- Buy 2 Potions, 2 Repels, 1 X Speed and 3 X Attacks

ROUTE 104/PETALBURG WOODS
- Take the beach path, and pick up the Potion
- Don't pick up the Ether
- Get TM09 (Bullet Seed) and the Oran Berries

ROUTE 116
- Don't teach Rock Tomb

RUSTBORO CITY
- Sell TM09 and TM39
- Buy 4 Super Potions and 5 Repels

ROUTE 104
- Run from Rock Smash slaves
- Exit the grass four tiles to the right of Rich Boy Winston

DEWFORD CAVE
- Run from high-level Zubats (can't kill them without Rock Tomb)
- Kill Makuhitas if it's safe
- When you evolve, teach Mud Shot over Growl

ROUTE 109
- Don't get the Ether

SLATEPORT CITY
- Tackle x2 on the museum Zubat
- Skip the mart

ROUTE 110
- Don't fight Timmy on purpose
- Rival 2: If 10603: X Attack once, then Mud-Slap the Wailmer on turn 2, then finish setting up. If 10602 or hit Timmy: Mud-Slap on turn 1, then set up

MAUVILLE CITY
- Take the center after getting the bike
- PP after Wattson: 35/10/6/24 (accounts for 1 Mud Shot miss)

RUSTURF TUNNEL
- On the Repel menu, teach Rock Smash to Marshtomp over Mud-Slap
