Personality ( a good 1-3 paragraphs ) | YOUNG’s personality has changed by a lot in comparison to her high school self, mainly due to her change in worldview and personal need to repent for her selfish nature. her need to feel as though she is selfless affects much of her personality, and she’s a shadow in the face of everything, never speaking up; not that she can; never making a scene of herself, and keeping in the background. YOUNG is an masked over version of the bold and outgoing girl she was before, and it’s evident in her struggle to keep up the facade, with her struggles in terms of controlling her emotions. to most others, she’s seen as a bit of a pushover, willing to bend to others wishes and do whatever is needed to be done. while it seems as though that’s her personality as it has been developed, she’s actually aware of her giving and willing nature, and she’s actively trying to be the person that she has in her head. she’s become the girl she would have been if she’d grown up with her father instead of her mother, and is inherently observant and aware of her surroundings, often watching people for hours on end and using their own experiences to escape from her own for a little while. her soft nature is a stark contrast to her experimental and risk based magical curiosity, and while she seems calm and collected on the outside, she’s a very emotionally ruled person, in which she struggles to keep her peace and silence. she’s seen by others as an extremely kind person, due to her helpful and selfless nature, and her patience with others due to her inability to speak. on the topic of her muteness, it’s not all calm sailing, as she often gets frustrated with the fact that she can’t communicate with others as easily as she used to, and despite her efforts to learn sign language, it’s pretty useless if no one else knows it. she’s much too selfless, to the point of being borderline sacrificial, and would be willing to do almost anything for the good of others. due to this need to feel as though she isn’t selfish and doing things for herself, she can be much too trusting of people and their requests, and she can be a bit naive. her wonder for the world around her is immense and boundless, and she is enraptured with the different parts of human nature and the creations of people, physical or intangible. her drive is related to the needs and struggles of others, and her need to repent ties into this, as well as protect those who she cares about. she’s quite a paranoid person, and gets anxious easily, since after the accident she can’t help but fear for the safety and security of those that she cares about. her emotional stability is on another level however, and while she’s very good at containing her snappish, frustrated nature, she often slips. the emotions of a witch are nothing to scoff at, and her magical abilities are powerful enough already without her emotions affecting them. however, the dangerous nature of her raw, unrestrained magic is enough to convince and keep her emotions tampered down in order to guarantee the safety of others. her quiet nature and sweet demeanor lead many people to underestimate her abilities and intellect, but in actuality she’s an insanely smart person, with a lot of practical and academic knowledge about the world and its workings. she is very creative and adaptable with situations and ideas, and is a very good person to go to for information, as her memory and observancy skills have lead her to pick up information that most people would not hear, due to her shadow-like presence. ‘the wise old owl was a wise old bird; the less he spoke, the more he heard’ applies to YOUNG, and she prides herself on her ability to listen and give advice from that information. she’s a people driven person, and loves people watching because of all the different stories and viewpoints she can take in. due to this, she’s gloriously open minded, and accepting of people as they are, even if they could be deemed dangerous by other people.

Background ( a good paragraph) |  YOUNG grew up as a spoiled and selfish child, mainly due to her family’s indulgence of her as she was growing up, and the abundance of love and care in her household. her childhood was spent mainly with her mother, as her father was working a full time job as a high school art teacher, and while her mother did work, it was as a freelance witch working out of their house and providing people and other supernatural creatures with magic and potions. she grew up in the light of the supernatural world, but her father kept her link to the human world and her humanity. when it was discovered that her mothers heritage had passed down to YOUNG, while her mother was overjoyed, her father was not, and they fought over where they thought that YOUNG belonged. while her own opinion was that she could keep her life balanced in both worlds, a six year olds opinion isn’t that valued, and her parents split over their daughter. while she spent equal time in her mother and father's residences’ she was clearly more attached to the world of the unknown, the world of magic and adventure that every child dreams of discovering. however, growing up with everything at her fingertips and with two seperate parents willing to do anything for her, she became spoiled and petulant, despite her overall good nature. her love for her mothers (and hers) world, was kept balanced by one thing; her friend yahaba, a japanese boy her own age living in the neighborhood. the two of them grew up as partners in crime, and she dragged him into her world, willing or unwilling. the two stuck by each other's side for years, as she grew up into a fledgeling witch, tutored by her mother, and grew into a creative and adaptable magic user. her father and her had a different kind of relationship, not quite one filled with wonder and experience, but one still full of care, nonetheless. their connection was their combined love for the arts and their curiosity towards other people and human nature, and from him she learned to draw, and appreciate people in their most natural forms. however, good things cannot last forever, and it seems that her luck caught up to her in her second year of high school. sudden, unnatural and suspicious are all words that could be used to describe the death of her mother, and though she grieved (oh how she grieved), she was nothing if not a witch, and the gears in her head began to turn. her love for her mother was selfish, and she did not understand that it was that selfishness that lead to the destruction of her life as she knew it, and the safety of her closest friend. after months of research, preparation, collection, she attempted to revive her mother, by sacrificing the life of her mother's dog; she naively thought that any life for a life would be a sufficient sacrifice. however, the skills of a mere child tutored by her mother are scarce and bare boned in comparison to those needed to rework fate and death, and what she summoned was not her mother. if you asked YOUNG what the most terrifying moment in her life was, she would tell you that it was the instant she looked up at the demon occupying her mother’s bedroom, and the glinting grin it gave her. while demons will trade and barter with souls and summoners, they like to play around as well, and who better than a naive, petulant high school girl? selfish and yet selfless as she was, she begged for her life, before being told that taking her soul was no fun; the demons intentions turned towards YAHABA, and she was promised his and her life; if she could only keep her mouth shut and her voice trapped behind her teeth. the disappearance of the demon, the failure of her yet good intentioned spell and the fear for the safety of her friend led her to abandon her previous self, the one that was selfish and petulant. she finished high school while living at her father's house, before disregarding her previous plans for university, and applying for OASIS, the nearest supernatural organisation she could think of. accepted to the sugar division, her talents are applied in multiple ways, with her skills in spell writing, potion making and her major magical potential. she sells commissioned spells and provides warding services and potions to the supernatural, and keeps OASIS hidden and as safe as safe for them can be.

