- To replace rear brake pads on mitsubishi::
- tools needed:
- - 14mm socket
- - 3/8 ratchet
- - 17mm thin wrench
- - 5mm allen key
- - 5mm allen socket
- - Big flat head screw driver
- - t40 torx socket
- - extra jack stand
- method::
- - disconnect neg terminal on battery
- - remove back of brake actuator cover (5mm allen)
- - turn the t40 screw on back of caliper clockwise
- - push brake caliper in with long flat screw driver (while caliper is still on)
- - once the caliper piston is all the way in
- - remove the two 14mm bolts and remove caliper
- - install new pads
- - push slider pins all the way in (must go all the way inn)
- - install caliper
