My boss left me after day one.

And here I was getting fired from an unpaid startup internship.

It gave me the courage to work for four more failed startups.

Because I saw it was possible.

Rather than scream that life wasn’t fair, I took it as a positive sign.

I asked what made him successful.

He replied, “I have the mentality of a rock climber. I don’t pay attention to politics or TV. I focus on what I can control. The three feet around me.”

Since that conversation, I dialed in my focus.

The next year and a half, I read close to 200 books about business.

Then published over 1000 articles.

Five years later, I've stepped into similar shoes as my roommate. I'm the co-founder of one the fastest growing agencies, BAMF Media.
