Data which looks at something indrectly or I tandem with many other variables is not good. People do this a lot with comparing regions to one another as proxies for some other quality they see as covarying with those regions

Self report data is only good when asking about something subjective the person rates for themselves.

In both of the above, try to use other data points to reduce uncertainty
