- Page 2 - Valkim - I sniffed you since you arrived
- Page 3 - Valkim – I cannot allow you to kill alpha, Viaco!!
- Page 4 - Viaco – Oh really brother? Even if it means... that you must die in his stead?
- Page 7 - Valkim – You lost your knife. How are you going to kill me without it?
- Page 7 - Viaco – I never needed it!
- Page 7 - Valkim – The bigger the ego, the harder the fall.
- Page 9 - Viaco – You were right about the fall. Now... I will keep my promise. *Sigh* Forgive me!!
- Page 10 - Valkim – Not yet!!
- Page 11 - Viaco – Oh shit! I should`ve brought another knife. - I made the mistake of underestimating him. - What the hell was I thinking? - There you are.
- Page 13 - Viaco – I can`t get any closer! - His weapon won`t let me! - I can`t believe I fucked this up too!
- Page 14 - Great... - I'm better off dead anyway. (perhaps: Soon it will all be over)
- Page 18 - What motivates someone, to live a life, where every good thing that ever happened to them, is going to reach an end? Because no matter all those battle scars on his body, or the cold and the hunger that he`s had to endure... To escape from this life once in a while, to feel that it all means something, this is what makes it worth it to him, and making it last as long as he can, even though he knows there won't be a happy ending, is the best he can hope for.
- Page 18 - Valkim – Something wrong? (or perhaps: What's up?)
- Page 19 - Reality comes knocking at Viaco's door, -- when he realizes that everything he has, everything he has left in this life, is right here next to him.
- Page 19 - Viaco – Do you know something about the plans of the Amazing Greys?
- Page 19 - Dawn would soon come, and with it the time of departure, the time to put the uniform back on and for each one to go back to his reality.
- Page 19 - Valkim - The Amazing Greys' next move will be to seize the dam that supplies both clans. Then they will deny water to anyone who isn't from the clan.
- Page 19 - When the canines split into clans and the civil war came to an end, a deal was worked out to share natural resources like water.
- Page 19 - Viaco – Then it is inevitable. A war is coming.
- Page 20 - Viaco – Worse... The Diamond Dogs suspect something about us... and they... they... Damn it... They told me to... I can't do it...
- Page 20 - Valkim – They doubt your loyalty. And to prove your obedience they ordered you to liquidate me.
- Page 20 - He is an elite assassin of the Diamond Dogs. He has killed hundreds in cold blood without showing any pity or remorse. He has inflicted and suffered immense physical pain in his life, but nothing could prepare him for the pain he feels in his heart today.
- Page 21 - Valkim – It's ok... There are things we can't change.
- Page 21 - Viaco – But we can choose. Forge our own destinies.
- Page 21 - Valkim – I know where this is going, and the path you suggest leads to a life without honor and a death as a traitor.
- Page 21 - Viaco – But we would be together... if you escape with me...
- Page 21 - Valkim – What? No!
- Page 21 - Valkim – Don't do it.
- Page 21 - Viaco – With you at my side it'd be very easy,
- Page 21 - Valkim – To...
- Page 21 - Viaco – We'd build another cabin farther away...
- Page 21 - Valkim – Stop. That's enough...
- Page 21 - Viaco – Deeper, where no one could find us...
- Page 21 - Valkim – SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH!
- Page 21 - Valkim – You know very well what we are. You also knew very well that it wouldn't last. And above all you knew what the consequences would be.
- Page 22 - Valkim – Where on Earth would we go? To the East with the reptiles? To the south with the cats? With the humans? Even better! Why don't we go north and freeze?
- Page 22 - Viaco – I'd rather freeze to death in your arms than die by your hand.
- Page 22 - Without honor there is no purpose, there is no life. And in many cases honor is inseparable from loyalty (wasn't sure about 'cinculado'). Loyalty that Valkim feels towards those who took him in when he was an orphan. And to choose between the dog he has loved more than anyone else in his life and the people who saved him from certain death causes Valkim's ideals to conflict.
- Page 23 - Viaco – You can say what you want but I'm tired... tired of the cold, of the pain... of missing you... of being alone...
- Page 23 - Valkim – Viaco, listen to me. We aren't simple civilians who are free to do what they want. We are elite soldiers, and your allegiance is to the Diamond Dogs, just like mine is to the Amazing Greys. This is our reality, this is what we are, my love... Viaco, if the Amazing Greys ask me to, I will have to kill you... And the best you can do is to honor me and our love by doing the same thing.
- Page 24 - Valkim – You have to promise me...
- Page 24 - Viaco – Yes, I promise you...
- Page 25 - Viaco – Grrr. You! You damned bastard. You made me promise.
- Page 25 - Valkim – I can't do it... I thought I could it... Free myself from you and this cursed love.
- Page 25 - Valkim – Damned Viaco. I love you so.
- Page 26 - Viaco – You gave me your stupid speech about honor, loyalty... and you didn't even have the courage to keep your promise.
- Page 26 - Viaco – and yet... you were right. It doesn't matter where we go, we'd never live in peace. Whether we die fighting other species... or we simply end up like today... it doesn't matter, the end result is the same. *Sigh* There is no happy ending to our story.
- Page 26 - Far away from their land there are many more species, and none of them would let a pair of exiles set one foot without permission, much less allow a pair of dogs to live on their territory. It cannot be, it is impossible and disgraceful and shameful for whoever allows it.
- Page 26 - Volgin – What are you waiting for, Valkim? Finish him.
- Page 27 - Valkim – General Volgin! W-What are you doing here?
