Background Story

叶卡捷琳娜二世是德国安哈尔特-查尔布斯特亲王之女,1944年被许配给俄罗斯皇位继承人彼得三世的妻子，从此，15岁的叶卡捷琳娜就走入宫中，等待她的不是青春或者爱情，而是冷漠的丈夫和勾心斗角的宫廷斗争。
Ekaterina II, the daughter of the German Prince Anhalt-Zerbst, was betrothed to  Peter III, the heir to the throne of Russia in 1944, as his wife. Since then, at the age of 15, Ekaterina walked into the palace, what awaits her was not youth or love, but indifferent husband and the court struggle of intrigue.

With her appearance and status, the Queen easily reaps love but she quickly sees through these seemingly fine men, who had licked the Queen's toes the night before and were driven out of the palace the night after.

On this day, a group of knights visited the Queen, who came from a European organization called Schicksal. The Queen had heard of the mysterious organization, to which the Russian royal family gave large quantities of gold each year in exchange for their protection from the monsters.

骑士们来的目的是调查在俄国偶尔发现的怪兽，他们称之为崩坏兽，但是进展并不顺利，没有找到崩坏兽的痕迹。女皇对他们的任务不感兴趣，却对带头的骑士，克里斯.卡斯兰娜产生了兴趣。
The knights came to investigate the occasional monsters found in Russia, which they call Honkai Beast, but the progress was not going well and no traces of the Honkai Beast was found. The Queen was not interested in their mission, but was interested in the leading knight, Chris Kaslana.

克里斯才16岁，留着白色的短发，刚刚当上骑士，160厘米的个子，比168cm的女王还要小两号，穿着比自己身体还要大一号的盔甲，目光洁白无瑕又充满勇气。

In the course of Chris's mission, the Queen repeatedly wanted Chris to enter her harem, but Chris did not agree, which aroused the Queen's interest. She wrote to Schicksal's European headquarters, asking Chris to protect her as her guardian knight. Then the Queen found out that Chris was a girl, her chest was not well developed. Chris  shyly hid in the tub, but the Queen, after a brief hesitation, said that she didn't mind Chris being a girl. After all, how could the great Russian Queen not be a man and a woman? As she spoke, she took off her clothes and went into the bathtub to help wash Chris's hair.

After that, Chris did not run away from the Queen. The two sometimes enjoyed afternoon tea together, sometimes they went hunting together, the two sat together on a horse, and the Queen felt as if she had returned to her lost maiden age.

好景不长，在一次狩猎中，女皇被突然出现的崩坏兽袭击了，幸好克里斯在她的身边，经过一番战斗，女皇安然无恙，克里斯却身受重伤。
In a hunt, the Queen was suddenly attacked by a Honkai Beast. Fortunately, Chris was by her side. After the battle, the Queen was safe and unharmed, but Chris was seriously injured.

回到宫中，女皇调查到，在俄国境内早就出现了崩坏兽，但是大臣们却有意隐瞒，为的就是找机会让女皇误入崩坏兽所在的区域被杀，夺取皇位。狩猎的那次暗杀失败了，因此他们决定殊死一搏，在当晚进入皇宫杀死女皇。
Returning to the palace, the Queen found out that there had long been a Honkai Beast in Russia, but the ministers deliberately concealed it in order to find an opportunity for the Queen to enter the area where the Honkai Beast was and to be killed by it so they may seize the throne. The assassination attempt on the hunt failed, so they decided to go to the palace and kill the Queen that night.

早就习惯了勾心斗角的女皇，也忍不住叹了口气，她给裹着绷带的克里斯喝下了掺着安眠药的葡萄酒，把她抱进马车，送回了天命的欧洲总部。
The Queen, who had long been accustomed to intrigue, could not help but sigh. She gave a bandaged Chris wine with sleeping pills for her to drink, carried her into a carriage, and returned her to the headquarters of Schicksal in Europe.

当晚，背叛者们杀入皇宫，看到了女皇，翘着腿坐在皇位上，一手拿着酒杯，冷眼看着他们...

Chris, who woke up at Headquarters, heard that a fire broke out in the Russian palace that night and that the queen had died at the hands of the traitors.
