  1. Very long ago, when the gods walked amongst man, Alron was worshiped with his twin sister, Tarnathwen, and shared the portfolio of beauty, arts, and love. However, when Rhysvial lost his way, he kidnapped Alron, subjecting him to torture so appalling that his mind warped and twisted into a completely different being.
  2.
  3. Now, Alron possesses quite possibly the sickest and evil minds in the multiverse. His position as the god of pain is well-deserved, and he has been the root of countless atrocities committed throughout time.
  4.
  5. Spheres of Influence: Pain. However, Tarnathwen's worshipers associate him with envy and loss.
  6.
  7. Symbol: Three skulls connected through a barbed chain.
  8.
  9.
  10. Depiction: A giant man with tight-fitting leather that exposes his bleeding wounds. Hooked chains and small cages dangle from the exposed ribs, with his innards removed to reveal an empty cavity. He wears a bloodied blindfold, and is often depicted with his weapon, Deathbringer.
  11.
  12. Month: Alron's month is Alros, and is the first month of winter.
  13.
  14. Ruler of Gehenna: The Valley of Gehenna was ruled by Alron shortly after his fall from grace. When Belial had seen his crimes, he felt that the young god deserved to be punished. Representing the pantheon, Aletrod struck a deal to exile Alron to the plane of Gehenna instead of confine him to hell, banning his access from Erilen for as long as the sun hung in the sky.
  15.
  16. Notable Relations
  17.
  18. Tarnathwen(Sister): The conflict between Tarnathwen and Alron is outright legendary. The two are locked in constant strife, which is shown both through their clergy and themselves.
  19.
  20. Sylvannas(Mother): Though not nearly as intense as the rivalry he has with his sister, Alron and Sylvannas clash quite often.
  21.
  22. Rhysvial: Alron has a very special hate for Rhysvial. Despite being changed into the hideous god he is now, Alron still has fond memories of the tortures he's endured, wishes to one day release The Worldbreaker from his prison so that he may enact vengeance.
  23.
  24.
  25. Churches and Clergy
  26.
  27. Worshipers of Alron pride themselves in their ability to both inflict and withstand massive amounts of pain. While their clergy is often stereotyped to be full of sadistic savages, the Alroan faith is typically organized in a clearly defined hierarchy, based upon the physical power, endurance, and ability to endure pain.
  28.
  29. There is no centralized Alroan church. Instead, worshipers and clergies can be found throughout the world in small sects or shrines, or as individual people. A common stereotype that sprung from Almura is for a noble house to secretly host dark rituals, kidnapping peasants or civilians for their perverse needs.

  39.
  40.

  44.
  45. Clergy of Alron prefer weapons designed to draw out pain, such as holy water sprinklers, whips, barbed chains, and hooks.
  46.

  48. Rituals
  49.
  50.
  51. Torment's Embrace: A faithful Alroan worshiper is selected and pampered for three days. They are given whatever they please, and on the final day, after having all limbs and non-vital organs removed, are appointed as the faith's 'Embraced'; a seer and torture toy for the rest of their life.
  52.
  53. Seers are taken to torture rooms, where they make predictions and omens from the screaming of kidnapped victims.
