- These are the differences between J and U that I know of:
- Soft reset: advancing through the title screen is 36 frames faster on J.
- 1-3/2-3: cloud carousels can be sped up by tilting on U
- 2-2: the layout after the die roll on J allows for a spawn manipulation, always giving you the red path
- 8-3: balloon skip is only possible on J
