  1. Emperor had been bed bound since the incident took place in the suite just a day prior. Ankha had sent a swift notice out to summon Arushwin to the Emperor's chambers. While stabilizing care had been administered by his wife to ensure he was out of critical state. A rush job of some bandages wrapped around his waist and shoulder area. Stained now with blood. There were some large lacerations to his back from falling stones...and large bruising underneath all the lengthy black pelt. A surging pain on his left side where there was angry swelling...the indication of broken ribs. The body was older now and it was harder for the mastiff to control it's natural detorition and healing took much more energy. As well as simply keeping the body in good health to live even longer required a lot of chi resources. It was exhausting even though the Imperial hardly ever let on to its incredible strain and burden. Emperor could vaguely hear the door as it creaked open. Peeling his eyes open slowly to look at the arrival. The color of them dim with blood shot look around the edges of the sclera. "My wife is concerned...It is nothing to be worried about." And as he attempted to side up he winced heavily grabbing his side and groaning.
  2.
  3. Arushwin had been out of his rooms when the incident happened, having been out picking herbs. And when he got the news from a runner he did rush to return to his rooms, but didn't rush mindlessly to snatch things up he might need. he was methodical, collecting everything he indeed might need, but taking care to checklist so he didn't waste time needing to call someone to get something he forgot or return himself. Though he knew he might get in trouble for not rushing to the emperors side, he felt it was better to do a good job rather then a rushed one. After knocking and entering the room he gives a faint smile to the prone form on the bed. He wore simple green and brown clothing ment for travel as he hadn't wasted time changing his clothing. In his hand was his usual medical bag, the other held an additional box by a handle. Moving to the side of the bed he gives a slight bow as he placed the items on the floor. "ShengShang, let me tend to you. If a Healer can not heal, what use are they?" He mutters softly. If it were anyone else he would get down to business even if it meant strapping the patient down just to get the job done quickly. But he dared not use such force on the Emperor. Least not when he was in a decent enough state of mind to speak as he was now. he was obviously not on deaths door so no need to force anything. he waited for a go head from the other male before he dared put his hands on him.
  4.
  5. Baiza had been working for Ankha out in the Tether, when the confrontation with the Emperor's now ex-general occured. This didn't have much to do with the Kirin and she saw fit to stay out of it. Freedom allowed her to pick and choose her battles. The duty for today was making sure Arushwin tended to the Emperor and to help in whatever way necessary. No doubt she'd be the verbal or physical punching bag for the Mastiff, if there was any pain or anger needing to be released. It was rare to see any sort of special abilities by the Dynasty's Generals to Retainers, so this would be a good opportunity. The albino would take up post at the end of the bed, lips pressed in a hard line, while Arushwin prepared to tend to the beat up male. There was a just a tad of inward pleasure seeing the mastiff in such a state, but she would keep thoughts and feelings trapped inside! "Arushwin, speak up if you need me to help or fetch something for you," she muttered, right golden hoof giving a light thump on the floor. "My emperor, I am here for you," spoken with a light smile, awaiting any request or command that came from either one of them. For now, she would just be there to make sure Arushwin's healing went off without a hitch.
  6.
  7. Emperor breathed heavily for a moment as the adjustment to sitting came with the surges of pain through his back and shoulder. "Have you been properly updated to what transpired?" Loosely speaking to the both of them but looking more towards the deer as he got his supplies ready to assist him. "If you aren't yet aware..." As he assumed perhaps they hadn't gotten the whole story. "Aiyue's father broke into the throne room and tried to take her away. One of the heavy stone dragon columns was clobbered over top of me. With the assistance of Ankha we were able to bring him down." Pointing to the areas of most damage. Gesturing to his back, shoulder, and side. "These are the most sore." Very straightforward as he nodded towards Arushwin so he may begin. Eyes shifted over towards Baiza briefly. It was not often others were allowed into the sanctum of his bed chambers. This made him uncomfortable. "A tea perhaps if the doctor allows." He was not usually one to submit to the advice of another but in this case he would make sure the tea wouldn't be a hindrance to his recovery. He was also usually not so welcoming though he was tired and didn't have much energy to spend on arguing.
  8.
