- **Overhead smash**
- Aka *superpound*, it's the move with the best dps we have outside of wirebug skills and magtrio->infernals.
- Melodic slap on the other hand has terrible animation and damage.
- **Swing Combo**
- Swing combo does not remove crush or multicrush. It changes the follow up move after left and right swing.
- The move has decent damage and good gauge generation. However, it is not part of the core loops and is rarely used.
- Either Swing or Crush combo is fine.
- **Shockwave Silkbind**
- This is a huge damage buff and enables elemental horn. Sadly, the buff only last for 30seconds, try to keep it up throughout the hunt.
- It gives hyperarmor from the start of the animation till the peak of the jump.
- **Slide Beat**
- This move is really strong, however it has mostly taken a backseat as it's hard to juggle both this and the shockwave buff. and dereliction encouraging players not to swap scrolls.
- It is still really useful on match ups like allmother where almost every single of their attack can be perfectly answered with a slide beat.
- It gives hyperarmor from the start of the animation till end of the dash.
- **Bead of resonance**
- The bead which last for 1 minute plays the Attack up melody in addition to any songs you play.
- Use this in multiplayer when the horn you're using does not have attack up.
- In solo play, the attack up can still be valuable, however, you'll need a high attack uptime for it to be more effective than sonic bloom/earthshaker.
- Bead is still placed even if you get hit, so you can use it right before roars.
- **Earthshaker & Sonic Bloom**
- Both are good. Sonic bloom tends to be easier/safer to use since it's significantly less time commitment.
- Sonic bloom is good for wakeups.
- Earthshaker has hyperarmor from shortly after 1st hit to shortly after second hit.
- Bloom is still placed even if you get hit, so you can use it right before roars.
- **Performance VS Echo**
- Performance has generous i-frames at the start of it's animation. 10 frames at 30 fps.
- Echo has a higher reach and it's recital hits much harder and is very slightly faster.
- Song maintenance is easier on echo.
- Both recital modes are fine though echo is generally preferred.
- Tip for using echo: Sometimes you'll need to aim towards the left when you do a recital in order not to miss your attack since it's a swing that comes out from your right.
