  3. Starting with Marione, A jojolity like this is a tall, tall order for a character like her. I think that you certainly go about this in an interesting way, playing to her past and devolving her further and further away from her humanity. As an effort overall I think it is solid. Nothing groundbreaking, but still worthy of a decent 7/10.

  5. Moving onto the players I think that the narrative that you set up here is truly impactful. I think the way that Lumberjack’s mystical predictions and sage nature bounce off Nadine's drive and turmoil paints an excellent picture of care and struggle against all odds that I think fully embodies the jojolity in a really special way. A high 9/10 feels absolutely fair here, and you deserve nothing but commendation for your work here!

  9. Marione’s Jojolity was “Somehow, despite everything, hit rock bottom!” And boy has she hit rock bottom, a poor girl listening to the voices in her head telling her to throw everything away and become a very sad attempt at a monster. Ilar’d laugh at her like this, but the jojolity isn’t about being a monster and if anything this helps show her hitting rock bottom.
  10. As for Players, their Jojolity was “Somehow, despite it all, help Marione!”, and if their Narrative on the matter wasn’t enough (and the taking away of the bad influence phone) Nadine literally has a heartfelt duel against Mari to attempt to calm her down. Both sides get a **9**. Great job!

  14. Many of my musings from R1M12 and R2M19 resurface here: how useful is the counterfactual to measure robustness of the Jojolity? How much narrative is needed to be considered mechanical/material? The Jojolity here was meant as a layup to both teams for narrative, which they took an aplomb to, although I wonder how much it materially affected the strategy/gameplay of each (hence, the counterfactual).

  16. Players get an 8/10 for how they weaved Lumberjack into the Narrative. Nadine’s character work is strong as expected, but it would have been easy to have Lumberjack phone it in. Instead, he complements and supplements Nadine thematically as much as narratively, testing and supporting her conviction in equal measure from the first tarot reading to the final reveal. Call me biased for unorthodox monk types, but the bastard pulled his weight and then some.

  18. Where many strats overdo tricks with formatting, Marione keeps to a very simple, very effective trick: the gradual reveal that the strat is largely narrated by her Miracle. I’m a firm believer in using the whole cow, and from the song selection to the narration to the tech justification, everything is geared towards showing that decent. There’s a cohesion here that pushes this Jojolity above the robustness for a 7, above the creativity for an 8, to the heights of a 9.