  9. Arushwin pauses a moment to glance toward Baiza when she spoke, though only when she spoke his name. Registering her words he nods slightly, and without much hesitation he responds simply. "Hot water. A basin of it and perhaps a pitcher." A pause, about to add something more when the Emperor spoke up. He listened, nodding with a thoughtful frown as he took in the injuries he could see.. and the obvious pain the other male was in. He nods when tea was mentioned, the very subject he was considering speaking of. "Tea would not hurt. Bring a pot with additional hot water so i can make tea from some of the medical herbs. I am sure it would be better then eating mixed herbal paste." A very very mild teasing joke perhaps directed at the emperor himself. Though one couldn't really tell by his tone or expression. Moving his attention to the box he would turn it a little to reveal drawers.. opening a few of the small things revealed threads, needles,.. another revealed leaves or other petals. A pause before he turned to get a pair of scissors from the medical back. "First I need to remove the bandages to get a good look at the damage." And wait for the water so he could clean them properly before tending to them further. If no objections were made he would move to do just that, cut away and remove the bandages from the other. "No broken bones that you are aware of Shengshang?" He hid his concern decent enough. few would be able to see it.
  10.
  11. Baiza only heard some rumblings about what happened in the throne room, figuring she'd be thoroughly informed when the time was right - which was now. Brows furrowed, blood red eyes narrowing as the excitement from the day prior spilled from the Emperor. Someone had the audacity to break into the throne room, it made her blood boil thinking about it. "I am glad that you and the Empress are alright...," her voice trailed off, completely mystified by the thought of either one of them being potentially killed. Even though she was free, the Dynasty was the closest thing to a family she had now. Ears dipped back into fair hair with a nod, not wasting any time in acquiring the pitcher of hot water, only to stop at the door hearing that tea would need to be brewed, "I'll return swiftly." A small wooden cart would be used to transport the heavy pitcher of warm water and tea kettle with a couple cups, as well as a small bowl for the healer to crush whatever herbs needed for the medicinal tea. Once back in the Emperor's private chambers, she'd hoist up the pitcher first and slowly move up the stairs, which were entirely inconvenient! She would be getting her workout in today. A large table would be pushed closer to the healer, lifting pitcher up onto it before heading back down the stairs to gather up everything tea related, taking a couple trips in the process. "I hope these will be satisfactory," a deep sigh, right hand reaching up to wipe sweat off her forehead. This is what she got for taking her good genes for granted. Post at the end of the bed would be taken, awaiting anything else that was needed.
  12.
  13. Emperor nodded towards the Attendant to allow him to start cutting away at the bandages. "Unfortunately..." He stated with a grumble. Had Aiyue had told them about the dangers of her father's potential visit be might have been more prepared. His eyes narrowed at the thought and a low growl began to rumble within his chest. "The ribs are broken...at least a few of them." Explaining as he tried to lift his arm to move it in a testing fashion. Feeling the fractures moving strangely with the breathing of his diaphragm. "Also the shoulder...though I don't believe it is broken." As the stained bandages fell away to reveal the matted fur and caked dry blood underneath. The wounds still oozing slightly, entangling with the lengthy fur. "Don't you shave my fur..." There was a warning of what he wasn't comfortable with. As he knew that would have been the easiest solution..but he would refuse it. Leaving Arushwin the very intricate job of having to part the fur instead to get down to the cuts that lay beneath the shaggy bushels. "After you are finished with me...the consort Aiyue will need tending to. There are some tests that need to be run." He spoke dryly...He did not particularly like the topic. Eyes roaming to Baiza as she left and then returned sometime after and set the water for the Faer. "When you have a moment...if you can go find Aiyue. She's been quartered inside the slave chambers. Tell her to get herself ready to be seen by the doctor." He snorted in his displeasure. -e-
  14.
