  1. Meanwhile, I teleported to the roof, and drew my bow. It was a split second's thought to create a crude arrow from the asphalt of the roof. I felt the staves of the bow creak and grind as I applied my superhuman strength to bending the string back, relying on borrowed memories for the proper form and posture, sighting down the arrow out of habit despite Quarrel's powers making it completely unnecessary. As I bent the string back, I applied my powers to my swarm, sending my fastest fliers out to the edges of my power's range, sending them high and in groups to try and make it easier to see through their eyes. After a few seconds, one group spotted a police car, the flashing lights making it easy to pick out.

  3. Despite the fact that I was blocks away, with no direct line of sight, I loosed the quarrel.

  5. It went cleanly through the police car's engine block. The car skidded to a halt, so I put the next arrow through the front tire of an eighteen-wheeler turning left, immobilizing it in the middle of a major intersection. It only took me two more arrows before I started to see police cars in the distance slowing down to stay out of range, I assumed so they could wait for Protectorate backup.
