- I decided to submit Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land to SGDQ of the 3 games I was iffy on. It has a bid war and a donation incentive going for it. Plus it's a great and fun speedrun I wouldn't mind doing in front of thousands of people. Also if anyone else is submitting this and wants to offer it as a race, I'm down for that too. Pinobee I'd submit purely for the Silly Games Done Quick block, but if that got in and only that, I'd feel bad because I submitted 4 other games I spent a lot of time on and really like and care more about. Yoshi's Island DS is also very new to me as a run and it could be improved a lot still, so I don't want to submit that right now.
- SGDQ 2016 submissions start in 2 weeks, but realistically I'l probably submit my stuff on the last day, so I have 3 weeks to get better runs. All my submissions again will be Kirby Super Star Ultra 100%, Super Mario 64 DS 80 Star, Star Fox Assault Bronze Any%, 007 Agent Under Fire Operative, and Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land Any%/100%. Here's my goals for now:
- - At least a 1:25 in SM64DS 80 Star. Would like to go lower if possible, but I feel like getting to this mark would be realistic and attainable for now. I had a run that was low 1:24 pace before and my PB's a low 1:27, so yeah.
- - Beating my Kirby Super Star Ultra PB. This run is harder than people might give it credit for and with the 2 minute time save of the Japanese version, it should be a bit easier now. Plus the game is fun and I need to play it more anyways before Californithon because I have it in there.
- - Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land would also be nice to improve a bit if I have the time to do so. If not that's fine too.
- Going to my 2nd "big" Smash Wii U tournament this weekend. Genesis 3 in San Jose was my 1st major one, but this one has a few bigger names in it like EE and Keitaro so I'm considering it a "big" tournament. Outside of the weeklies I did at a local college for a few months, I haven't really been to many Smash tournaments, so it should be a good time. Hoping to meet some cool people there too since idk a lot of people in my region. I'm going to go with my boy Toon Link for a lot of it, but if I get knocked into Losers early I'll switch to either my Corrin or my Fox at some point. Feeling more confident in my Corrin though of my secondaries. I've been playing a lot lately and I might actually stream Smash sometime this week in prep for it too. Here's the details on this thing: https://smash.gg/tournament/2ggt-ee-saga-1/details
- Have a nice day everyone :>
