  5. Combat Talent: (Natural Companions; passive: When Slëd and Aster target the same enemy with their attacks in the same turn, those attacks have a -1 Crit Range.)
  6. Noncombat Talent: (Speakers of the Forest; passive: Aster can understand Slëd's grunts and translate for him, though some things don't need translation. Slëd has +1 to Intimidation, and Aster has +1 to Negotiation.)

  10. (Free Racial) Animal: passive; Even the smartest Bear is still just an animal. They cannot communicate with words to the other sentient races, but they can make general gestures to get their point across. Being an animal though allows them to speak to other fauna they may meet.
  11. (Free Racial) Bear Hug: passive; Bear hugs are the strongest grip known to ponykind. Your arms are like a vice-grip, anything you grab, unless it’s bigger than you, has no chance of escaping. You also lift, carry and move heavier objects than most other races.
  12. (Racial) Forest Ranger: automatic; Bears are the kings of the forest, able to go where they want and do what they want without interference. Whenever you meet another animal your size or smaller, you assert your dominance and pacify it no matter what. However, if will defend itself against anyone who chooses to attack it after that.
  13. (Pure Bonus) Grappler: passive; Trained in melee and close quarters combat, you overpower foes easily in such situations. You have +1 to all rolls when making non-combat actions to grapple, subdue, restrain, or in any way preventing a target from moving with your own body. You can apply this bonus in combat to remove an enemy from combat without killing them, but only when they’re the only enemy in their zone and helpless, or on very low health.
  14. (Free Skill) Slam: recharge 1; Crush an enemy with your body, dealing damage. Crits on 9+.
  15. (Class) Suppress: recharge 3; Rush a target and force them to the ground, pinning them and rendering them helpless. On Crit you charge them into another enemy in the same zone, dealing a Wound to your target and 2 hits to the other enemy. If you use Slam on Suppress’ original target while they are still helpless, they cannot recover that turn by any means.
  16. (Class) Cavalier: locked, passive; The exotic warrior. The fabled fighter. The knight and their trusty steed. There are many tales of the lone master, or a duo with their companion at their heels, having the strength of armies. You are one of those. When learning this skill you must choose whether you are the lone knight, or have minion who aids you. You also can pick 3 of the Doctrines listed below.

If your minion dies, you may find another creature to take as your minion, and you can choose a new set of Doctrines for them.

  28. Slëd is a male bear. His fur is black and has a brown muzzle, being of the black bear species. His eyes are faded carnelian. Slëd is incredibly large even for a bear, standing nearly a foot taller than a minotaur when on his hind legs. He owes this to size his close connection with nature, imbued with fey powers that help him serve to protect his home and forests much like it. Having once served as a warbeast for a druidic sect, Slëd is geared to act as a mount to an ally, though doesn't trust this to just anyone.
  29. Aster met Slëd in his travels, an encounter where Aster feared he'd be mauled by the giant creature. However, as Slëd showed no outward aggression towards him, and Aster was happy to share his rations with the bear, the two eventually formed a proper bond of friendship. Aster's beliefs are not as nature-focused as Slëd's, though his world view is that of shared compassion between all peoples. While Slëd is all to happy to maul those who defile nature, Aster doesn't like to harm anyone more than he needs to, adopting a nonlethal fighting style utilizing pressure points and knocking his enemies unconscious.

  39. (Cavalier - Animal Husbandry) Antlers: passive; A deer’s antlers are better suited for defense than for attack. You always count as having a shield, and this bonus stacks with all normal weapons. You may also make a basic attack with your antlers as an Instant Action with Recharge 2.
  40. (Cavalier - Animal Husbandry) Tribal Training: passive; Your fighting style is primitive and unpredictable. All damage you deal and you take is lowered by 1.
  41. (Cavalier) Unbreakable: passive; You only take 4 hits of counterattack damage from Crit Fails, instead of instantly being rendered helpless

  45. Guard: passive; A shield always helps stave off attacks, even if it’s not readily held up. All counterattack damage you take is lowered by 1.
  46. Brace: weapon; Rush to a close by ally’s side and help them stand against an attack. When an ally would take any type of damage, you can use this to cut that damage in half on success. You can also use this on yourself, but only against enemy attacks and not counterattack damage.
  47. -Enchanted Hoof Wraps (Dual Weapons)
  48. Riposte: passive; Whenever you make a successful attack that is not Dual Wielding, you follow up with your off-hand weapon. Roll a 1d3, and add the result to the damage dealt.
  49. Dual Wielding: weapon; Strike at an enemy with both of your weapons in quick succession. Make two rolls to attack. A Critfail on one roll does not cancel the other, but you still fall helpless.

  52. Aster is a male deer. He has deep purple eyes and his fur is light grey, tinged the smallest bit with lavender. His underbelly, tail, and chest tuft is snow white. Aster's horns are small, round, and covered in fuzz; kept in velvet (not the color) permanently due to a birth defect. Aster is a traveling monk, trained in both martial and chiropractic arts. Aster is soft spoken but firm when talking to others, friendly almost always except in the worst circumstances. He acknowledges that life can't be lived without some sort of violence, but doesn't condone killing others.
