  1. Climate action and research to achieve net-zero by 2050 is important to me because I understand that our future and our children's future will rely on us to make an impact NOW. The methods used by big business and the amount of pollution released into the atmosphere has been improving, but there is still an incredible way to go until we're on target for net-zero.

  3. This specific course, in Environmental Management for Business, is an incredible opportunity to provide the knowledge and skillset neccessary to more effectively tackle climate change, and will set me up for a career where I can produce or develop strategies that will create a positive contribution to the world. The module on "Leading Corporate Sustainability" really appeals to me in particular, as I would love to gain a better understanding of how to best configure corporate action to promote sustainable business strategies. As I currently work in a position in middle-management at a Bar, which involves looking at environmental issues and maintaining and improving recycling practices, being able to dive deep into the world of corporate sustainability and learn from experts in the field is an exciting prospect.

  5. I have been following environment-based projects such as Nature Recovery, with their focus on land acquisition to secure a future with sustainable food production and strong habitats for nature. Also Green Future Ltd. and their vision of helping people to drive positive environmental change, and I know that they have business partnerships that could drive fundamental and lasting change within corporate. Being able to work with them in any capacity would be a massive asset to my experiences studying at Cranfield University.

  7. Cranfield University is one of the leading educators in not only environment studies, but in Management. This course, as the perfect culmination of both, is the perfect choice. I already work in Cranfield and am on campus frequently, so I know the area and many of the people that make the campus what it is for students. Through my studies I will be able to make clear and evidential change through my position working at the Student Bar, and I hope to make a lasting impact on the world through management positions in business after attaining my degree.
