Replace rear brake pads (MIT)

  1. To replace rear brake pads on mitsubishi::
  2. tools needed:
  3. - 14mm socket
  4. - 3/8 ratchet
  5. - 17mm thin wrench
  6. - 5mm allen key
  7. - 5mm allen socket
  8. - Big flat head screw driver
  9. - t40 torx socket
  10. - extra jack stand
  11.

  13. method::
  14. - disconnect neg terminal on battery
  15. - remove back of brake actuator cover (5mm allen)
  16. - turn the t40 screw on back of caliper clockwise
  17. - push brake caliper in with long flat screw driver (while caliper is still on)
  18. - once the caliper piston is all the way in
  19. - remove the two 14mm bolts and remove caliper
  20. - install new pads
  21. - push slider pins all the way in (must go all the way inn)
  22. - install caliper
