- I've been really really lazy in writing this, and it's been so long I forgot what all I wanted to go over. A little in the way of stream plans maybe? Wanted to include ESA shoutouts...then a little plug for a cool game a friend of mine made in a literal weekend game-making challenge.
- [ Awesome lil game if you have a spare few minutes made by twitch.tv/oxysofts in a 2-3 day game development challenge:
- I think for now I want to go for the record in Spyro 1 any%. But I'm not even sure of that. It will be a long, long adjustment process if so. I haven't played Spyro 1 where I /DON'T/ have to go back for a missed gem in over 2 years. It will be entirely different. Plus I don't have the any% routes committed to memory now whatsoever, only 120%. I just want to play some video games as it's now been about 2 weeks since I touched anything (since getting 1:22:43 120% ^^).
- Other things that may be on the table... 14 tali... dunno what else

- ESA shoutouts:
- (Pretty much all were done in the first week back home, just been lazy making this pastebin. randomized listing order. I'm really sorry if I forgot you ;_; )
- PowderedMilk
- MURRICA! FUCKYEA. I don't know if you ended up with the best Quick n Crash (or w/e it's called) time, but I know you were up there. Thanks for bein' a pal and chillin' like a villain. Hope you had a good time, just don't chip anyone else's teeth, boi x_x
- Tyzerra:
- My dude....You've gotta be one of my top picks for like... community mvp. There was at least one moment where we were headed out somewhere and everyone kinda looked to you for what the plan was. You called us out, jesting, "What am I, the leader?" (or whatever; that paraphrasing loses some humor value I feel like). Deja-vu lowkey hit me, since I'm sure that happened at AGDQ'16 too at least once. I think a lot of us simply look up to you, not even gonna lie. Just promise me you'll keep bein' JOHN tyzerra, pal. Thanks for lending a hand in s2 commentary!
- Pull
- What the frick, you're exactly like you are online lol. Just didn't know that level of dry humor and wit could actually exist in a real world setting. You are the greatest. Even though I wasn't there for it, I happened upon your Crash dance randomly browsing someone's Twitter. Pretty fantastic.
- Bensaunders
- This dude's comedy definitely carries past the interwebs. Always something funny to say or, to my understanding, some shi-poopy to toss onto discord. gg super cool to have met THE BenSaunders.. from early days here in the chatteroos.
- Stuart0000
- Wow, speedrunning legend Stuart. You youngins, swear to god. I'm an old fart, can't help but be envious when people are that cool already. I wasn't that cool at 18. :'(. Damn good on the skateboard, and I really felt like you took time to show me a few things and explain stuff. Gj getting some time trials #opportunist when the proper hardware's right there (why not?!) and bruh, the Spaced leaderboard. xdee
- Noizeeh
- I really wanted to see more of ya, but at least we got to chill for a little while. Nice kickflip, AND YES I DID DO AN OLLIE BEFORE LEAVING ESA! Nailed at least a few good ones, even if it was mostly on the mat in b-hall (ez mode). Kreygasm /
- Bensagram
- What a fricken badass seriously. All you Finns. Dammit I'm a finnboy fanboy. I was so blown away at how awesome you are sir, since literally all I had to go off of was "hey" in my chat usually :p. I seriously can't describe the level of respect I felt for you. You and Stu served as further inspiration for skateboarding. Cheers & gz being bash champ w/ Newan
- MartinForslund
- I'll keep it brief here because otherwise I'll be writing a actual novel. Thanks so much for all your help: driving, housing me. It was so fun getting to chill with you as much as we did. I'll never forget this trip, and you're a big part of why it was so memorable. You are truly the HOME BOY, bro! Love ya boomStoneD boomStoneD
- Thextera
- Dis nigga ♥. You get a spot on the "didn't know you would be there, but holy fuck you're an awesome human being" list. I really didn't keep good track of who was attending, and I'm glad to have had so many surprise meet-ups for that reason. One of the many who did an ollie on my board (I seriously couldn't even keep track who all did), so you won me over already :smirk:. Keep beastin' on that Rayman, dude--OH SHIT EXPLODING KITTEN
- MartyrrSenpai:
- Awesome of you to make it out all the way from Australia. Not to mention 2 years in a row. Mad respect for that alone. Part of me had a hard time remembering those I had seen before at GDQs and those I hadn't, which I guess just means everybody's like fricken family. I think this was our first time meeting. Thanks for commentating my sprodos. The morning we caught the Espresso House with Martin was super chill. (Wait, were we actually up in the AM that day?...)