WHAT JOB DO THEY REALLY WANT? | YOUNG wanted two things; both to be normal, and anything but. her relationship with both the human and supernatural world led her to want both, but she was unaware of she’s not attending a physical college, but she’s studying art history through an online school. she wants to be able to help people in some way, whether they be human or supernatural. she wants to repent in some way for her actions and the consequences of them, and can do that partially through OASIS.

🝐 actually struggles with keeping silent. it’s a voluntary action, but where she’s tried to use spells on herself to keep it shut whether she likes it or not is impossible, as it’s part of a contract and can’t be overwritten or ‘edited’.
🝐 her sketchbooks are full to the brim with pencil sketches of people, scribbled spells, runes and potion recipes, and pressed plants and flowers. she goes through about two every three months, and they’re kept under other books and jars.

Love Interest ( +backup ) | kim taehyung (+ min yoongi)

Love Interest personality | kim taehyung is a passionate person, though it can be overshadowed by his cruel and malevolent portrayal by others who know nothing of him. he values the equal treatment for all, and the fair balance of all races and souls. he despises the ruling of lilith, as he rejects her vicious and cruel ways. he’s cocky and confident, as well as deadly cunning and puts his all into everything he does, which unfortunately is tied to kim namjoon at the moment. he’s sharp and precise, but also hilariously curious about the workings of different parts of the human world, and he’s excitable about things that he’s interested in and what he can find out. his moral and emotional strength gives him the platform to get what he wants, and put his whole (what’s left of it) heart into what he wants to. it cannot be forgotten that he was once an angel, and his just nature and love for his subjects and those he is loyal to can not be overlooked, and he can be quite sweet when he wants to.

How do they meet | since him, along with namjoon and jungkook, are trying to bring down/infiltrate OASIS, i’m presuming they’d go straight to the source, and the club in statement. since they need information, and the ones who have the best idea of how OASIS works are the three main ‘staff members’ - that is to say YOUNG, along with SALTED CARAMEL and GREEN TEA - the three of them target a different girl each to try and sneak information out of them, and TAEHYUNG is sent to get information from YOUNG. he probably makes up some excuse about commissioning a spell or ward service, and from the information they already have, he knows that she’s a scarily proficient witch, who controls the inflow or the club along with providing magical services to the public. imagine his surprise when he walks into her workroom to face a small, dishevelled girl with a fox in her arms in a mess of a workroom. not quite the person he was expecting.

