Hybrid Dragons

Dragons are a creature of vast power, often much more fearsome than anything else at their specific tiers of existence, with far higher potential ratings for the magical and physical than many other species. Add to that the share bulk, racial memory, and powerful weaponry which they are born with, dragons represent the very apex of monsterkind.

But unlike any other species of monster, they have been noted never to simply spawn into existence, always being the products of either breeding or evolution. As such while dragons themselves are rare creatures, their hybrid spawn are infact to a certain extent more common than the actual creatures, as many lines of draconic hybrids breed true themselves.

One such line would be the Draconians, massive humanoids with the heads of dragons, scaled bodies and wide reaching wings. Draconians are powerful beasts, obtaining strong ever enhancing scales from their draconic parent, and a breath weapon which mimics that of the draconic parent as well. The most common of which is the Flame breath of the famed Wyrm of Yesslir, who kidnapped female adventurers from all over the country for its monstrous harem, breeding a generation of Draconic spawn and continually expanding its grasp upon the country. Thankfully dragon being solitary types, eventually saw him and his brood come to blows over some of their conquests; the entire dungeon self-destructing in an orgy of violence which remains legend to this day. Even now the Son’s of Isthilataltas still worship shrines of Uldir over his corpse’s remains, while the scattered true dragons which were his sons and daughters spread out to plague various areas across the lands, leaving behind a legacy of ruin... and a tale of caution about allowing such powerful monsters time to build up their forces for any reason at all.
