- My girlfriend, is a girl I messed around with a few times but we never dated. Right before I started dating my daughter’s mom, we were kinda seeing each other. Then I started to date my daughter’s mom. She got pregnant pretty quickly and we tried to make it work before we broke up 2 years ago.
- I recently started seeing this other woman again and things are great. We get along we have pretty much been inseparable these last 6 months. Then, my ex started asking me to take our daughter more. So I did, and bringing her around my girlfriend, who is great with her. They play, talk, and she makes my baby laugh so hard.
- Today, I have my daughter. So for Valentine’s Day we went and had a Picnic at the park. Things were great. It was the happiest day of my life. Tonight though, I got this text from my girlfriend. “I can’t see you anymore, we are over. The emotions daughter makes me feel are not okay. I hate her, or something close to that. That isn’t fair to her, and so we need to stop seeing each other. I will have your stuff to you next weekend. I took mine while I was there. Oh and the next time you get a girlfriend... you might wanna tell the other girl you’re sleeping with.”
- This is left field. My messages to her aren’t delivering. My calls go straight to her voicemail. I can’t let this relationship go. This is my soulmate. Can I suggest counseling? Give up my rights? I need this woman...
- Why is she saying this after everything? She’s great with my daughter.... my kid is already talking about the next time we see her. It’s not that she doesn’t want kids, she told me she does. I am grasping at straws here and I need help.
- Tl;dr girlfriend broke up with me because she doesn’t want my daughter around. Need advice to make this work. Anything.
- Edit: drove to her apartment and cried a lot. She acted fine with my daughter while we were there so I don’t get it. She said she’ll call me tomorrow
