State of the Smythe

A few weeks ago I posted that I have written 75 published scripts.

That is kind of a lie.

I have 3 exclusive scripts on Psstaudio.com which makes it 78.

I have 8 scripts that were published that I unpublished, which brings it to 86

I have 1 unreleased script that is timed for later this month.

I have 2 more Escort Gets a Daddy scripts that are unreleased.

I have 5 more Juniper’s Branching Out Scripts.

That is 93 scripts and I have only been doing much of this script writing since April.

Except for 2 scripts this month, everything I have been posted is either a repost/rebanding or something I had written months ago (the first Juniper’s Branching Out).

I write for pleasure, but the pleasure is running dry and is probably needing to be refueled.

I think my time in outputting 2-5 scripts a week is done unless something drastic occurs.

I know that one or two people that want to see my demise is cheering the fact that I may not be writing anymore, but haters gon’ hate and I acknowledge the fact that I have haters.

I’m not burnt out, but writing for my own pleasure may have run its course. It is like I know for damn certain if I got a commission I could finish it with ease, but if it’s writing for me, I think I might be done. I’ve had ideas pop in my head and started writing, but partway through I’ve just gone “meh, I’m not interested in this idea anymore” and abandon it. Maybe it will come up later or maybe not.

I can think of ideas, it’s just ideas that I really don’t want to write. For example, I write ideas out to people I am Patreon subscriber that request idea for Patreon posts. I can rapid-fire ideas, but I’m not sure if I’d actually be interested in writing any of them. I would be willing to write them out if they were giving me a commission.

See for me there is a joy of getting lost in the scriptwriting. It’s why I push out so many scripts. Ideas come up and I have to write them down, and when writing the idea down I just go “Fuck it I might as well write the whole thing” and hours later I have the whole thing written.

So right now I think the things that I need to recharge my personal juices will either be script fills or commissions to hopefully re-energize me.

So if you don’t see me as often as you do, that’s why. I’m still around, I just might wind up using most of October as downtime and see what the holidays bring… if anything. Either that or I might just throw a script out when I actually have something to write.
