TIFU by trying to teach my bird cute phrases

So I've had my budgie for a year or so and he's a super lovely little baby who learns to mimic pretty fast. I mostly teach him cute things to say because I am only ever nice to him; he is a beacon of my love and kindness.

So until recently he could say:

"Gimme a kiss"

"Hello Percy" (his name)

"Come here"

"I love you"

"Thank you"

"Baby" which he liberally mixes with the other phrases (eg. Gimme a kiss baby 🤢)

And also a crude imitation of my crude imitation of his pilot call.

However, lately I've occasionally been jokingly calling him a stinky boy, as normally it takes him a while to properly pick up a phrase. Unfortunately stinky and thank you sound somewhat similar (to the mind of a budgie I guess) so he's adopted this into his vocabulary extra fast and now whenever I give him a kiss he says STINKYOU instead of thankyou.

He also calls me a stinky boy sometimes 😔

TL;DR: Parrots are mirrors of our own inner psyche and we must consider our actions fully before calling them a stinky boy.
