  51. Pete, a boy is found in a forest. Apparently he's been living there for six years after an accident took his parents. A ranger named Grace decides to take him in and when she asks him how he survived all by himself, he says he had a friend, Elliot, with him. He draws a picture of Elliot and it's a picture of a dragon. Grace takes the picture to her father who claims that years ago, he encountered a dragon in the forest. Grace takes Pete back to the forest and he shows them where he lives and Elliot. A man saw Elliot and when he tells about his experience and is not believed, he sets out to prove it by capturing the dragon.
  52. The adventures of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliot, who just so happens to be a dragon.
  53. The real issue I had with the original &quot;Pete&#39;s Dragon&quot; was that there wasn&#39;t enough Elliot. The movie really dragged when he wasn&#39;t around.<br/><br/>The remake solves this problem, largely because of how seriously it takes it dragon. Elliot is far mote than just (first-rate) CGI; he&#39;s a genuine character. Which is why it&#39;s heartbreaking to see him tranq&#39;d and strapped to a flatbed, and thrilling when he takes to the sky.<br/><br/>The cast is also taken seriously, what with its fair share of name actors. But the movie&#39;s heart lies in the relationship between Elliot and Pete (Oakes Fegley). That kid&#39;s amazing.<br/><br/>Put it this way: I&#39;m not Disney&#39;s biggest fan, but I love this dragon.<br/><br/>8/10
  54. We took our kids to see Pete&#39;s Dragon to celebrate my five year old&#39;s birthday.<br/><br/>It was entertaining and well done. The very first few scenes are a bit disturbing and suspenseful for young viewers. There are suspenseful moments near the end of the movie where some characters are in peril that can be a bit stressful on young viewers.<br/><br/>Overall, it was a good family movie.<br/><br/>I don&#39;t particularly recommend seeing it in 3D but then again i&#39;m not a big 3D fan. My 5 year old kept saying &quot;my glasses aren&#39;t working&quot; but that was an expectation thing (him thinking everything would be 3D all the time).<br/><br/>Many of the scenes are dark (hard to see) which seems worse b/c of the 3D glasses.<br/><br/>There were a few subtle nice scenes of 3D scenery but overall i see no reason to see the movie in 3D.<br/><br/>The acting was good (especially Howard) and the dragon was very well done (not particularly scary, more of a big lovable animal).
  55. More than anything, this is a slice-of-life tale, whisper-thin but still full of feeling and a generous sense of place. With the world's most adorable dragon at the center of it all.
