My cat

Putting my cat to sleep was the hardest thing I've ever done. I know it was the right thing to do before he was too frail and in pain all the time but he loved me so much and I loved him and it just hurts. I would do anything to have him back and I feel incredibly lost not having him as a focal point for my day. I did everything for him, to see him, to come back to him, to make sure he was taken care of and not lonely. And now I'm empty. The whole house is silent, the TVs aren't kept on for him to have some noise around him, his water dish is off, I can't hear his claws clicking on the kitchen floor. All I can do is hold his favorite stuffed animal and stare at pictures and videos. He went to sleep in my lap, leaning into me and his head across my leg like always and I made sure he knew I loved him, petting him until it was done. He was my world.