  15. Arushwin frowns some as he worked, but the conflicts that happened outside his own speciality wasn't something he would stress about. It wasn't his job to protect or fight. He was meant to deal with the aftermath. He lightly grasps Emperors arm when he tried to move to test his ribs, a firm but cautious attempt to stop him. "Be careful.. a rib might puncture a lung." When the pitcher was brought in he reached into his bag for a rag, then moved over to the table, giving Baiza a nod of thanks as he poured some of the heated water into the basin. Dipping the rag in and wringing it out he moved back to start cleaning the wounds. Hearing the warning he felt his lips twitch slightly, an almost smile. "There is no need for that Shengshang. The wounds aren't nearly that deep or ragged. I can easily tend to them without such actions." He didn't rush, focused entirely on his task. It took time, but he would meticulously make sure the other male was clean, his fur blood free.. and parting the fur to stay out of his way was made easier when the fur was wet from being washed. Once one area was cleaned and prepared, he reached for a salve to gently apply to the damaged area. The effect would be felt quickly enough. It not only prevented infection and sanitized the wound, but it also caused a numbing effect that eased the pain in the area. Taking that moment to shift focus for a minute he set the rag back in the basin and turned to his box of herbs to mix something into a tea for the Emperor. "I have applied some simple pain relief for the wounds, but it will not effect the pain in the ribs. Would you like some tea to ease that pain Shengshang?" He had other herbs to entirely remove the pain, but such was a bad idea when it came to ribs as the emperor wouldn't be able to feel the danger before a lung was damaged. So he didn't even mention it. When he was told someone else needed to be looked at as well he nodded. "Yes, Shengshang. I will need to know what tests you wish for when I am finished here." If Emperor decided on the pain relieving tea he would make it, otherwise he would go about stitching up the flesh wounds he had just cleaned and medicated.
  16.
  17. Baiza listened to the various wounds the Emperor had, feeling a little bit of pity. The connection she had with the Mastiff and Empress was a bit rocky, but Feng was the one that really cemented her staying to support the Dynasty. It had been a while, since she saw the heir and mind did wander in worry, hopefully he wasn't getting into trouble like his father! A questioning look crossed her face hearing that Aiyue would need to have some tests taken, but she kept from nosing into the fellow kirin's business. "As you wish, my Emperor," she cooed out, giving him a deep bow before heading in the direction of the slaves quarters. What an odd place for a concubine to be staying. Golden hooves clopped softly down the halls, memories rolling through her head as these used to be her chambers. Once at the concubine's door, she'd give a few taps, "Lady Aiyue, it's Baiza. The Emperor requests that you prepare to be seen by the doctor, Arushwin." The assistant would linger by the door, waiting for the blue kirin to open it, "I can help you, if you need it." Not sure, if the concubine had been injured or not. Her job was to bring her fellow Dynasty member back to the Emperor's chambers, so she'd wait. If there was any sign of injury on the kirin, a look of concern would touch facial features, "I'm here if you want to talk about it." Not wishing to be too invasive and would start leading the way, if there was nothing holding them back.<e>
  18.
  19. Aiyue: had been sitting on her bed since her father had shown up suddenly and nearly killed Emperor. She was distraught with herself and what had happened; she was angry with her father for being the way he was. But she was eternally grateful to Ankha for dealing with him the way she had. Now it was time to deal with the aftermath of what he had done to her... The creature that was possibly growing inside her was something that she did not want to exist; something that she did not want to bring into this world. When she heard Baiza call for her, Aiyue looked up and nodded. "I was expecting this." She muttered to herself mostly. The Kirin stood up and brushed out the wrinkles of her hanfu while taking in some deep calming breaths before walking toward the assistant. "You look very nice today." She smiled softly to the other woman. The young Kirin wasn't sure what to expect with this visit to the doctor. When Baiza offered to talk about what had happened, Aiyue felt a sudden lump in her throat; "My father was not a good man behind closed doors. He let that show to The Emperor and he and the Empress did what they had to do. Now, my fate is on the line after my sister tried so hard to secure that I be free of my father's hand and evilness." The Kirin spoke somberly as the pair walked to Emperor's chambers. "What of his mood? Does he seem very angry with me?" Aiyue was truly dreading walking into that room, but she knew that it had to be done.
  20.
  21. Emperor snapped his eyes to the medic for a moment as his arm was gripped. The thick sag of jowls weighing upon his face as if to say -How dare you tell me what to do- but he gingerly allowed the limb to be placed back down at his side and would keep it there. A silent agreement to the man as he continued his work. Closing his eyes for a moment as the warm cloth passed over the fur. Rinsing away the debris and blood from the fight. A soft murmur leaving his lips after the soothing salves was applied. "Yes I will have the tea then. The pain is nothing." He assured. "Though I would rather not feel it." He was a tough old boy and he wasn't one to cry or whine about it...but it didn't mean he wanted to or liked the feeling that came from pain. He enjoyed inflicting it not receiving it. Taking the cup to sip over whenever it was prepared. "Will the ribs you think mend on their own? Or will they need setting?" Emperor would ask curious how long this process would take..as he simply wished to go back to sleep at this point. Though there was still the subject of the consort to deal with and so this irritated him that he would not be getting his sleep until it was dealt with. Dipping his head towards Baiza as she went to collect the woman from her room. While she was gone he would let the doctor in on the matters. "There were unsavoury events between the consort and her father...before she had come to be a part of my house. Do you understand the gravity of the tests that are needed?" His frown only further deepening. Knowing the possibility of the woman bearing a child that would not be of his bloodlines...furthermore her coming to his household had brought the wrath of his retired General in which had forced him to kill an old friend. To say she was not in good standing with him would be an understatement. -e-
  22.
