I used to be the same way about taking essences from people.

The good thing about blood (I'm assuming blood, but I thought that was just Erathaol, I'm sorry) is that it replenishes itself, or else humans would have to have been way more careful about skinning knees or cutting up onions.
I think the problem here is that you don't...like what you are, which is valid, and you've probably already realized it, but pacing yourself in anything is important.
Technically, if you found the right girl, you could do exactly what I do.