Interactions/Trivia ( how they act around each other, first impressions, things they do together, etc. ) |  the two of them have a strange dynamic; his first impression of her was that she was definitely not who he was expecting to be tasked to get information off of; his second impression, when she held up a page of her notebook asking ‘what can i help you with?’ was that this was going to be a lot harder than namjoon had made it out to be. her first impression was a lot less significant, as she received customers on a daily basis, and while she thought ‘oh, he’d be fun to draw’, she didn’t think much of him, or the stuttered excuse that he made about commissioning a spell. as YOUNG takes consultations and meetings (or what constitutes as one for her) when writing spells, in order to figure out what the specifications are for the charm they need, and what they’re willing to sacrifice (if it’s a more taxing and effective spell) he uses the excuse of these meetings to attempt to get information off of her about how OASIS works, and anything that can help their group out of her, but the problem is her struggle to communicate even normally, and also she’s not oblivious to his attempts to smuggle information out of her, no matter how cunning he is. he keeps coming to the club though, and on nights where she’s not holed up in her workroom, she likes to sit at the bar and draw; he takes this opportunity to get closer to her, but starts to realise how much she matters to him, as she portrays the moral values that he admires, her outlook on her own life (told to him through writing and text messages) and the strength that he can sense within her. she, hopeless, selfless, kind girl that she is, despite her growing understanding of the kind of person that he is, is also too trusting for her own good sometimes, and while she is able to keep her undivided loyalty to the OASIS, a place that took her in and gave her a chance for her talent to grow, also begins to form another kind of loyalty to TAEHYUNG, one that doesn’t necessarily involve divulging information, but gives him an edge over her anyway.

How their relationship develops ( beginning, middle, end ) | in the beginning, YOUNG doesn’t really have any kind of impression of him, as he’s just another customer to her. however, the amount of time she ends up spending with him around OASIS ends up with her developing feelings for him quite naturally; pretty terrifying, as it seems as though anyone she gets close to is affected by her relationship with fate and mortality. however, despite her relative trust towards most people, she’s not dumb, and she’s pretty aware that he wants something from her. on his side of the relationship, he’s much more of a mess, as he realises how loyal to OASIS she is, and that the girl he’s fallen for would be extremely affected by the outcome of mission he’s on; despite these feelings, he can’t go against namjoon, and he hates it. the two grow a lot closer, and YOUNG gradually divulges her own life story and he in turn gives her basic information on his own; a fallen should never have fallen in love with a human witch, but he did, and so he tries to keep enough information from her to keep her as safe as she can be. at one point i guess OASIS is targeted by the people they’ve been selling information to, and YOUNG goes haywire with her magic after finding out that he’s in league with the people that are (attacking?? trying to take down?) OASIS, and her emotions are completely out of control, and her magic along with it. i’d say that at this point taehyung is completely against the mission he’s being forced to carry out, and he tries to calm her down in an attempt to keep her causing any more destruction than she already has, but she’s furious with him, for putting the people at OASIS at risk, for betraying her trust and loyalty. from there, since OASIS is a mess and pretty much done for, i’d say the staff members go into hiding of some form; whether together or alone, i’m not sure; but YOUNG is able to assimilate into the human world as well, and is trying to figure out what to do from there. taehyung hunts her down and she’s still angry at him, shes still frustrated despite her hatred for the emotions she feels, but she gives him a chance to speak for himself; do for others, never yourself. probably explains what he was a part of, why he was, and his change in attitude, and in turn she explains her own reaction to the incident and they make up, slowly, but steadily. idk what would happen after that, they’d probably confess like the losers that they actually are, and YOUNG would start up a covered magical business in an attempt to get things back to normal, and try to track down the other OASIS members? it takes a while, but they’re together so they’re happy. also taehyung probably hunts down the demon she’s contracted to and basically threatens him to break the contract so she can talk again lmao.

🝐 i’m not sure how it would work, but maybe a scene of YOUNG saying her first word in like, three or so years after her contract is snapped? and she’s super stuttery but then she gets used to it, and just yells that she loves him and she’s laughing and it’s a mess
because they’re both really happy and they deserve it.

What is your character's Achilles Heel (fatal flaw)? |  her selflessness in need of repentance. she’s committed so much to making sure that she isn’t selfish or prideful, that her selflessness has become a fatal weakness, as she’s selfless to the point of sacrificial, and her willingness to help anyone who asks for it, and a lot of the time, even if they don’t ask for help.

WEAPON(S) OF CHOICE | knives. while she mainly uses her magic, she sometimes has to resort to physical force and tools, and has an array of warded knives.

FIGHTING STYLE | defensive, mainly, but she’s skilled in utilising spells and runic charms to form offensive attacks. mainly creates warded barriers and circles to protect others, yet her selflessness can be a bad thing in her fighting, as she will always choose to protect others over herself.

A summary of how you'd see the two (AS SEPARATE CHARACTERS) developing across the plot of the STORY | young - she learns that she can’t be so selfless all the time, as her selfless nature can result in the harm of others, despite her better intentions. she’s also going to develop her skills in controlling her emotions and realising that her helpful, kind nature doesn’t have to be a facade.

probably RED VELVET, as the two of them get on quite fluidly, and are comfortable in each others presence. YOUNG is used as a sort of teacher for RED VELVET as she's realatively inexperienced in the ways of the supernatural world.
