Location: Outside Eternia, Chapter 5.

Jobs Required:
Black Mage (Lv 11) - For Black Magic Lv 5 and M.Atk 20% Up
Merchant (Lv 9) - For Support Ability More Money
Arcanist (Lv 2) - For Support Ability Black Magic Amp
Swordmaster (Lv 14) - For Bushido Ability Free Lunch

Job: Black Mage (All Characters)
Command: Bushido (All Characters)
Support Abilities: Black Magic Amp (From Arcanist), M.Attack 20% Up (From Black Mage), More Money (From Merchant) (All Characters)

Equipment: Rods, other items that raise Intelligence/M.Atk
Recommended Equipment: Wizard's Rod (x8), Circlet (x4), Gaia Gear (x4), Soul of Thamasa, Amulet.
One party member should have Alarm Earrings (lowers enemies' first strike rate), another Golden Egg (doubles pg, no exp/jp)

Wizard's Rod can be purchased from the Eternia Armory for 9,000pg each [72,000 total], Circlets for 4,000pg each [16,000 total], Gaia Gear for 11,000pg each [44,000 total].

Alarm Earrings can be purchased from the Red Mage Traveling Merchant for 5,000pg. Golden Egg is 200,000pg, Growth Egg (see info below) costs 500,000pg.

All the monsters outside of Eternia in Chapter 5 are weak to ice.

If you do not have Free Lunch, Battle Setup is Brave 3x, Firaga All Enemies (4x). Use the Inn (70pg) as necessary to restore MP.

If you do have Free Lunch, Battle setup is Brave 3x, Free Lunch, Firaga all enemies (3x).

While one enemy can use reflect, if your M.Atk is high enough and you have Alarm Earrings on, you can beat them all before they get a chance to attack. Free Lunch requires a full Swordmaster, but this means you spend 0 MP to cast (otherwise it's 68 MP PER FIRAGA do to the boost).

Yes, this setup takes some initial investment [137,000pg for equipment, 200,000pg for Golden Egg, 500,000pg for Growth Egg = 837,000pg total], but you can build it up and then add in what's needed later. Hey, it takes money to make money. And Growth Egg will help you build up those higher job levels anyways.

If you don't have Free Lunch, here's the best way to get it incorporated.

First, if you have 200,000pg, get the Golden Egg. This will speed up money making. If you don't have it, do enough battles until you can purchase it.

Once you have the Golden Egg, you won't gain EXP or JP, so make sure you have everything else learned. Equip Golden Egg and battle until you get 500,000pg. This is enough to purchase the Growth Egg. This will REALLY come in handy for earning EXP and JP, because it doubles it (at the cost of no money).

Once you have the Growth Egg, swap this in place of the Golden Egg. Make your character's job Swordmaster with Black Magic for secondary.

Once you master the Swordmaster job, bring back in the Golden Egg and go back to the strats listed above.
