  1.
  2. Enjoying life. Such simple words, sometimes so hard to manifest to reality. The wisdom we seek is already within ourselves, but we rather try to find it from outside, even from TV evangelists and false prophets.
  3.
  4. People rarely see the big picture; why we are even on this planet, let alone why we even exist. That's why most people are so confused and trying to find meaning from their careers or whatever outer doctrine or structure they have been imposed or attracted to.
  5.
  6. Nothing 'earthly' can ever give you harmony, peace of mind, happiness or true enjoyment of life. A car, a job, a 'partner' (as they call it these days), a social group, a mansion, a pool, a helicopter, a computer room filled with every good game system ever created, hedonistic sexual paradise..
  7.
  8. ..none of these things will come even close to bringing happiness or true 'enjoyment of life'.
  9.
  10. Every time you eat something, you may experience a fleeting, basically physical pleasure, and then it's over. You're not happy, you're just not feeling 'hunger' anymore. Until you do, and then you eat again, just to experience the physical fullness together with the spiritual void.
  11.
  12. Every time you see a movie, have an 'intimate moment' with someone(s), indulge in something intoxicating, the same thing happens - you may experience temporary feeling of some kind, and then it's over. Alcohol brings you hangover, sex brings you guilt, movie makes you tired, food makes you bloated and stuffed. There's always an 'aftermath' in materialistic 'pleasures'.
  13.
  14. So how does one 'enjoy life'?
  15.
  16. When we look at a big picture, we can realize we are not here to enjoy life. Incarnating on a planet like this isn't a vacation, this is not a holiday. It's not supposed to be a paradise.
  17.
  18. You don't go to School or University to feel as good as possible and then return home to rest from all that joy.
  19.
  20. You go there to learn. You go there to work hard to educate yourself so you can be a little better, knowledgeable, skilled, trained and 'valuable' in the world.
  21.
  22. Universally thinking, that's exactly what you do when you incarnate on a planet. You get plenty of 'joyful euphoria' between incarnations (in the astral side of things), so when you incarnate, it's time to learn, to work, to pay our karmic debts, to go through our life plan.
  23.
  24. This can be a painful process, we shouldn't be afraid of pain, toil and what we might call 'bad luck'. We might get robbed, we might become homeless, we might have to suffer in our job or be bullied at school.
  25.
  26. All this is paying our karmic debts, we are progressing in our mission.
  27.
  28. We are not here to live a perfectly problem and trouble-free luxury life with just 'enjoyment' and nothing else. We are here to suffer, cry, curse, lose things, feel pain, experience hardships and learn from it all.
  29.
  30. Suffering is the biggest purpose we have in life, so to exchange that to 'enjoyment of life' would make our lives meaningless.
  31.
  32. Our meaning is not to work for some wave-slave corporation until our soul is completely exhausted - but the experience of suffering from all that does give meaning to otherwise meaningless existence.
  33.
  34. Of course we can enjoy life as much as we are able to, but we shouldn't neglect our karmic responsibilities, now that we have this unique opportunity to learn from all the pain, misery and hardship that's only possible here, on this fleeting, short physical incarnation's side of things.
  35.
  36. Soon it will be over, and then we will be in 100% euphoria for who knows how many decades or even centuries, until it's time to incarnate again.
  37.
  38. We better use our time here wisely, not trying to avoid our karmic duties and spiritual life plan's obligations that usually have suffering as the framework; we can be joyful in knowing that we are living a meaningful life exactly because we can't just 'enjoy life' every moment!
  39.
  40. As the old Zen master said; 'Poverty is your treasure. Never exchange it for an easy life.'
  41.
  42. If we just 'enjoy life' from birth to death, what's the point, since we can do that any old time in the astral world anyway?
  43.
  44. Give your life a meaning and learn the value of suffering. Don't avoid it, embrace it, and know through your tears of misery and pain that you are living a meaningful life.
  45.
  46. As an old saying goes, 'Suffer, suffer, you will get a brighter crown'.
  47.
  48. This is reference to our 'soul's clothing' in the astral side - the more you suffer, the more you learn. Every tear brings you a bit more wisdom, so when you get to the astral world, you will look more beautiful, because your soul is more humble and understanding - and perhaps more loving, now that you understand the plight of the downtrodden.