- MrShasta
- We very briefly met at I think AGDQ'16, but AYYY, we actually got to hang out a lot this time around. You're super nice and it was so dope to be able to roll with ya. Dem supermarket trips. Grats on twitch-partner recently, and good shit on being in the TRIPLE MARATHON RUNS club. LaterSooner b
- Mergy
- Oh my goodness gracious. Mergy, here you go leading me on to believe you were a pretty cool dude, and I was y'know, 4 out of 5 stars excited to get to meet you. Little did I know you're actually the coolest motherfucker on the planet. And the time we got to chill together was phenomenal, unforgettable! Like, as a person, you utterly exceeded my expectations. That almost sounds like it could either be taken as an insult or a compliment lol but I only mean that positively. (Shit pretty much everyone exceeded, for that matter.) you're just the greatest. Thanks 4 bein' a homie. Thanks for the beers and the good times.
- Neviutz
- What an honor, for real. It was like getting to meet a childhood hero. Even though I was already an adult when you were my hero. lol. You were seriously one of the coolest to hang around with, my friend! I'm so glad you stopped me in b-hall that day. Fuck me for not recognizing you lmao! Still reppin' that short sleeved hoodie I trust? Take care buddy ^_^
- Smartkin
- Our one Russian buddy. (Swear to god, I've never really heard of any other Russian speedrunners.) You were way cool. We might not have talked quite as much, but it was a pleasure to hang with you. I feel like anyone who was there for the skatepark / football(soccer) with us that first night shared a pseudo-special bond, so. It was great. Nice Twinsanity resets Kappa
- SuccinctAndPunchy
- *Runs up from behind and yells right in your ear*!!! Got 'em. jk. Ayy most people seemed to know you better than I did, but it's always dope to have another person floating around the group. You have a damn good sense of humor and I couldn't help but chuckle after most sentiments you elucidated on. Stay fresh, dog
- Mikl/thmcs
- THIS DUDE'S MAH GUY. I know I've never really been in your stream much and I feel kinda lame for that, but SHIT it was a pleasure hanging out with you a bunch. Seeing you and Shasta in the parking lot when we first arrived was like that first "holy shit, I'm here, and I'm about to spend a week among all these insanely amazing people" feeling. Much love~
- Jack/Jacques
- My guy. Hell yeah. I was stoked when someone mentioned you were going to be in attendance that first evening. Then when we were walking along and saw you and Jazzy closer to downtown, it was funny... at first I didn't recognize either of you from afar, and my thought was, "Damn, look at these ballers." doing cool shenanigans with that ball. Thanks so much for stepping up on commentary for crap 3.. and looking at me funny when I entered the bonus, 'cause honestly I don't think I ever would've realized I'd done anything wrong, rofl. You really struck me as a "proper Englishman" or whatever, like shit, so polite, smart, articulate. Hahaha. deuces, mang
- Hiipfire
- What do you get when you mix Halo and Windows Calculator!? Sprash? I dig it; it was fun hanging out with you!
- Geurge
- Thanks for drinkin' with us, and gj trying to ride my skateboard while partially impaired LOL. At first I thought you were Ion from behind when I was watching you play a game on one of the first nights; that's hilarious. Nope, just another cool mofo that plays odd games.
- Nattyo
- I feel the need to write out an entire essay of the ins and outs of my job at Jimmy John's. Drunk-You seemed incredibly interested lool. God damn you're a riot. I'm still trying to figure out if you were already alcomohol'ing for your CTR commentary during the marathon; but I think I know the answer. 1 year subscriber #neverforget
- Airmo
- I've got nothin' but love for you, brotha. You are one of the friendliest people I've ever met. I regret not being able to spend more time with you. Our interactions were brief, but believe me I really do appreciate having seen you again buddy! <3
- Congruence
- I didn't know you too well but, hey, it was a pleasure. Amazing hexagon run thing; I was nothing short of MEZMERIZED. Did you guys ever beat that one dickhead of a game with the impossible/frame perfect jumping? lul
- Jazzy
- Fuckin' love this guy. Chillest boyz. You were one of the guys I was most psyched to meet, one of the few I actually KNEW was coming since I didn't "do my homework" and know who exactly all was gonna be there, sort of preferred the surprises. Jam session hype. Caught food with you a bunch and got to hang a bunch, it was just an honor. Impressive ballin' and music skills. Much love your way LilZ /
- mash112
- Who is this dude and why did I not know you before?! Fuckin' amazing person. My first impression of you was when you sang that Alicia Keys song very passionately to your friend. I was smiling so hard and couldn't look away, that was way funny. Mafia + jam session, so good. Your personality soars above with the sky, man. I don't even know what that means but it sounded good. Keep it real
- Sersanju & Lagpu
- The Spanish crew just seems so friendly and awesome <3 <3 would've liked to meet more Spanish peeps. You guys rock. Super fun meeting you :D
- DasGetraenk & Strife
- Ayy you can tell how lazy I'm getting by grouping people together. But y'know, same group (mergycrew OpieOP). I knew Getraenk pretty well from online. Didn't know Strife. That's the beauty of these events. You were both fuckin' awesome. Thanks for the laughs, the drinks. Chillin', racing FM, listening to music, doing whatever. Keep it real dudes.
