  5. Kinda shocked this hasn't been bigger in popheads especially in the aftermath of SOUR, and happier than ever last year, because this is a great fucking album and a big surprise for me. Like Olivia and Billie there is a Gen-zness to this album that can occasionally be annoying, but when it isn't being annoying, it becomes depressingly compelling. The kind of album you just want to put on over and over again to revisit all the emotions. five seconds flat opens up with Doomsday, a very morbid but genuinely impressive song as its atmosphere shifts between the more theatrical vibe and the more disturbing edge that is "killing" her. And while the rest of the album isn't able to create something as masterful as doomsday, there are still a lot of great songs here. The collaboration with Jacob Collier, erase me, that has a delightful chorus, or the fragile relationship that is collapsing in reckless driver with Ben Kessler, and the sudden cut of the song at the end (yeah it's cliché but I still love) . Really my only problem with five seconds flat is despite being only 45 minutes long, it feels longer. I wish there was more variation in the mood and tone, even if no two songs on the project are undistinguishable. But I really like it, Billie, Olivia and Phoebe fans should check also check it out.