  23. Arushwin paid little attention to Baiza as she left, focused entirely on his task in tending to Emperor. The tea he made would help ease the pain but not get rid of it. As for tending to the ribs themselves he frowned in thought, pausing briefly in his stitching.. something the other male couldn't feel thanks to the salve.. before continuing on. Only when he was finished carefully stitching one of the wounds did he speak again, able to shift his focus a little. "I can perhaps set the ribs when I am done with everything else. I believe I can partially heal them, though.... Shengshang... I can give you something to remove the pain entirely, but I fear you would not feel it if one of the ribs broke again and punctured a lung. What I can do would be enough to be help.. but it would be similar to a cracked rib instead of broken. You would need to be easy and feel it if to much pressure was placed on them before they heal fully." he sits back then, inspecting the other for more spots he might need to wash and stitch up. Leaving the hardest and more draining task til after he was finished with the easy things. Though when the unsavory topic was mentioned he lowered his gaze and thought, speaking up a minute later. "I believe I know what tests you wish me to do. But if it is... What do you wish for me to do if it is positive?" He turns to look through his box of herbs and such, partially for just something to do with his hands while he talks.
  24.
  25. Baiza gave a half smile to Aiyue after the compliment, gaze drifting over the young kirin and not noticing anything unusual. Mind wandered, while being informed about the poor woman's terrible upbringing, trying to remember her own. Hundreds of years had passed, since she'd seen her family and they were ghosts. It was a shame that this young kirin's memories would be haunted. "I hope you can find safety and comfort here now. I am sorry you've been through what I assume is hell," a murmur, as one hand lifted to give a light squeeze to the kirin's shoulder. "He is a little grumpy, but I think that has to do with the pain he is currently experiencing," her head turned to gaze at the concubine. "I don't know your situation, I just know that the Emperor and Empress are merciful. I know we are not close, but know that I am an open ear. I'm far older than I appear and I do have a bit of wisdom," she nodded lightly before opening the door to the private chambers. "My Emperor, Lady Aiyue is here. Let me know if there's anything else I may do for you," another deep bow, then she'd move to her post and watch Arushwin with obvious curiosity. There were abilities that the kirin was capable of that had not yet been unlocked.
  26.
  27. Aiyue nodded as Baiza told her of Emperor's mood, and multiplied that by at least five in her imagination. If he was truly anything like the stories her father had told her and her siblings growing up, she was not going to enjoy this meeting at all. She bowed low when the pair entered the room, "You wished to see me, oh Great One?" She kept her eyes averted from the large mastiff, as looking at him would probably cause her burst into tears and she was not about to cry in front of the doctor unless she got an answer she did not want to hear about her suspected condition. Orange eyes looked at the other man in the room and again, she bowed. "You must be the doctor. Where would you like me to do for this... exam?" Her attention snapped to Baiza for a moment; would Emperor allow her to hold the other woman's hand while the doctor examined her? Aiyue wasn't sure where her sister had been or she would have asked her to come with them. But she also knew that one day, if Emperor was going to allow her to stay, he would surely have Diayu marry an ally to secure something that he'd had his eye on. It was the natural order of things when one was in the custody of royalty, such as they were at the moment. Her attention snapped back to Emperor, "I hope that my father's actions did not cause The Emperor too much pain and suffering. If there is anything I can, please let me know. I can summon any herb or flower that is not already growing in the gardens to aid in The Emperor's healing." This last comment was directed to both Emperor and the doctor; she was trying to save her place within the dynasty at this point.
  28.