- Brormanis
- You're that guy that everyone needs in a group. Super humanitarian, caring, a great friend with a heart of gold. We might not have necessarily spoken a shit ton, but that's what I gather from speaking with you, and I don't think I'm wrong. Hope that cruise back was enjoyable, homes. B R O R M A N I S
- Pac__
- HEY PAC -QUESTION ABOUT SRCOM- -QUESTION ABOUT THIS- -QUESTION ABOUT THAT- -QUESTION ABOUT ESA-. Poor guy can't have just a relaxing week. *comment about your voice* (oh shit that was me too). If I had my druthers I would've chilled with you but it was nice to say hi haha!
- ThatOneNewTagerPlayer
- Another FM racer! I've seen your name a bunch mostly in gfc's chat I think. It was cool to put face to name. Martin tells me you two realized you live about 10 mins away from each other. Unbelievable!
- Whit_Send
- Whit <3 One of my fonder memories of AGDQ'16 was the night you, me, April, and Ty went to estarland or whatever, then caught some pizza, smoothies. You almost killed us all on the freeway bahahaha. I woulda done the same. Fuck driving in a completely unfamiliar setting, at night. It was a blast seeing you again, and this time in Sweden, sir. Who'd'a thought. I was like, wtf Whit's here?! Great run and great showing for the marathon :D. Got me pretty excited for that Croc game a' yours. I'll have to stop by and check out some runs if I catch you streamin' it.
- ESGPuppetMaster
- NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO why couldn't you have come earlier than Thursday CriHard. I love you seriously. no homo. wait maybe. EsgGayOgre. Jam session homie. It was great spending time with ya, even though it was limited. We got to chat a bit, play some tunes. SlickVick :ok_hand:
- 5mon
- Super quiet, peaceful dude. You looked to be enjoying things on a lower energy type level, which I can totally get down to. Aaaaall 5 of the mons. It was nice meeting you :)
- Shirdel
- SHIRDEL "I didn't even break a sweat" TURTLE. I told you straight up during the event, but again, you're a natural on host/commentary type talk, thanks for hosting during my shizz. It was really fun getting to chill with ya. I still gotta check out your Tekken vod, but you seemed really really pleased with how it went, so gg on it!
- iiSalad
- Wish I woulda seen more of this guy, but it was super cool bumping into ya here and there. Friendly and down to earth. rock on, mane. Hope you've felt better about your run since then: indeed, we are our own worst critics. Seemed like everybody else found it an absolute joy :D
- GarfieldtheLightning
- One of the nicest dudes I met this week, I swear. Thanks for co-hosting for Spyro :D. and gj helping Martin finish our Bash run when I ragequit lol. iirc your Pokem' run ended up really sick, so good stuff on that. All of the thumbs up @ you sir, seriously, dope meeting you
- Ricky/ThaRixer
- I have a world of respect with your name on it. Fricken love ya, Ricky. Goes without saying it was phenomenal seeing you again and getting to hang out with you more than I feel we did at agdq16. That game of mafia tho; jesus some of you were hard to read/follow. I was a little surprised to hear you don't drink! -- the darkside will ensnare you some day! Drunk Ricky would be a riot I'm sure. Aaaaanyway I know I didn't really like hearing that crap before I had ever alcohol'd so I'll put a CAN in it. heh. Keep it fRicky fresh bro, word up. BoomerLater
- ACareBox
- Another FM memer Kappa but you didn't even join the race! How dare you be sane. Hey it was really nice of you to introduce yourself, and it was a pleasure meeting you. Few people make me feel short, but you're one of them. You seemed like a bubbly, carefree kinda guy, wish we hung out more ^^
- SevenS1ns
- I didn't know you too well, but that's the beauty of bumping into people at random in a pizza shop and makin' a new friend. You turned out to be such a great guy. Seriously what a homie. I'm glad we got to hang a little and continually bumped into each other loads of times throughout the week. I think I left your biscuits/cookies that you gave me for the trip home. T_T but thank you again!
- Zibang
- arang. I swear to god more reason for me to believe everyone from Finland is gozu. When you have something to say you say it very assuredly and affirmatively. I dig it. It was fun having you on my mini golf team and complaining about "video" games while playing an irl game lol. "Fricken video games" @ a missed putt.
- Newantox
- For someone I've jokingly called "Newantoxic" before you're anything but. Super down to earth, genuine kinda dude. Seriously enjoyed your company each and every time. When you've achieved all the world records in Spyro 2 I'll be able to say I knew him when. OneHand
- /edit:
- ENSGMaster
- WTF!! >.< So mad at myself I forgot to shout you out. Seriously, we hung out a ton; guess my memory is too awful. But wow it was a pleasure! It was cool to watch you run some Dark Souls and Rayman in person B). Nice to golf with you even if you got left behind after being the first to sit around and wait lool. Sometimes your luck is just rotten. But then again you won the FM race. ... But hey all around it was great to enjoy your company & talk with you. I know English isn't common in France, but your English was perfectly up to speed. Cheers buddy.
