Robin is very adaptable to different situations, but he puts a lot of stress onto himself to be as perfect as he can be, and tries to hide it with his calm nature.
He can be quite funny when he wants to be, and he's actually quite adventurous, stemming from his childhood in France, and he's more open than you'd expect from him, since he didn't grow up in ultra-uptight Korea. He's a very good speaker, and he knows what to say at the right time, and knows when to keep quiet. He can get intimidated by others easily enough, but he'll stand up if there really is a problem. Robin is very humble and dependable, and it’s shown through the ways that he cares for his members, the staff, and his fans, and never considers himself as above anybody for any reason.

STAGE PERSONA : Onstage, he gives off a boyish charm, youthful and while quiet, he’s popular with fans due to his friendly interactions and good nature on and offstage. While he’s listed as a visual and rapper, he doesn’t quite suit the stereotypes associated with either of the positions, instead opting for a quietly confident persona often adopted by vocalists. He’s not a standout in the group, assuming more of a support role for the others, but he’s always consistent and stable in his performances, and when he outdoes himself he /outdoes himself/. He’s got a small but loyal fan group, and people with him as a bias will probably never change.

OFFSTAGE PERSONA : Offstage, Robin has a much more reserved personality compared to his onstage one- he’s much quieter and shyer, and isn’t as outgoing, preferring not to be as loud as others and stay to the side; he’s very dependable however, and as the groups peacekeeper, he’s involved with everything that happens in the group whether he likes it or not. He cares a lot for the members and is very hard working, spending a lot of time trying to perfect his performances and onstage confidence.

FAN SERVICE : He’s pretty happy to comply with fans requests, even if he does get super embarrassed when asked to show off his body in any way. The other members like to tease him about the fact that ‘he’s a visual, he should show it off more!’ but there’s no actual heat in their words, and he knows it. The few times that he’s been asked to do aegeo were not lost on the fans, and he gets asked to do it a lot more often, to the hilarity of everyone involved. He’s gained much more confidence though, and he’s much less embarrassed when asked to show off to fans in a sexy way.