  29. Emperor allowed the doctor to roam about and cinch his wires where they were needed. There were a few larger laceration along his back and shoulder. But most of the damage was bruising which would heal with the help of the salves and some relaxation to the muscles that had been battered. "Go ahead and set them if it will allow them to heal faster. I will be careful." As the man warned about lung puncturing. Well he knew he'd not be able to be running around or exerting himself for at least a week or two. Thankfully he also had some natural healing that would speed up the process. It was just not very good without a vast amount of concentration and energy he would rather use towards other things. When the heavy question was popped. He lingered upon the thought for a long while. A sternness about his face and callous expression in his eyes. "You will rid of it...and speak not of it." The firm tone of his voice spoke to how serious the matter was and how much he didn't wish for it to become a wider knowledge about the court. It was already rumors over the topic spreading like wildfire and he would stomp out this suspicion. To allow such a crime to exist was to wish bad omens into his household. As if he hadn't taken in one too many of those already. But at least they were currently serving a purpose and this would not. He lifted the cup to his lips and drained the rest of the tea as Baiza and Aiyue returned. The clutch upon the cup tightened. As his eyes surveyed the blue kirin and of course his jowls sank all the more. Jaws clenching. "The doctor will be finished soon and then will tend to you...Until then sit and do not cause any more of a scene." Her comment about herbal summonings and the hopes for his well beings currently ignored. The itching burn of the question in which he needed an answer to, causing his muscles to tighten. It would be good to finish up and take care of the woman or he'd likely pop his stitches from the building anger he was feeling from her presence. "You can set up a privacy screen for her with Ankha's wardrobe panel. I will have the answer promptly." He squeezed into Arushwin's arm with a steadily increasing pressure. -e-
  30.
  31. Arushwin nods, thoughtful for a bit as he considered what to do. he knew his own limitations though, so would open one of the many small drawers of the box he was fidgeting with and take up a small bead like thing. It might be mistaken for candy at first glance. He would pop it into his mouth to suck on, needing the energy boost it would soon provide. Turning his attention to his medical bag then he rummages for a roll of bandages, his stitching and wound tending done.. least for the flesh wounds. He frowns when given an answer but nods, moving partially onto the bed as he leans over the other a little as he carefully starts putting the bandages over his fully tended to wounds. When the two females entered he had just finished and was rummaging through his bag again, this time for a small notepad like thing and a piece of wrapped charcoal. He tilts his head when Aiyue mentioned growing herbs he didn't have if needed. though he didn't yet give her his full attention, her words caused him to react in a somewhat obvious manor.. subtle as it was. he was interested in this idea. It would save him much time in having to leave to hint for herbs himself. And situations like this wouldn't arise as often... when he took so long to return so he could tend to the Emperor. Setting them carefully on the foot of the bed he would again move to Emperors side and lean over him a bit. "I will set your ribs now if you are ready Shengshang." A brief pause if no objection was made, and if given the go ahead he would place his hand lightly upon the males ribs. Emperor would feel a warmth spread around the area touched.. and sink deeper. Everything the warmth touched the pain disappeared. The numbness would only last perhaps a minute, but it was enough time for the energy to do its job. Adjusting the broken ribs and partially healing them just enough so they weren't considered broken anymore, but still tender and not yet strong. This drained much of Arushwins energy, but that was what the 'pill' was for. He would be able to continue tending to Aiyue after this. Still, slightly shaken from the drain he would draw back when done. "Y-you.. its s-set ..." He sinks carefully to his knees to rummage through the box again, ostensibly to look for something. But he used that moment to settle himself and regain some energy. And sensing the increased aggression in Emperor he would open another drawer.. taking out to strips of something dark. it smelled meaty and spiced delicately. Reaching out he places the two strips of Jerky on the blanket covered thigh of the emperor, a silent subtle distraction and attempt to calm the male a little. Only when he was sure he could stand without showing how tired he suddenly felt he did so, moving across the room to adjust the screen just so.. only then did he turn to look fully at Aiyue. "Step behind the screen, if you would." He moved over to take up the note pad then, along with a vial, and a small leather case. A brief pause, and he reached into his bag .. digging deeper for another vial of something before moving to follow the woman if she went obediently.
  32.
