- Here is the latest patch for Age of Empires as released by Microsoft
- earlier today. This will update your version of Age of Empires to
- version 1.0a. For a list of changes, refer to the UPDATE.DOC file
- included.
- To install the update, simply un-RAR the contents of the included
- update file into your existing Age of Empires directory, overwriting
- any files that are there already:
- unrar x -v -y aoeup10a.001 c:\aoe
- This will extract the new EMPIRES.EXE and LANGUAGE.DLL files, along
- with the UPDATE.DOC listing changes made, and an updated SETUP.EXE.
- You must run the new SETUP.EXE to update your registry before
- attempting to play Age of Empires v1.0a. Please note that the included
- LANGUAGE.DLL is English. If you require a different language, simply
- download the update from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/games
- and apply it, then overwrite the EMPIRES.EXE file ONLY with the one
- included in this crack. That's it!
