  1. Dun would nod steadily as he turned to the alloy that remained within the crucible, humming to himself in consideration as he prepared for the next step in the process at hand. The primary barrel had to be forged, mounted, and wired before they could complete the final chassis and casing. It was an integral part of the design going forth.
  2.
  3. Steadily, a mould was manifested out of hard energy, a cylinder with a riveted, rifled core to allow the barrel maximum sorcerous acceleration. Such minute details would be difficult to manifest from thought alone, but as both a master energy magi and a blind sage, his visualization ability was second to very few.
  4.
  5. The alloy would be progressively poured into the five foot long barrel shape, the hard energy locking in and already beginning to shape and groove against the soul steel alloy to forge it. With rapid, hammering strikes of time-accelerated precision around the mould, the massive barrel of the anti-material manarifle was progressively shaped with the artisanal patience of the clown.
  6.
  7. After a time, the great, heavy barrel would be laid upon the anvil, glimmering gunmetal that Task would begin to line the entire expanse of in runes of time and energy, compelling it to service as a warper of space-time as much as a rifle without compare.
  8.
  9. Progressively, It would come together. At last the four foot barrel would be raised up to the lense and trigger mechanism, softly laid upon the barrel over the top before being slotted into the remaining space the artisan had left in the assembly of the mechanism. It was a loose fit for now.
  10.
  11. "Good work my son. Now Hades, run your energy through the length of this barrel like your fast forwarding time, I need to tune it as I wire it up with the rest of the rifle before we can get on to the final business."
  12.
  13. The barrel would slowly be tightened into place, giving Hades ample time to attune to the weapon as Task worked.
  14. (Dun Task)
  15. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  16.
  17. Green eyes study the movements of his father's hands as the reformed boomstick is broken then molded again. Precious alloys become components to what might very well be the mightiest gun ever used on Essharan soil.
  18.
  19. But his task was a specific one. Accelerating the barrel the same way he would if he was accelerating time with his base magic.
  20.
  21. "I can do that. Let me see.."
  22.
  23. Digits dance across the length of the barrel, creating gylphs and runes that would act as step by step instructions for his time magic. While they were primarily simple in design, the combination of them is what would bring about the effect the elder Task was looking for.
  24.
  25. "Accelerate."
  26.
  27. With the snap of two fingers, the leylines snap to the barrel and begin to funnel his chronomancy to perform something just shy of a miracle.
  28.
  29. Energy and time mixing together to condition the barrel for the battles to come.
  30.
  31. Despite the primary focus, it is a bit ofa slow process. One that is paused on occasion for the man to catch his breath. But in the end, it is completed with a bit of style.
  32. (Hades Task)
  33. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. Dun would nod steadily to Hades as he clicked his teeth together, progressively wiring and tuning the assembly with the new barrel. Already as the wires were fastened in to primary barrel, it surged with chrono energy like a crashing wave. Reverberating with condensed strength and sheer conducive potential.
  36.
  37. With an audible clicking sound and lock, the primary barrel was fastened to the lense, leaving Task the effort of steadily tuning it with the two barrels and interconnecting their wiring to ensure the maximum velocity of mana could be manifested in the rifle.
  38.
  39. More molten alloy was dredged forth, adding a series of accelerating coils up the length of the four foot barrel until it was entirely covered head to toe in far too much juice. It could put an elephant down with a click, and the wiring was fully interconnected between the rift claw hair-trigger, the amplifying lense, the chrono-accelerator, and the twin barrels.
  40.
  41. "Alright Hades, run a full circuit of your energy through the full system. Last calibrations before we move on to the final component; the acceleration chassis that will contain it all, reabsorb any spillover, and redirect it into the shot."
  42. (Dun Task)
  43. It was almost complete.
  44.
  45. Hades takes the unfinished work into his hand and holds it up to the ceiling, peering down the line of the barrel to examine it. Everything seemed to be in order.
  46.
  47. From the alignments, to the way the alloys had been melded and smithed together. All that was left was for him to put his own stamp on things.
  48.
  49. And so he does, in the most flashy way possible.
  50.
  51. "Valero has the clock-up. Revan deflects. I guess my calling will be..."
  52.
  53. Mana surges out around him, pulsing through his very veins and limbs on its way to feed into the reformed Boomstick. As he glows with the green and violet hues of his magic, the rifle does too. Going from a tool to a living, breathing item whose power surged with every pulse from its wielder's frame.
  54.
  55. A dramatic twirl of the rifle is given before he points it downwards, looking down the scope once more.
  56.
  57. "Accel."
  58.
  59. And a burst of time magic erupts through both himand the rifle, lighting the room ablaze.
  60. (Hades Task)
