This route works on both NTSC and PAL and was designed to avoid the megaflip across the bridge in Gerudo Valley. It might be possible to do on the PAL version but I haven't found a setup so I have to get the Hookshot which changes movement in Goron City and Lost Woods. It also saves bombs because you can OI with the Hookshot instead of bombs but the route is slower in general.
You can get 80 rupees for the Hylian Shield by farming chain rupees on both sides but it's faster with the river rupee unless you can make it into Market before night and avoid the Bazaar clip.
You can get less bombs from Dampe's grave and farm grass or get the bomb chest in Death Mountain Crater which requires one extra bomb. For example two bombs for the SS to GV and three for Trials skip would require at least 6 bombs in DMC.
