- I distributed gifts among the people, when I had the Khan's cautious blessing. Just little things, and nothing that could impress people used to the marvels that were traded up and down the Silk Road every day. But they appreciated the gestures. So did the Khan and the Princess, as long as I kept the gifts humble.
