- TIMID :
xiaomei generally likes to keep to herself most of the time. she likes it best when people approach her instead of the other way around. however, once you've met her, you'll notice that she tries her best to be friendly and naturally exerts a kind of warmth that easily draws the attention of anyone near.

- NERVOUS :
though she tries her best not to show it, xiaomei's a tiny ball of anxiety, ready to break down at any moment. it's not something she's fond of admitting, but she does get easily nervous - especially in social situations. no matter how insignificant it might be (say, introducing herself to a new person), she can't seem to keep herself from feeling scared that people would view her in a negative light if she were to make even the tiniest mistake. the same goes for when she has to perform. she gets very nervous and jittery right before, but for some reason she can't exactly explain, all of her nerves and worries fly out the window the moment she steps on stage.

- HELPFUL :
xiaomei loves helping others as much as she can and is generally pretty reliable if you give her a task to do.

- SOFT :
xiaomei's soft in more ways than one. first off, she's incredibly soft-spoken in real life, even though it's a bit hard to believe once you've seen the presence she has on stage. once she's gotten used to you, she's someone who loves skinship and will cuddle you to death if you asked.

- DEDICATED :
xiaomei absolutely loves performing and tries to make sure that she's always giving her 100% every time she performs. she borders the line of a perfectionist very often and trains day in and day out, sometimes overworking herself to her wits end.

- SELF-CRITICAL :
whenever she makes a mistake in anything, she'll mull over it for as long as she can. she has trouble stopping herself from criticizing each step she takes and it really doesn't help that she's insanely insecure about pretty much everything about her. try as she might, she can't seem to find a way to make her feel as if she's good enough at anything she does.


 ｡ﾟ･ BACKGROUND —
though she was born in beijing, china, xiaomei moved to south korea at the age of 5 after her parents found better job opportunities there. she was very chubby as a kid and was often teased by her classmates. she tried her best to get along with everyone, but it didn't exactly work, which is probably why she's become so timid and insecure. regardless, she kept her head up and turned to music to help her get through the days whenever the insults got too bad. once she entered high school, she forced herself to start going on diets and to work out everyday. the bullying eventually stopped, but the memories of their hurtful words would remain in her thoughts forever. after graduating high school and gathering as much courage and confidence as she possibly could, she decided to audition for jellyfish entertainment so she could finally fulfill her dreams of performing on stage.