  33. Aiyue had noticed the doctor's pause when she mentioned her ability to summon herbs and flowers at will; had he not known of her power? She assumed everyone in the court knew of her gifts by now. But then again, everyone also knew of the would be battle that her father had started and that she had tried to keep the Emperor and Empress from being a part of in the first place. When Emperor told her that she would sit and not be more of a spectacle, she did as she was instructed. She was not naive enough to know the feeling of aggravation in the air, she'd felt it many times when she was still with her father, so feeling it roll off of Emperor like waves hitting rocks in the ocean was something she was quite used to. The young Kirin closed her eyes, taking deep breaths to settle her mind. When she was directed to move behind the screen, Aiyue nodded softly and sheepishly moved behind the privacy divider. "H-how would you like me, Doctor?" The way that the young kirin phrased the question was deeply disturbing, as it clearly showed that she had repeated those very same words to at least one elder multiple times in her short lifespan. She was well aware that the screen was thin material and Emperor was just on the other side of it; but she had no delusions in thinking that he would pick up on the fact that the way she'd just asked the doctor how he would appreciate her to position herself for this examination was similar to the way she'd asked her father how he'd have his way with her. She had to hold back tears, she needed to be strong. Weakness was not something that the mastiff wanted in his dynasty, and it would only cement in his mind -- she believed-- that he'd done the wrong thing in taking her in and in killing her father.
  34.
  35. Emperor felt the slight pressure upon the edge of the bed as the deer shifted to the bedside and hovered over him to wrap him. The close proximity bringing his attention to the man's figure. Roaming his streamlined form and soft musculature. Surely the hint of something lewd in the mastiff's ember irises; just a flicker. As the bandages were bound about the girth of his waist and over the shoulder to stabilize it so he wouldn't be able to move it with full range. It would help the ribs to be able to hold their place correctly until they healed. The warm sensations as his hands pressed to his side and the tendrils of energy flowed through him to mend the bones. He could feel them shifting into alignment. "Good work indeed...doctor." The husky breathe spilling over the deer's cheek before the man would move away to pluck some jerky from his bag. What was he a three year old for needed to be pacified and coddled? He gave a look towards the man. A curious one that didn't read specific anger or contentment...perhaps something of pondering. Though no question surfaced. He took the jerky and bit into it as the man moved off to set up the paneling. "More tea...thank you." Requesting towards Baiza. What was this? Asking and pleasantries? There was something in the man's energy that had subdued the anger for now or atleast took the bite out of it. As he tried not to think about the procedures to come. Idly snacking as they would take care of the business needing to behind the panel.
  36.
  37. Arushwin flushed slightly when the breathed words brushed against his cheek from Emperor, but he was quick to go about his business. Placing the items he collected on a small table behind the screen his ears flicked back in a hint of vague displeasure at the women's question, but he showed no hint on why. He simple took the first vial he had collected, which was already half full of some clear liquid, and opening the leather case, he took out something similar to a scalpel. He then turned to Aiyue and handed her the vial. "Hold this, do not spill it." He waited for her to comply before he reached for her other hand, lifting it to about the level of his chest, palm up if she didn't resist. he then glances at her to make sure she didn't try to lash out or back away. He wasn't to worried, he had a sort of calming effect on people, a sort of aura that promoted peace and calm. If nothing stopped him, he would lightly nick the side of one finger with the blade, then set the tool aside before taking the vial from her again and collecting a few drops of her blood to mix with the liquid within. Before he released her hand, she would feel a tiny moment of warmth on the nick.. the tiny thing healed with barely any issue on his energy levels. he turns away briefly then to cork the vial and shake its contents, setting it in the table again he takes up the charcoal and notepad and turned to face her again. "Are you physically hurt that you are aware of? Bruising, muscle pain, scratches. Do you feel sick at any point during the day or having trouble sleeping?" His tone was calm, neutral. Clinical. he focus on his pad and her for the moment, the vial seeming to be completely ignored.
  38.
  39. Aiyue took hold of the vial that the doctor had handed her and looked at it for a while. When she was asked about how she felt, Aiyue thought for a moment. "Aside from some pain around the base of my horn, there's nothing. But I do feel sick when I wake up in the mornings, after I eat breakfast and dinner. a certain smells do make me feel sick as well." She looked at the doctor now, worry and shame heavy in her eyes. |Please, please don't let me be pregnant. I can't bare my own father's child.... What would it even look like!| She thought to herself, scared and ashamed that she didn't fight him off harder.
  40.
  41. Arushwin hums thoughtfully, carefully writing down some things. He then sets the pad down on the table, taking up the vial again to give it another quick shake to make sure, as it had turned to another color aside from red. But he made no mention on what the change ment and merely pocketed the vial. he then turned to Aiyue and stepped closer, reaching up to feel around her horn to make sure it wasn't damaged more then simply being sore. He then sighs, turning again to take up the second vial and uncorking it, handing it to her. "Drink this, then stand still." He waits for her to do as he said before moving around behind her and pressing his palm to the center of her back. It would take a minute, but a warmth would start to grow from her neck down to her hips, this would take several minutes as he concentrated. By the time he was done she would feel a bit more pressure against her back as his energy wavered. A wash of dizziness almost making him fall into her. Inhaling a sharp breath he managed to move back to the table, shakely closing the leather case, tucking the blade he used into an outside pocket on it. His voice was softer then before, showing how exhausted he suddenly was. "G-Go s-sit back wh-where you were before.." he would use the screen to shield himself from them both for a short time to recover himself. Only when and if she obeyed did he let himself sink to his knees and rest his head on the table for a minute. The wash of dizziness making it hard for him to think. But he would make damn sure what he had written on that notepad was not able to be seen by her.
  42.
  43. Aiyue hadn't truly noticed the first vial changing color, she was too wrap in her own thoughts to pay much attention to what was going on. When it was taken and another pressed into her hand, though, she did as she was told; drinking its contains and standing as still as she could manage. When the warmth washed over her, she was confused but she didn't truly show it. As the doctor finished whatever he had done and instructed her to return to the spot she was sitting in before, she did just that, keeping her eyes locked on the floor so she did not anger Emperor any further.
  44.
  45. Emperor after the jerky had been devoured and the new tea was drunk he was beginning to feel a bit more like himself. Albeit still a little tired. The inflammation was starting to come down and the pain was nearly completely gone..aside from some mildly nagging aches. He looked up as Aiyue emerged from behind the screen after the doctor's examination. The stoney countenance returning to his face. "You can have some tea if you'd like." He would nod towards the teapot that Baiza had set up on the table. Then shift his eyes to the screen. His brow perking. "Have you finished with everything Arushwin?" As he simply thought the man was cleaning up and sorting his information he didn't think much of his quietness.
  46.
  47. Arushwin let himself rest without moving up until he heard Emperor speak. Collecting himself, he managed to respond with a mildly steady voice, though his weakness was almost obvious in how his voice wavered in the end. "Y-yes, Shengshang. One minute please.." Taking the small case he tucked it into a pocket in his upper clothing, along with the vials. Leaning up, though still on his knees he would carefully add more to the note he had already written, take the paper from the rest and tuck the pad into his pocket as well. the note was small, but clear. Pushing to his feet he moved around and into view, only wavering a little with his steps. He then placed the note on the Emperors lap before sinking to his knees, then shifting to a sort of seated position that was half kneel, hand sit.. as he leans against the side of the bed while on the floor. His head resting against the side of it. he was to unstable and drained now.. if he remained standing to much longer he would have likely passed out.
  48.
  49. Aiyue appreciated Emperor's offer for tea, but would end up shaking her head, "If it's pleases the Emperor, I would like to return to my room?" She was suddenly not feeling well after the doctor's exam and she honestly felt as if she was going to pass out. She could tell that Emperor was still annoyed with her, and she did not wish to inflict her company on him for longer than she had.
  50.
  51. Emperor waited for the doctor to appear and when the note was passed to him, he did well to read it completely and thoroughly. A ragged exhale as he tried to keep his composure and would promptly ball the paper up within his fist. "Very well." Was his comment about the parchment and the notes towards the doctor. Seeing how woozy the Faer had become was a bit concerning. "I fear you have overdone yourself. You should go and rest." His hand pressed to the man's cheek. Brushing lightly against the fur. In his more sedated state it seemed his expression of affection became more apparent. Towards Aiyue's asking to leave he'd nod. "Just know what was ailing you has been solved now. Now you can rest easy." He said his voice softened. "The doctor will send you whatever medications or sleep aid you may need in these coming days." He would assume the induced miscarriage would be a burden on her body and then when it presented itself..the aftermath might plague her emotions for some time. Then nodding towards Arushwin. "I will see again soon for the changing of the bandages and salves." Now he could finally sleep with ease as well. Knowing that the problem was dealt with. Though the potential wrath of his wife and the option to not tell her might reign down upon him...he'd cross that bridge when it came.
  52.
  53. Arushwin would tilt his head and relax a bit at the touch and affection shown him by the Emperor. He makes a small sound of agreement and would force himself to move, carefully.. to collect what he had brought and make his way out of the room. The short rest allowed him to recover enough to be able to do so without making a fool of himself.
